Wrenegade64 reminds me of Lucian Msamati, who played JLB in The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency. :)

A fairy cake from the batch I made 3 hours ago when I was bored.

You look fantastic, a hearty well done!

Palmers cocoa butter is good, it won't get rid of them but it can help their appearance a bit. They will fade naturally in time anyway, of course.

Gluten. :'( I was diagnosed with coeliac disease 2.5 years ago and had to go GF, and THEN my local shops finally started stocking double-stuffed Oreos, and a brand new Krispy Kreme opened up nearby. I die a little inside every time I pass by it.

Agree, feeling more confident in the clothing I want to wear was my big motivation when I started my weight loss, and finally fitting into the skinnies I've always loved but couldn't wear before is a wonderful spur-on. I'm now fitting into a UK size 14 skinnies and I've never felt better about myself! :)

Not strange, but most of my comments seem to be along the lines of: "Watch you're not going too far now!" "You don't want to get tooooo thin, be careful." "Noooo you don't want to get skinny!" "Mind you don't take it too far, know when to stop." "You're not losing any more, are you?" "You don't need to lose any more,…

This article is the best thing ever, I'm going to refer one or two people to it the next time they ask me for the millionth time why they aren't losing weight when I am....

That's a Primark changing room, if I'm not mistaken; I absolutely LOATHE the Primark mirrors/lighting! Just like you said, no matter how good I'm feeling about myself, one trip to them can make me feel like I've made no progress at all. I don't know why some stores have such unflattering lighting, you'd think they'd go…

An egg fried in a pan that has cooked bacon is extra delicious, especially if served with said bacon. I really want bacon now.....

I didn't learn about the basic science of CICO in primary school or high school, we got a couple of basic sex ed classes and did a big segment on oral care, with a mention of 'eat your veggies' thrown in for good measure, but that was it regarding health. I wish that I'd been taught in my teens how simple the science is,…

Advice? Don't use BS terms like 'friendzoned' to turn the blame entirely on women for you being single.

I just had an easter egg, I was starving after a busy day on very little food and didn't want to wait until dinner.

Amazing. :D

I never eat breakfast because like you, I feel sick when I eat first thing in the morning (I rarely eat before 11am.) Everyone is different, some people can't get going without a big cooked breakfast, others like me can get along perfectly fine on nothing at all, some are satisfied with a wee bite like a couple of orange…

Excellent work, you look amazing, be proud of yourself! :D

I really didn't. I'm very aware that there isn't much point wishing for something that genetically you won't ever have, you can't change your genes, and it's not very productive to wish that you could. It's a simple idea and I understand it. My point was only that it's human nature to want things that we don't have, and…

I used to use 1 tbsp of cooking oil (about 15mls) and found that there was always some left over, so I just started using half as much, 1 tsp instead (about 7-8mls) and logging that; I figured if there was a bunch left, I was clearly using more than I needed. Even if the tsp doesn't all quite get eaten, it's better to…

Me wishing I had another person's figure has zero effect on you or anyone else, so I'll go right on wistfully wishing. It's in most people's nature to compare ourselves to others who are perceived to be better, and wanting people to basically 'get over it' is about as easily done for them as trying to push a boiled egg…

It's nice to see a post about a supportive partner for a change! :)

The time of day (or night) that you eat matters not a jot. Some people seem to think that your digestive system somehow shuts down altogether at night, which isn't true. I regularly eat late at night and into the wee early hours as I have insomnia and my sleeping pattern is often a bit messed up, it hasn't affected my…

I stopped buying marshmallow fluff, I decided peanut butter sandwiches were high in calorie enough as it is, without the extra calories of essentially adding pure sugar. I do miss fluffernutters, but I can't justify such high calories for one sandwich, especially since I didn't find them a particularly filling snack.…

My mum used to cut up little pieces of cheese, cucumber and apple, and mix it all up on plates for me and my sister at lunch. I've not eaten that since I was small but I loved it. I now know that she did it because we were broke and those things were cheap, and cutting them into 'fun bites' for us meant we could both share…
