  • Yes x3. Busted out the Xbox Kinnect for the first time in years for the wall breaker game - gosh it can build up a sweat! Competitive me notes I did not however get anywhere near my previous high scores - something to work back to
  • Belatedly, yes x3
  • Today my exercise was just lots of walking, bushwalk and by the river. I don't normally think of that as "counting" as exercise, but at 20k steps I'll take it. Logged all my food, and feeling good.
  • Belatedly, checking in yes x3
  • 3x yes. I walked the puppies this morning, but was kinda feeling ambivalent if I wanted to count that, so I stuck in a gentle stretch/yoga class after work, which felt so good. Must make more time for that on days when I'm doing other exercise too.

  • I am calculating bf% using callipers, and also tape measure circumference methods, which are all giving me 27-28%. I'd like to have a DEXA scan, but it's not currently in the budget - soon hopefully. I had one a few years ago which was 36%. I definitely agree re measurements for progress - I sat at the same weight for…

  • July 18th was a nope. Started well at the gym, but after a hellish afternoon there was wine... and cheese. That's my third pass day. I can still do this.
  • Not my finest day, but it was slotted in to be a pass day from the beginning, and so it was. We are spending a weekend in the Hunter Valley winery region, for an annual family catchup. Wine tastings, fancy cheese & desserts - there was no way I was keeping to my calories today. But I logged it all nonetheless, albeit not…
  • You gotta look after you, whatever that looks like at any given time. Your friends will all be here for you on the flipside.
  • I thought today would be a pass day for sure, but I managed in the end. Late last night while packing for a weekend away I had a bad collapse and caught the corner of the coffee table on the way down. Pretty nasty concussion, so today didn't start until midday. Comfort food, but managed to stay in my calories, just. And…
  • Another day in the bank. The scales are not doing what I want them to just yet, but I think I'm starting to feel the benefits of the increase to daily exercise. My resting hr is down to 82, which with my condition is pretty darn good. Mid June it was 92. Calories logged, and counted, and deadlift day completed.
  • Blergh.. Today was a rough day symptom wise. But, nonetheless: - went to bench press class - ate within my calories - logged everything. Now, please, heart rate to below 120 so I can sleep...

  • For me breakfast is the smallest meal of the day, and might be 50-250 calories. Enough to not have an empty stomach for medications, but not a lot more. Dinner is my major meal, though lunch varies from very light to being just a slightly smaller version of last night's dinner.
  • I guestimate in my head, and if I think that the calories in that tasting "session" - ie cooking dinner, baking, whatever it is that I'm doing - is going to be 50+, then I log it, or adjust my logging of the finished product to include it.
  • So, green tea isn't something traditionally sweetened! I brew and drink a lot of green tea, both hot and iced, and I never sweeten it! If you like the taste of the diet green tea, why don't you try making your own without any sweeteners? The trick to avoiding bitterness with green tea is to use hot, but not boiling water -…

I actually made a conscious effort to eat some of my extra carb calories at the end of the day so I don't start tomorrow hungry. But yes. Did I keep track of everything I ate and…
