Love your story Deb - you really just keep bringing it day by day - you are also a great example of being in maintenance. Give yourself a big pat on the back lady xxxx

Honestly - only seen one intolerant and ignorant person post on this thread......wonder who it is???
-
Awesome job - you are looking fantastic - and yah for healthy!!
-
Don't stress the protein numbers on here - they are very low, and you can up them quite a bit. I am not at my computer at the moment - if someone else does not chime in with how you can change your macros I will come back later and give you more information.... As an example you will see I eat over 150g of protein a day -…
-
Where did I learn this - by experimenting and fine tuning my diet over the past 950 days to a point where I know what works for me - a 52 year old woman - and you know what - it is eating over 2000 calories a day!! And for truly eating nutritious food :you be the judge - please tell me what is wrong with my diary.....…

This shows what happens on the scale day by day..... http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/Elleinnz/view/weighing-daily-don-t-believe-the-scale-135325

All I can say is Hot Mamma - look at you in all your awesomeness. And as one of your pals I know just how hard you are working day in day out for this awesome hot body!!

Here you go - 26 down to 14

Hard to tell without seeing wht you are eating, but instead of "diet" food - e.g low fat everything add some healthy fats back into your diet. Salmon Nuts Nut butters, Olives Olive oil Coconut everything - coconut milk, cream, actual coconut You could potentially also up your carbs - yams, lentils, quinoa etc are all…

Your body also expends effort replacing that blood - so you can actually claim some exercise calories as well.....
-
Over a 7 day period I net - close - or slightly under 1800 calories per day......so still under my 1990 BMR. I try to keep things reasonably stable when I introduce other changes - in this case extra vitamin D, and a supplement called DIN.... In a couple of weeks I will try and push my net up a bit closer to BMR,.... For…

Used to, but lately I have mostly been making a green smoothie, with some protein and then having nuts later in the day ..... Might go back to it in a couple of weeks. Worked well for me - I was definitely well satiated, and could easily go through to lunch on 100 grams of protein and about 15 almonds

The cable pulley system in the book is much better than that " modern" machine at your gym - the movent on that machine is very rigid, so I would not personally use it if I have the option to use a cable-row station..... And yes - you are interpreting the exercise in the book right.... Some gyms actually have a seated row…

No - think of it this way - were you hanging up laundry or cleaning while you were stacking on the weight - if you were it did not stop you from getting fat - so how on earth are those same activities now helping you drop the weight?
-
I notice you have very little weigh to lose. The unfortunate reality is that a lot of people will not actually notice - they are just not as tuned into your body as you are. I lost close on 30 kg's (70lbs) before people started commenting that I looked different. Think about it this way - the type of results people with…

Found this really good article - lots to think about ;-) http://www.precisionnutrition.com/all-about-carb-cycling
-
It is very frustrating......you need to resize your pictures in tiny pic - unfortunately don't know tiny pic so can't tell you how :-( Awesome job by the way :-)
-
Personally I have not really looked into carb cycling, as with Paleo I tend to eat reasonably " low carb" . I still eat between 100 and 120 g of carbs most days - but they come from vegetables and fruit. If you look at NET carbs I am around 70 - 80 most days I suppose I do a tiny bit of carb cycling on the days when I have…
-
OP - a word of warning - if someone has only been on here for a week or two, and have not actually lost all that much I would be very weary of their advice - especially when the tell you that it is OK to eat 1000 calories! Now if it was me I would use the roadmap - calculate my numbers - use those numbers - and then give…
-
Awesome job - you look great
-
Have you calculated your numbers using the roadmap? If you have not I suggest you do it. Yes - I do think you should eat more..... I am a 52 year old woman 5'9 - 220lbs, and I eat between 2100 and 2400 most days depending on exercise.... If I do no exercise in a day I drop down to 1800 It has taken a while for my scale to…

Thank you - in the first year I went from a size 26 to size 14 (7 sizes), but since then - past 19 months I am still in 14's - trying to get to 12's ;-)
-
Yep - in your previous pst you say your BMR is 1360 - you should not be netting lower than your BMR, so you are not eating enough.....happens all the time. If you search the 1200 threads you will see the same thing over and over. People eat too little and the do not les any weight. Do your calculations using the roadmap…

Unfortunately I did not make a copy of the list, so don't have the "official" names of tests.. Pretty much the standard cholesterol, insulin and glucose tests. Then the key minerals - magnesium, iron, zinc, calcium, sodium and chloride. Stool samples for issues with gut bacteria, and parasites. The hormones: oestrogen ,…

Yes !! I will check it out - not allowed to run, but can walk at least 5km, and most probably the 10km :-) So any of my Auckland MFP pals - come walk with me - or even better - run with Jodi ;-)

Photos fixed!!

Man I hate photobucket!! Thank goodness for flickr :-)
-
Awesome job :-)
-
In your previous post you said " no starch" - that is pretty easy ........ No carb - pretty impossible ( and unhealthy) I would say..... I eat no starch, but still get around 100 g of carbs through milk, vegetables, and very limited fruit..... If it is no starch, just replace the starches with vegetables - especially green…
