That's really cute. Did you do it because you felt bad or because she means something to you and you really want to work things out?
-
Did you actually oversleep or is that the excuse you gave because you aren't ready to meet her parents? Also, who decides to take that kind of step when you almost broke up and are still "working things out"?
-
She means that whatever you did or said really upset her and she doesn't want to argue about it but she does want you to hold her. Usually she doesn't totally understand why she's upset or she knows she's kind of in the wrong but can't control the fact that she's still mad/upset.

I am also 5'3 and I stared at 223 in August. Today I am at 192! LOADS of exercise...sometimes up to 12 hours a week at the gym. Lots of protein and trying to limit processed carbs as much as possible. I would like to be 140, where my am officially no longer overweight, and go from there.

It sounds like she has become fairly insecure :frown: I'm sure the fact that she gained while you lost only made it worse for her.

No, you're right. It's definitely not that much of a problem for us to be shorter. If anything, it gives us more options!
-
My thoughts exactly... short girl problems!
-
This made me laugh! I tend to go for the "tall strong teddy bear type guy" too. I usually like to call them a "Big Hunk of Man." Maybe it's just me, but I like muscular thick guys.

I'm intrigued....

I am only 5'2 3/4" so he would have to pretty short as well. As long as he wasn't significantly shorter than me. More than an inch or two--I don't think I'd feel comfortable. However, if he was just as short as I was and I was just a little bit taller than him with heels on, I would be perfectly fine with that. We can be…

It helps that you're cute! lol

I can relate. I have found myself going for more athletic/fit guys or guys a little on the bigger side but very active. I find a guy who really respects his body to be an attractive quality and I realize that if I want a life with someone like that I have to be willing to live that same kind of lifestyle. I don't think I…

He's a keeper! I thought this was really cute

It depends on gender as well and how the person is carrying it. Some people can technically be overweight but carry it quite well and look average. Some people can technically be obese and only look overweight. Personally, I get frustrated because I am still considered obese yet I am always told I just look overweight.

I love this!

Not directly, but there were some answers that came close

I've been thinking that a lot lately, we NEED a "like" button!!
-
Are you going to eyeball it or get a scale out?
-
I don't think you should enter a relationship with the intent to change someone. It just won't work unless they want to change.
-
I can completely relate!

I would say "overweight" would apply to someone above average weight but not obese. Overweight people can still be active and relatively healthy. And if they are on MFP or using other programs, then health and fitness are a priority for them. I think as a society we like to put people in boxes. In this case, either…

I don't necessarily find it unattractive, but I am certainly more attracted to other body types. Personally, I like guys that are really well built, strong/muscular and that maybe have a little bit of chub--like thick guys lol.
-
I've heard this from multiple guys and I always feel really conflicted. I'm a bigger girl but I live a very active lifestyle..
-
Does he have a brother?! Haha I feel like guys like that are so hard to find, especially in college!

Mine got bigger/ I was wearing the wrong bra. I was a 38D/40D, depending on the brand of bra I'd try on before I lost weight. After I lost about 20+ lbs I went into Victoria's Secret and got a bra fitting. I found out I was actually a 38DDD. I will say that since I am an apple shape and most of my weight is in my stomach…

I completely relate. I don't use terms like curvy or thick to describe myself because most girls who do are severely overweight. However, guys have called me curvy/thick and I have found that most men do not relate that term to fat in the least bit. I also hate the "real women have" comments. Real women have vaginas.…

There isn't anything deviant about sexual fetishes, but being with someone or just talking to someone because they fulfill your sexual fetish is degrading. Especially if you use a term that refers to a sexual fetish when first meeting them. Automatically, I am not just a beautiful woman you are interested in but you just…
-
The middle of those two terms is not a fun place to be. I hate being in the middle. When you're thin, I feel like you can look around and see that "ok, that girl's body kind of looks like mine" or "yeah we wear similar sizes" and when you're on the other end of the spectrum you can walk into a room and feel as though you…

I'm really curious to see things from a guy's point of view, what you think of the terms curvy and thick. Most men I have talked to or dated don't relate being curvy or thick to being overweight. I won't call myself thick or curvy, but many men have used them to describe my body type. Most girls, however, use the labels…
