  • I will try these, thanks.
  • Wow. Im pretty insulted by your posts. I was asking for help and your comments were not helpful nor were they warranted. I have a small frame so my weight is right in line with that. I’m not fishing for compliments. This is an issue that really bothers me and I don’t appreciate you belittling me for it. Having kids has not…
  • I broke a metatarsal at the toe joint in Feb and spent about 6 weeks in the boot and exercised exclusively in the boot for about 3 months. I did recumbent stationary bike for cardio most days. I duct taped the boot to the pedal. I was able to lift in the boot, but limited exercises. More as time went on but never any…
  • Can anyone direct me where to start with pilates? How often and how long should I be doing the exercises and are there any that I should avoid with having the diastasis?
  • No I do not. I've actually recently had an ultrasound and all looked normal/well.
  • Thank you! I'm going to try that.
  • No I haven't tried Pilates. Thank you for this. Going to a gym or class will not happen as I have 4 kids and hubby works very long hours, but I do have a home gym. I'll look for something I can do at home.
  • Thank you, this is helpful to know. I've been wondering for years what the heck this was.
  • It's for sure worse at night compared to the morning, but I don't have a flat belly in the morning either, much closer, but not flat. I have never had any doming or bulging, my core is fairly strong...I've run a few TVA/diastasis programs and continue to do so to keep it strong. The programs I've done considers diastasis…
  • I do have a diastasis if 2cm at belly button and 1.5cm below. It used to be 3.5cm but I’ve been doing exercises to reduce it. I’m 2 years postpartum from last baby so I think this is as good as it gets as far as closing the gap anymore. I have pretty good “tightness” of whatever the tissue is called below the belly button.…
  • I loved the quest cold brew! I add coffee syrup to it and blend with ice to make a frappe.
  • Can the yoga be done at home? I workout at home. I have run 2 PT programs for my diastasis. It started at 3.5 finger width and loose connective tissue. I've gotten it to 2 finger width with decent tension in connective tissue. I think this is as good as it gets for me. I'll look into the hypertrophy program. Thank you.…
  • Thank you! I will work on gaining some muscle mass and get the Bowtie.
  • Oh, I thought it was fat. I can grab a bit on my stomach. Not a huge amount. I am doing some PT exercises to try to correct my posture, not worked so far. I do have a small diastasis recti, 2 finger width from belly button down. Do you think adding muscle mass will help to correct my posture?
  • That would be awesome! Do you think I would look better adding weight and recomping at a higher weight without having to cut?
  • I did it, just the lower body program. Happy with the results. Perked up the backside.
  • The protein powder you used is really thick. I have to add twice as much liquid to it compared to other protein powders and it's still thick. Great to fill you up, but you may want to try a different powder in your oatmeal. I've added others to my oatmeal before after cooking and did not have a problem.
  • I think this was on the thread I started asking how long recomp would take to lose the skinny fat. I'm 5'3" 115lbs and they told me to cut too. Even after I said I had gotten down to 107lbs before and looked gross. Ribs sticking out with a belly is not the look I'm going for. After the advice I really thought about…
  • Thank you! Gives me hope it can be done.
  • I do have diastasis but have closed it to within normal range. I've gotten very lucky after three babies, no stretch marks and a little loose skin if I bend over. My guess is I'd have more noticeable loose skin if I were leaner, the fat fills it up. My belly looked like this before I had kids though so I don't think having…
  • I am very low muscle mass with probably 10lbs of fat left to lose. What would you recommend to do first?
  • As a teenager I weighed in at 115-117. I was the same size I am now but back then I looked lean, flat belly, etc. I have no issue with losing more weight except that I do not look healthy when I get there. I just want the body back or close that I used to have. Maybe that's unrealistic to have the same body you had at 19…
  • I had my third baby 9 months ago. Lifted during and prior to having him, but just started up again about 2 months ago. I am doing Strong Curves. I lost a lot of muscle mass during my second pregnancy due to being on bed rest and then in my 20's I dieted all wrong by under eating and being a cardio bunny. Wish I would have…
  • Yikes. That's a long time. I'm in this for the long haul, but my that's daunting. Would you say bulk/cut could take 1/2 that time?
  • Ok thanks for the feedback. I'll have to think on it some more. Maybe I will need to just suck it up cause I am not a patient person. I don't think I will be able to stand no progress.
  • I agree this is the quickest way. I was just wondering how long a recomp would take vs bulk/cut cause I just am so tired of the cutting part. Would like to just eat and lift and live my life without being hungry all the time having to do the cut part.
  • I ate plenty of protein when I got down to 107. I ate 1g per lb body weight and I was lifting. Didn't make a difference for me.
