Try a protein shake at night before you go to bed. If you drink it with water or almond milk, you'll cut some of the calories but feel fuller for longer. AND it gives your body the nutrients it needs to rebuild that muscle.

I've recently been through the same thing. I was told that I have an eating disorder because of how obsessively I track. So for right now, I'm not allowed to track for a month. =( I am finding that I'm moving more since I don't know exactly how many calories I'm taking in.

It's good that you can recognize it. Just remember, if you aren't at your best for yourself, you can't be at your best for others. It's perfectly ok to put yourself first. =D

I agree with cutting her calories. That's a lot for someone her size to be taking in. Also, she's taking in a lot of refined grains. Crackers are awful when you're trying to cut that last little bit. Also, she needs to take in protein at breakfast. Instead of the breakfast bar, try a couple of hard boiled eggs and a slice…

You can do this. Have you talked to your doctor about things you can do to help you? Even if you don't lose weight, they should be able to help you be healthier.

Eat a healthy, protein packed snack at night. For gaining, eating is not a bad thing, but you want to gain muscle, not fat. Are you getting enough protein during the day? A peanut butter sandwich on whole grain bread is a great late night snack for anyone looking to gain weight. My roommate does weight training daily. He…

Female 5'7" 34 years old SW: 168 CW: 130 GW: Well, it was 135, but when I hit that and still had an actual body fat measurement of 29%, it changed. My goal is 18% body fat. According to my nutritionist, in order to get to that, I will probably end up right about 118 lbs. I'm losing weight because I have medical issues that…

I can't agree with this enough. I'm building muscle while still at 1200 calories a day. I'm losing weight, building muscle, and feeling a whole lot better than I did before. I'm working with my Dr, a nutritionist and a dietician to ensure that I get everything that I need on a regular basis. My muscle mass has increased,…

It's DANGEROUS to believe in things like this. You start diets that can be detrimental and undo every bit of success that you have previously had. The BEST and most ACCURATE way to begin any type of weight loss program is to speak with a Dr, a dietician, and a nutritionist. Working with ALL of them will ensure that you are…

It sounds completely reasonable. The bigger you are, the faster you will shed those initial pounds. Two pounds a week is total reasonable. 1900 calories is too. I've been on 1200 calories a day for six months. Just remember to eat for fuel and you'll be fine. When you're counting every morsel that goes into your mouth, you…

When I first started this process, I went to my local fitness center and used the BodPod. I was 168lbs and 54% body fat. I was absolutely mortified. In the past 6 months, I have dropped from 168 to 130. I've gone from 54% body fat to 25%. I'm eating 1200 calories a day. I do cardio for 30 minutes and weight training for 30…
