Oh wait i think I have cancer. I know I will ask on a fitness board for my diagnosis rather than go and see a real doctor. I am sorry lady but you are being stupid. If you really think you have a tumor then go and see a genuine doctor and get a genuine diagnosis. Because nothing said here is an expert opinion and even if…

Definite progress. It's not just you.

I seem to have trouble sticking to my limits in the winter. I dunno there's something about the cold that makes me just wanna eat more and move less. I'm not gonna beat myself up about it too much and get back into it hardcore in the summer. And I've hardly turned into a couch potato =). I still do 3 distance runs a week…

It's true that if all you want is strength and you really don't care about the fat then you shouldn't really cut. Any cutting no matter how conservative will deter muscle growth time. That's why all the really big power lifters aren't ripped. It's because they never cut. However it's not because the fat actually helps…

Do you use whey protein when you lift? A big protein shake tends to make me bloat.

Dude please just stop focusing on minute details. I made the same mistake for quite a long time. And although I had success it wasn't due to restricting salt or anything like that. It was simply that I ate moderately enough and exercised well enough. I am sorry but if you aren't losing weight then you aren't trying hard…

I have the same experiences with fluffy delicious muffins.

You need to get over your self hatred. I too suffered from this. I know it's not an easy battle. But you need to forgive yourself for being yourself. When I was morbidly obese I thought I'm ok i am just being me. But deep down inside I loathed myself. My greed and my laziness and my lack of strength or willpower. My weight…

The only organisms that have to worry about food timing are called Mogwai. They definitely shouldn't eat after midnight. Bad stuff happens.

Protein bars like the optimum nutrition ones can be a good way. 20g of protein in about 180 calories is very good density. High protein greek yoghurt is also a good source. About the best thing for protein density though is simply lean grilled chicken.

well it's a load of horse doody for me. just cos you where deluded doesn't mean everyone is.

Yes you will have some loose skin. It probably won't be a major problem if you lose the weight in a healthy manner but genetics play a big role. Make sure you pay attention to your nutrition. And exercise regularly. Using a loofa a skin drybrush or some exfoliating agent is good. But as far as your skin goes nutrition >…

Unhealthy tasty food was the only joy in my life for a while. True it became a crutch but that wasn't really the food's fault. Fact is it made life bearable. So here you have it a life made longer and richer by fast food. And eventually I pulled myself outta that pit. And I owe i all to the tasty tasty food that made it…

Totally happens to me. I think the more fat you have the more likely it is to happen.

So you saw an article with extremely shaky science on the internet and just posted it? Ahhh I see it's not something subtle and understandable like confirmation bias. You are just irresponsible. Also be careful not to type your reply inside the quotation tags.

Sorry but it really is. Being specific about the sample size and how you obtain accurate data is one of the hallmarks of a good scientific study. The only thing in this study which even refers to sample size is simply labeling it "sufficient". But what is sufficient? Is 50 participants sufficient? 5? 3? We have no idea how…

I read the study it does not even specify it's sample sizes or how it accounts for the veracity of participants report data. It is therefore highly suspect and likely has an agenda. Fat peoples skin is put through the wringer because it is stretched out and skin folds have a tendency to nurse things like sores and dry…

Most times I would say they are just being douche bags. But there is one occasion where I stopped another gym member and gave him some advice because his form was so utterly utterly terrible and he was overloading so much weight that I thought he was going to hurt himself. Sometimes, very rarely it's an act of concern.…

If you are small and have little/no muscle mass this is indeed possible. It is not healthy.

Well you feel deprived when you eat healthy. Does that mean you are really eating healthy? Are you getting enough fats and protein or are you living on salad and good intentions? I can certainly understand where you are coming from. I was on about 8-10k calories a day before I started tracking according to my estimations.…

In my opinion cardio is best done early resistance training best done later on. Since early cardio carries it's benefits for the rest of the day. And the stimulation from lifting heavy weights will result in better muscle growth from the anabolism of sleep. However whenever you can is also valid. It's not a night and day…

Do not self diagnose, See a doctor.

Of course i'm not suggesting risking hypothermia here. Just that you should pay attention to how the internal heat is gonna escape from your body =)

Some music that gets your adrenaline pumping can help. As can attention to form. It's amazing what simply controlling your head or arm position can do for your speed.

Try to avoid self diagnosis. I too thought I had a meniscus tear or some joint problem that would require surgery to fix. Turned out what I actually had was a severe muscular imbalance. A massage from the physio and some attention to stretching and strengthening the weakened muscles to rebalanced the area and the pain…

Try adding some protein too. Prawns, Salt beef or chicken can make a salad much more satisfying. Make your own dressings. Simplest way is lemon juice a bit of olive oil and salt and herbs to taste. Try some hard to find herbs like soumak. Or ad pieces of toasted pitta bread. A salad is nearly always healthy but it doesn't…

Chances are you went anabolic for a while. When you switch from losing weight to gaining weight a number of things happen. The muscles store more glycogen and thus more water and your body generally starts retaining weight. It is not uncommon to see a sudden gain in weight when coming off a diet even if you do it sensibly.…

Skin tightening takes time. There is no getting around that. And sometimes it simply can't tighten completely. But what you do can have and impact. Make sure to keep the skin clean and look after it exfoliating and using a loofah on it etc. And make sure your diet is solid and includes the necessary ingredients fro…

I find this post quite interesting as i have had similar experiences. Not quite the same but here is what happened to me. I was morbidly obese and lost weight rather quickly on a heavy deficit. Took me 8-9 months but I lost about 115lbs I am still overweight. But I decided to leave losing the rest till next summer and…

Sorry your experience of life doesn't cover everybody. I can guarantee that I sleep better with some food than without. All I do if I am too hungry is literally sit up ALL night in bed thinking about how much I want to eat something. That to me does not seem like quality sleep.
