I just tried the Quest peanut butter chocolate protein crunch bar. It's good, but not as good as the cinnamon or waffle ones. The peanut butter taste is just not strong enough for me (a common complaint from me about many peanut butter products) and the chocolate is not that noticeable.

Trader Joe's is now making copycat Kind bars which are probably cheaper, if you have TJs around. If you just want an at-your-desk appropriate breakfast, there are many options. Do you have a microwave? I would probably pack oatmeal and reheat it. I would cook a large batch of steel cut oats (just my preference) in advance…

Which Kodiak mix did you get? I use the whole wheat, oat, and honey one, which is a just-add-water variety. I like it a lot! I haven't tried mix-ins, I just put different toppings on.

I just tried the Quest Protein Crunch bar in the waffle flavour. It's great too! (I've previously tried and loved the cinnamon one.) This one has a maple drizzle across the top. It is quite sweet and has a slightly artificial sweetener taste to it, but it's still yummy. The price is still a turn off, since they are more…

Mint Oreos are not new to Canada - maybe just new to your area. I ate them often in my early teen years (and am 23 now).

Yeah, I tried the oatmeal chocolate chip and blueberry muffin bars as well as the cinnamon protein crunch bar. I posted reviews in this thread, but they basically boil down to: the oatmeal and blueberry bars taste strongly of corn fiber so that ruins them for me (no surprise), the oatmeal one is also very sweet. I think…

I tried the new Quest vanilla keto cup (only available through Quest labs at the moment). It was pretty bland really. I regret spending ~150 calories on it. It wasn't actually *bad*, but I could have had a serving of ice cream instead.

I didn't get any digestive issues from the bar, though I was slightly worried that I might. I'm sensitive to sugar alcohols, but I guess this is different. Though the bar does also include erythritol and doesn't list the amount...

All except the cereal bars came in plain white wrappers with a sticker with the nutritional label on it.

It's not really meant as a negative review. It's good for a new formula Quest bar. I just don't care for the corn fiber taste and so none are that good to me anymore. If it doesn't bother you and you like the white choc raspberry one you will probably like it. I didn't notice the flavour of the muffin bits though. Also the…

Weird, I didn't find it any drier than a normal cereal bar by Quaker or similar. I tried the new blueberry muffin flavour (of normal protein bars). Strong corn taste, as usual for new Quest bars. It's very similar to the white chocolate raspberry, but blueberries and some added "pastry"(?) bits. I bet it would have been…

I tried the new Quest oatmeal chocolate chip bar as well. Not impressed. It tasted good for the first 5 seconds or so, a pleasant oaty flavour, kind of like an oatmeal cookie. But after that it just tasted too salty and strongly of artificial sweetener and corn fiber.

I signed up for Quest labs and got my shipment of one of each of most of the new products today. I didn't get the chips or the rocky road bar because they were sold out, and only got a few of the keto cups since they will be hard to fit into my days. For context, I'm not much of a Quest fan since they changed to corn…

I like using strawberry preserves in place of the sweetener. PB&J! Also, yogurt w/ PB (or PB powder) makes a tasty dip for fruit and veg.

I like adding a small amount of cheesecake pudding mix to greek yogurt, but I wouldn't claim it actually tastes like cheesecake. It's yummy, but not any kind of substitute IMO. Though I had it with some lemon curd today and it was really delicious.

If you mean coconut milk in a can (sometimes called coconut cream), I would make a coconut milk curry! There are lots of tasty recipes out there.

I like B-Up bars a lot more than new formula Quest bars. In particular, the cinnamon roll, peanut butter, and mint chocolate flavours are great. The only one I wouldn't buy again is the chocolate chip cookie dough, which was very bland. If you order directly from Yup (manufacturer) they are super soft and fresh!
-
Right now, I would make some chocolate peanut butter bars. But long term, I would probably eat a lot more fruit than I do currently. I really like fruit, but it's not at all satiating for me so I actually find it difficult to fit in my calories without being hungry.

If you have a scale, you could either remove the meat from the bone and weigh it before you eat, or weigh before you eat and then weigh the bones after and subtract.

Canned coconut milk is sometimes called coconut cream and it is a completely different thing to the carton stuff sold as a milk replacement. It's very tasty, but it's super high in fat and calories and definitely not something you're going to put on cereal, though you could put some in oatmeal if you have room for the…

This pic is from Spotted on Shelves, spotted in Australia. But my sister is living in Korea right now and they have them there too. She sent me a package. They got a bit crushed and are somewhat stale, but I can tell that if you like coffee flavoured desserts you will like these. They don't really scream "tiramisu" though,…

Others have already said most of what I would have to say (mostly, you are a bit over the top IMO, but I also understand your frustration). However, the part "she waved a cookie in my daughters face and asked if ok to give my daughter an Oreo along with the other kids" - how do you think your daughter would feel if…

Probably not new, but I hadn't seen them before. So good!! I'm not a big fan of their dark chocolate peanut butter cups, but I love these. Approximately 190 cal for 3.

@Francl27 You might be interested in the blog "What's Good at Trader Joe's?" if you've never heard of it.

Well, there's already a TJ's love thread going on these forums. Oh, I forgot about this one! I should have returned it, but that went into the garbage. Bleck.

Whenever I add greek yogurt and/or protein powder to oatmeal, I do it after it's cooked. Usually I cook a big batch of oatmeal and reheat it for breakfasts throughout the week. The exception to this is when I'm making an overnight oats type thing (yogurt flavoured as desired, with some milk and raw rolled oats added).

Thank you, but I'm not after dairy free cheese. I've tried several and have not liked any.
-
But I'm not aware of a cheddar that falls into that category! The hard cheeses have their uses, but are not what I need for every dish. edit: When I first responded, I was on the app and the picture didn't appear. Is that a lactose free mozzarella?? I will have to read the packing on some Kraft cheese I guess! Thank you.

I'm not a fan of their tomato basil hummus. It's just not right as a hummus for me. Maybe as a creamy pizza sauce or something. Others rave about it, so maybe it's just me. I usually buy their 2% and whole milk greek yogurts and mix them. I like Chobani full fat more, but no stores nearby carry it. I can't think of…

I notice your diary is empty. Try logging your food for a week. Eat however you want during this time, including the shakes if you like. Eating a specific way, e.g. whole foods only, won't guarantee weight loss if you are eating too much of it. Some whole foods are very calorie dense!! So, just try logging your food for a…
