Yep - but all those factors you mention will not over report the calories you burn.... (Been eating back weight lifting calories using my HRM readings - 110 lbs lost says it is reasonably accurate!!) OP - In a kick *kitten* 60 min weight session with a bit of cardio type KB swings I burn around 500 calories..... I eat back…

Awesome job - and yes - I am sure you are very happy and proud you started this amazing change one year ago ;-)

I had a DEXA bone density scan done a few months ago, and the TOTAL weight of all my bones in my body was less than 5kg's (10lbs) I am 5'9' and have always used the "big boned" excuse..... Frankly that shows that being "big boned" cant have a huge impact on your overall weight.... ps. I will check the actual numbers…

I just cut them up - fry them in some garlic butter, sprinkle some thyme over - and a pinch of salt..... Great with steak, chicken - or on its own

Love the post - you are such a rock star my friend - I am so lucky to have you on my wall posting your kick butt workouts, and positive messages..... Here is sharing the next little bit with you - yah!!

awesome job - looking great girl :-)

I started at 320 ish lbs - ate 1700 calories a day, burned about 500 calories 3 times a week, and still lost just over 2lbs a week - each week for 52 weeks.....

I can promise you one thing - if you dont eat back your exercise calories your weight-loss will slow down - it might be in a few weeks, a few months, but the day is coming where your body will say "you are not feeding me enough, so I am hanging on to the fat I have" - by that time your body has already started eating away…

Here is a link to a great article by Lyle McDonald on the diet break - I wish I had found it much earlier in my quest to a smaller me :-) http://www.bodyrecomposition.com/fat-loss/the-full-diet-break.html

I suggest you wait till you are at 160 and then you and hubby have this discussion.... If you need to - you might not be totally happy, and might want to go a bit lower (or look gorgeous and decide to stay there ) and same for hubby - he might look at you with different eyes when you have dropped 40lbs .... I would not…

I weigh my meat fish etc raw - unless it clearly says roasted, cooked etc....

Oh I do love these posts - and the gorgeous strong woman that emerge on the flip side!! You look great - fantastic job girl!!

He was obviously sent to bring you a message :-) Good luck to you - yes - you can do this - and it will change your life forever.... There will be hard days, but just remember to get back on that treadmil, or lift those weights and put in the hard yards and your reward will be super sweet :-)

I recon you are just a tad rude attacking Dan for trying to help ......and your argument does not quite stack up... Dan's numbers includes your exercise calories MFP numbers as calculated does not include exercise calories - and they very clearly calculate your daily net by adding your exercise - so in fact you will find…

You know my story - had mine done at 51 - and will do it again in a flash - other one is not that far away from having to be done..... Your OS sounds very conservative - I do not believe the 5 years story - and as I have said before - if you think about the impact and don't overstress the knee my OS says at least 15 to 20…

Sorry - I just have to chime in here - any newbies reading this - this is WRONG on so many levels..... There is no reason whatsoever to stop eating at 6:30 - I have lost over a 100lbs - mostly eating between 8:30 and 9 pm at night....and many others on here will tell you the same.....many people are shift workers and eat…

100lbs lost says that it is OK to eat a big meal later at night , go to bed, and still shed the fat.....I hardly ever get home from the gym before 8pm, then still have to cook, so dinner time for me is around 8:45pm.....and lots of times bed by 10pm....

There is a new HRM that has just come on the market - and it claims to be the first continual HRM WITHOUT the chest strap.... It is quite a bit more expensive than the Polars - but oh boy - not needing the strap will be a huge step forward, so I am actually seriously considering buying one....It is called the Mio Alpha…

mmmm - congratulations on the weight loss - great job, but it seems as if a bit more than the elliptical helped you do this???? I suspect eating a calorie deficit, plus some other training as per your own post.....including STRENGTH TRAINING??? Mon: 1836 KCals by Cardio Exercises (30 mins on Elliptical Trainer-16th level,…

A calorie is a calorie is a calorie.......clean eating might be a "healthier" option for many reasons - but in the end of the day you will still pick up weight if you eat too much...
-
Just about every single day - full fat yoghurt, berries, mango's, strawberries are my late night snack....or a few squares of Green & Black / Lindt 70% dark chocolate When I first started Weight Watchers chocolate mousse, or jello and some low fat ice cream......because I choose to eat real food now I dont eat these any…

We had that discussion here at work last week when the guys commented on my salad. I cut up the brocolli stems and cook them with the "flowers".... I keep the really big woody bits of the stalks to put through the blender for my smoothies I also use the whole carrot (with green bits, and skin in my smoothies) I eat the…

I agree - there should be bacon on there!! Where is the bacon???
-
Yep - sweet dreams - as others said 500 should put you at maintenance.... So not a total train smash..... More importantly - when you wake up think about what happened, and what you can do next time when you face the same situation.... Plan ahead, and know how to manage and minimize the cravings - it makes it so much…

Yep - same for me - c2k - 9 weeks - but it still took me about 40 mins - was working up to 30mins when I busted my knee.... So no more running for me :-(

^^^^ Totally agree - BIG No - no -no to Crocs - they are the shoes of the devil when it comes to foot issues!!

Had this last year - very painfull - got some good quality arch support inserts for my shoes - huge relief to the point where I have not had issues since... they cost about $38 - but well worth the money!!
