  • Whoops, posting again by mistake.
  • I'm training for the 3-Day in Seattle. So glad for the temperate weather. Can't imagine what it would be like to walk these long miles in hot sticky weather. I'm a two-time survivor, over 60 and walking, walking, walking. Hope the knees and feet hold out. Trying to lose 1 pound a week on the way to the big walk. This week…
  • Rob, your courage and your determination are inspiring. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I am a breast cancer survivor, times 2. My first cancer was 16 years ago, the second 8 years ago. I'm so grateful to be alive and able to live a full life, and support from friends and family were invaluable in the…

Those inimitable NW sunbreaks are just right to get in a mile or so. Fortunately I can arrange my work around taking a couple of those breaks each day. To keep on my…

  • The amount of money is a challenge. It would be too bad to get all the way up to the event and not be able to walk because I haven't raised the money. But if I keep on training, I figure I will have benefited a lot by the effort.
  • Sounds like you're really going well. Congratulations! I'm still getting up to speed on the walking. Now doing 12-14 miles a week. By the fall have to be able to do 20 miles a day 3 days running. Hoping my feet, knees and hips cooperate. Where did you get that great ticker? I'd love to have one like that. Great motivator.
  • You're right, this endless season of rain doesn't help much. Whenever I can I make use of sun breaks. Apparently we're just about to have 3 days of sun. Whee!
  • Congratulations on your success so far. Thanks for the encouragement.:flowerforyou:
