Aww, look at the little baby troll taking its first steps into the world of internet forums intending to cause mayhem and failing miserably, adorable! :#

I'd wait until you're at your goal weight to get it resized, so you'd definitely be getting it sized perfectly for the size you are. You don't want to have to have it done several times as you lose weight, it'd be costly and it might even start to affect the integrity of the ring if it's being messed with repeatedly. I…

I am totally down for this idea. :p I've had the same thing with every single one of my friends who has asked me about my weight loss, they want to know what specific diet I'm following or what shakes I use, what one amazing exercise I do, and how quickly I did it. When I explain CICO and that I took it slowly (335 days so…

I like to look at my older photos to remind myself of how well I've done and how much happier I am now, it's great motivation for me. I also like seeing other people's success stories on here, knowing that others have achieved their goals makes me happy and feel like I can keep on towards mine too.

I'm quite motivated by rewards, so I often buy a new item of clothing or a videogame as a treat for losing. :) I don't spend much as I don't have much, but a cheap little treat makes me perfectly happy.

This is me right now. I'm sitting staring at a Curly Wurly bar on my computer desk, and it's staring back. It's beginning to wear me down.

Weigh solids with a food scale and liquids with measuring cups. The portion size you make of any food is of course entirely up to you. I reckon people usually people go by a combination of how hungry they are, how calorie-dense the food is and how many calories they have available. For example, when I have pasta, I like a…

I just posted this on my profile, but figured I may as well share here too: I've just discovered one of the best feelings, being able to wear an 'over-sized' style top without looking like I'm just trying to 'hide my fat', i.e. it's a floaty top and I still have a visible waist! It's all worth it just for that, haha. I'm…

That's brilliant, be proud of yourself, great job! :D

If I ate while walking at a decent pace, I'd feel really nauseous! :s

People measuring any solid food with a cup confuses me. I see it a lot with cereal and fruit pieces especially. The gluten-free pasta I normally eat recommends a 70g dry weight portion, which looks like an awfully small portion to me, so I usually make it from 110g dry weight - it actually looks like a filling meal that…

You all look fantastic, very well done!

Welcome to mfp, best of luck, once you get in the habit of weighing and logging food regularly it will become second nature. I've lost 44lbs using this site, it's amazing.

I used to love Harbio gummy sweets, like the 'friendship rings' etc., yet now I find they all taste the same and the taste only lasts a moment anyway. Doesn't matter what colour one you choose, they all have the same (lack of) taste, and they feel slimy in the mouth. Don't know what I ever saw in them! I go for Maoam chewy…

I've always been a comfort eater (I ate all my feelings during my frequent periods of depression) and in recent years I also fell into the habit of boredom snacking. For 3 years I put away soooo much regular Coca Cola every day, and I paired it with huge bars of chocolate. I paid no attention to calories, I just ate and…

I don't eat or drink in the bathroom, 'cause it's where people poop and I'm anal about things like that (pardon the pun.) I'm not bothered where other people choose to snack though, it doesn't affect me.

I ate most of mine back throughout most of my weight loss but then I hit a 3-week plateau and stopped eating them back to see if it helped. I started losing again soon after that, so now I don't plan to eat them back anymore since I don't do much exercise anyway. When I was eating them back however, I was cutting mfp's…

I love plain crackers (the type made for cheese) with a bit of margarine spread on them, and no topping. I can eat soooo many of those!

It is a great community, for the most part at least. Glad you're finding mfp so uplifting! :D

You look amazing <3

Chicken, all day, every day. :D

Eh? Yes you can, I'm Scottish and I buy it all the time, you can get it in almost any shop that sells refrigerated foodstuffs!

I only use margarine, I don't like butter at all. There's only one brand of marg I use though (Stork, I think it's the best) because when you get a bad kind, it is truly dreadful. I tried some supermarket's own-brand super cheap stuff once, it was disgusting, it looked and smelled like plastic and somehow didn't taste as…

Lots of us say that here in Scotland, I've used that one since I was a little kid, it's a fun word. :D I also like perchance, perpendicular, egregious and precocious.

You almost look like a different person, that's amazing, a huge well done, you look great!

I confess it's 3am and I just baked digestive biscuits. I've scoffed 3 of them in the space of a minute.

I love bacon medallions so much. I hate the stringy fat you often get on bacon, it kinda freaks me out for some reason, so medallions are just the perfect form of bacon for me. I have a few of them with a sausage and a hard boiled egg for dinner sometimes, it's lush. This thread is making me want bacon really badly.

Well done on an awesome loss so far! You have every reason to feel good. It actually baffles me that anyone would dare say something like that to a woman when they don't absolutely know for sure that she pregnant, and even then, a stranger's due date has sod all to do with them anyway. It's like how people think they have…
