Take it easy, really check how you are walking, placing your feet, and maybe slow down your pace a bit if it feels as if you are hyper extending....if the pain gets worse some voltaren (anti-inflammatory) might help a bit... Another thing is to make sure you walk with a good pair of shows with proper support - personally I…

Yes - yes - yes......eating a Paleo lifestyle does not mean we only eat meat......talking for myself I eat truckloads of vegetables, salads, fruit - and yes - healthy portions of protein..... 90% of what I eat does not come from containers with labels - it comes straight from the farm (or as close as possible) my…

I am a week from turning 52 - I have lost 125lbs so far - and had a knee replacement done during this time, so it is possible! Right from day one I refused to use my age - or physical limitations as excuses - you need to get your head in the right space - and have a "I can do this" mindset - every day!!…

Don't weigh every day if it freaks you out - it is perfectly normal for the scale to jump up and down from day to day - what is important is that over a week - or a month it goes down.... Here is a blog I wrote some time ago that clearly shows what happens over a full month....…

Oh please think very careful about the Dukan diet - one of my pals on here used to do it - and landed up in hospital - not once, but twice!! She is no longer on MFP otherwise I would have suggested you talk to her... Personally I really question whether it is worth our health to go to such drastic measures. In the end of…

As someone that just had a knee replacement done I have obviously learnt a few things about knees, doctors and physiotherapists over the past year.... Personally I would go and see a good sports physiotherapist rather than a doctor (GP) - PT's specialise in this type of stuff, and if they think you need to see a GP (or an…
