I had a ten pound baby 17 months ago, my muscles split but was told that they have closed up. however I am left with a wrinkley mess of a stomach.. I really want to try something to fix it. I cant afford a tummy tuck and am planning on having another baby anyway so its pointless atm.. any tips? kjdtrmikursg.jpg

Nothing besides surgery removes loose skin. But some of your "skin" is body fat.. which is good news, because you reduce that. Full-body strength training will help, and of course a calorie deficit.

Patience.....it will tighten up in time. Keep working hard. Add me!

You're only 23 so chances are good you will tighten as you go. Add weights to your exercise regimen asap, as this will help as well, by filling the looseness and creates a tighter look.
  • I agree with adding weights to try and help. I have loose skin from having three children but I believe mine is mostly do to the fact that I was overweight until I was 18 and the fact I gained weight like crazy while pregnant. I was 255, 220, and 200 lbs at delivery from first born to last. Even when I lost all the weight and got down to 127 I still had extra skin. It has shrunk quite a bit but it was still there. You just couldn't tell under clothes.

Skin tightening takes time. There is no getting around that. And sometimes it simply can't tighten completely. But what you do can have and impact. Make sure to keep the skin clean and look after it exfoliating and using a loofah on it etc. And make sure your diet is solid and includes the necessary ingredients fro collagen. Nothing you can do however will guarantee results. However an overly restrictive diet and lack of skin care will almost certainly exassipate the problem.

You appear to still have a good amount of fat under there. Strength training plus slow weight loss will get you to where you're trying to be.

This is just me but I would have my second baby first before I tried to get my body back in shape just because I would be disappointed to work so hard to get where I wanted to be then get pregnant and have to start over. But on the other hand toning up might keep you from gaining as much baby weight so that could make the weight loss quicker after the next baby.........so I'm not really much help but just some things to consider!
