  • He waited... My DH says he knew I was 'the one' the moment he saw me- even though I was dating someone else and definitely not interested. He stubbornly held onto that and chose not to date other girls (for nearly a year) despite the fact that I had moved in with and became engaged to that other guy. He says he wasn't even…
  • On toast, in yogurt, in oatmeal, or on apples/bananas. YUM! I love pb!!!
  • Keep your chin up! I lose weight (on the scale at least) for one week out of the month. Seriously. I go up when I'm ovulating, up when TOM is coming, Up when TOM is here, despite working out and eating right. Then there is that golden week where I see a loss. It's very frustrating, but easier to understand now that I know…
  • This past week I saw a new low of 146.6! Super excited about that! My goals for the week are to work on week 5 of C25K. :)
  • The program is 30 minutes, but it goes up in the next couple of weeks. It's walk/run that starts off slowly and has you running for longer amounts of time each week. Week 4 is 16 minutes of running combined.
  • 33 years with 34 breathing down my neck! Mom to 4, in the middle of C25K and TurboFire lover! Always love to have more friends, so anyone feel free to add. :)
  • I have only been doing the three running workouts. I have found that my body does need to recover after a workout because I have never ran before this. Plus, I am still getting over a stress fracture in my foot, so I don't want to push it. :) Before C25K, I was doing TurboFire, and once I finish C25K, I'll probably switch…
  • Not a secret- but I have been running 3 times a week for a month, and I have lost an entire inch off each thigh and off my hips. These are VERY stubborn areas for me, so I might be hooked. ;)
  • Yesterday I did Week 4 Day 2 of C25K, which has 16 minutes total of running. I didn't have to stop! :) Today is going to be busy, so not planning on anything.
  • My weight is still up from my last weigh in- 149.6. I took new measurements this morning though, and I am losing inches in my legs and hips. Bust: 36 Waist 27.5 Hips: 39.5 Today is Week 4, Day 1 of C25K for me. :)

  • If you're 'normal' weight- 300 more after the first trimester. :) Exercise you can do whatever you were doing as long as you feel up to it and unless your doctor advised you otherwise. (I've had 4 children ;) )Congratulations!! H&H 9!!!
  • I'd love to join in! I'm hoping to lose another 10-15, though it's coming off slowly. I am doing couch to 5K 3 times a week, and will likely add back some TurboFire on the off days. Please feel free to add me! Always looking to offer and receive support! :)
  • Great job! I start week 4 tomorrow, and am loving it. :)
  • -Whey protein powder (Twinlab 1 scoop is 130 calories, 25 grams P) -low sodium cottage cheese (low fat 1/2 cup= 90 calories, 13 grams P) -greek yogurt (6oz plain Chobani = 100 cal, 18 grams P) I also like the Special K protein plus cereal (3/4 cup = 100 cal, 10grams P), and I make my own protein bars. :)
  • Hi there and welcome :) Crunchy mom of 4 here, so your title caught my eye! I also enjoy taking care of myself and our family. I make all our bread from scratch and I used to train horses! Funny. :) I'm a SAHM, who also works from home full time, but I do get paid for it. ;) This is a great site to be a part of, feel free…
  • It happens to me too whenever I start a more intensive exercise program. I have read that it is water being retained for glycogen conversion in your muscles. It will go down and then some if you stick with it and are patient. Check this out http://www.sparkpeople.com/community/ask_the_experts.asp?q=68
  • 1. Do you eat back your calories I eat most of them back, leaving a little bit of wiggle room to account for bad food measuring. :) 2. Are you losing weight consistently. Yes- Eating them back has been key for me, and I broke through an over 2 year plateau once my body got over the extra food. Before MFP- I would eat…

  • Dangerous? Whoops! LOL! I have thought about taking up running, maybe I'll look into C25K. :) Thanks Haley!
  • 4 kids, 2 super-sized pregnancies, and droopy baby pooch skin down there. It has flattened some as a lose and tone, but it will always be there in some form unless I have surgery. *shrug* I just wear more supportive undergarments for now...
  • Absolutely love this. :flowerforyou:
  • Another Turbo Fire fan here! You're going to love it!
  • It has really helped me to eat at least 5 times a day. My 'mini-meals' are usually around 200-300 calories, and always include something with a decent amount of protein. It's been a radical change (recovering non breakfast eater and carboholic here), and it's still hard not to have those big meals (and I'm NOT perfect-…
  • I think it really depends so much on your body shape, frame size, and the amount of muscle you are carrying. Someone who is lithe and willowy will look fine at the lower weights, but if you're an athlete with more lean muscle, that lower weight wouldn't look quite right. I'm 5'5", and before having kids I hovered around…
  • I try to get to bed in the 11pm hour, usually read until 12 or later, and wake up around 7:30AM. My issue is with QUALITY sleep. I am woken up many times by kids or animals, and have a hard time falling back to sleep... so I don't know how much quality sleep I get. I know the nights when I sleep solid, I feel so much…
  • I have always been a cardio girl, so in the past I would do cardio 6-7 days a week for at least 30-45 minutes. BUT...I think I was over-doing it and not giving my body enough variety. When I am able to start back with a good program, I am planning on cardio 3-4 times a week, strength training at least 2 days a week, and…
  • Looks like I missed the popular thread. Re-posting there. :)
