  • My breakfast is usually around 17 grams of fat. Two hard boiled eggs topped with 2T avocado, 1 T half-n-half in my coffee (+ 1T fat free) and some fruit. Sometimes I have an extra tablespoon of the avocado, depending on how I cut it that morning.
  • I second this. Never open the menu once you get there. Too many temptations.
  • I did this too. It worked for me. I was in the same boat as you. I had lost 35 or so, gained back 10 over the winter and got myself back on track. You can do it too!
  • I would recommend finding carbs that work for you, if possible. I am carb-sensitive. I can eat all vegetables, fruit (except bananas) and whole wheat tortillas without a problem. Bread or pasta, even whole wheat, and rice, both brown and white, makes me hungry within 2 hours, so I always leave enough calories in my daily…
  • Mine does the same. Steady, steady, steady, up 2 pounds, steady, steady, steady, down 4 pounds, steady, steady, steady, up 2 pounds, steady, steady, steady, down 4 pounds. When the little gains (or even the steadiness for a week or two) get to me, I look at my weight loss report and just laugh at the humps in the graph. It…
  • That IS awesome! I love those little differences. Changing the way we look is nice, but changing our ability to do things is such an amazing feeling. :)
  • I hear you. I've lost 56 lbs and dropped from a 4x pants /5x shirt size to a 1x pants/2x shirt size and only one person noticed - one of my sisters-in-law.. She is so sweet. I wanted to squishy hug her right there in the middle of our JDRF walk. My mother hasn't even noticed yet!
  • Hi there. I have a pretty high stress job too, and used to do the same thing. I kicked the habit by measuring out 1/4 cup servings of unsalted almonds in snack bags on Sunday night. I take them to work on Monday and keep them in my desk. I actually pack 6 little bags each week, just in case I forget to bring some the…
  • I've been there. There were evenings when I felt like I was starving and meat/cheese/bread were the only things that would fill me up. I knew in the back of my head that I was eating for emotional reasons, but I kept pushing it farther in the back of my head and ignoring it. It was almost like I could become another person…
  • I second the doodling! It has helped me a lot. It keeps your brain busy. I've got 2 big packs of sharpies and a sketchpad by my chair at home at all times, and colored pens at work with little scraps of paper. Hippy
  • Congratulations on your wedding! I removed all the snacks from my office and leave my money at home. I walk on my lunch which helps. I also doodle a lot instead of eating. Check out "zentangles" and "zendoodles" on Pinterest (or google them). Anyone can do it. There are Youtube videos too. Now, when I have a few free…
