Thanks for the info...I have paid for too many races lately and not been able to run them due to illness, injury, etc. I think at this point I will keep training and then a week or so before, decide whether I feel ready for the full or whether I will drop down to the half. We are making it into a week-long family vacation…

I am impressed that you did the marathon with your longest run being 15 miles! My training has gotten derailed lately with hamstring pull, and then combo of bad bronchitis/chest infection and a trial...still hoping to do SD marathon in June but worried about ability since I lost three weeks of training. How did your…

Sadly, reading thru all of these (most of which I share as a pet peeve) has made me realize that I truly am OCD... Some additions: -irritatingly slow drivers in the fast lane -people who constantly talk about themselves -when people give you unsolicited advice or approval...drives me CRAZY!!! (especially when it comes from…

AMAZING!!! I am feeling inspired to set a mileage goal for myself for 2012....Might get me motivated to really start hitting those early a.m. runs again. Thanks for being such a great role model for all of the rest of us runners

I can't go a day without showering without feeling gross. I know I shouldn't wash my hair everyday but I can't stand not to. Frequently I will have 2, even 3 showers a day depending on my workout schedule. I refuse to go to work without showering. Sadly I have a coworker who, if she does shower does a poor job of it or…

Hi all, I'm Teresa (or Tree to my peeps  )...I grew up in a family with zero interest in physical activity and was one of those bookworm types. Once I got to college I fell in love with rowing/crew and would totally still be doing that if I didn't have a busy job with a commute and two (awesome) kids who have a…

If I keep at it long enough, my advancing age and diminishing time may catch up to each other and eventually get me a BQ  I turn 40 next year so it will take a few years LOL!

Oh! Mine did too...loved those. Sometimes the stacked tires were the Death Star and I asked my mom to put my hair up in buns so I could be Princess Leia

LOVE this one...we have it on DVD and pull it out to watch from time to time. Also like The Secret of Roan Inish (good wholesome family type movie with great Irish culture mixed in :-)
