So once the menopause is over and done, does the weight become easier to manage again?

I have read and read this 3500 equals a lb of fat, and not seen one shred of evidence. and I have looked. It actually doesn't make much sense to me either.

I don't know how much you intend to do on the bike, but it takes a long time to burn 4-500 calories!

I don't get it. I am in the same situation as her, with a different doctor reaching the same conclusions. Why do people think they know more than the medically trained doctors. we are all different

Eating 100 calories a day less for a year may not make you lose 10lbs, it may make you 10lbs lighter than you would have been. It may mean only putting on 2 stone instead of 3 stone of course!

It's been widely accepted for a while that the sort of exercise you would have to do to make a difference is mind-blowing! But that it makes a greater difference in men than women. I know, not fair!

But eating back calories has made Donna put on weight. So what should she do? It's too easy to say that it should work so if it isn't you must be writing it down wrong

If loads of women cite this as a reason, is this not anecdotal evidence rather than an excuse? I was told, by a doctor, that hormone pills don't make you put on weight but can stop you losing,.. What happens then is you go on holiday gain a few lbs an can't lose it again. Long weekend, 2lbs on, can't lose it. SO eventually…

I put on 3 stone on depo, I was also moody, depressed, and had no sex drive! No periods, but permament PMT!

I don't fill in the exercise diary. I walk and jog/stagger. Recently, I ahve been waling 8-9 miles oince a week, and jog on treadmill for around 5 k a couple of times a week. I also do reistance work, and try to attend a pump class once a wek. I'm nowhere near as fit as I wa a couple of years ago , it does ahve to be said.…

Hmmm. But exercise really makes no diffrence to my weight loss. I ahve found this over the years. Makes me feel loads bettr, less flabby and less grumpy and I will continue with it/. But doesn't help me lose weight. 1200 calories a week really isn't low enough for me to lose weight at all I have found too. If I aim for .5…
