  • I personally enjoy it. I meet with a trainer 2 days a week. I've done so since I joined my gym in December 2014. I've had 4 different trainers (there's a little bit of an excessive turnover) but each one has taught me a new approach or gave me new ideas. One was a bit more of a crossfit style, one was more focused on heavy…
  • I did when I tried a 1200 calorie diet and not eating back exercise calories. I'd be fine until right around dinner time and my head would just pound and I realized it was too few calories and I lasted about a week at that. Now I've switched to 1400-1500 and eating back exercise calories which isn't a huge difference, but…
  • Yep! Agree with both. It makes a big difference. My legs, arms and back are sore from my Monday workout. I went and got on an elliptical yesterday. Today I noticed my legs aren't as sore, but my back and arms that I didn't really work, are.
  • Love ON - especially the coffee flavor. I put it in coffee and use some ice if I drink it in the morning. Amazing.
  • I had the same issues for about a year after mine was taken out. I went to a GI doc, he put me on a cholesterol medicine to help bind the excess bile and it's solved the problem for the most part. He said it's a common issue.
  • Inches lost is the best guide, I think. Especially if you're working out on top of dieting. You may be adding muscle and losing fat, so the scale might not change like you want. My weight has only gone down about 16 lbs, but I've lost quite a few inches, so I'm still happy!
  • I like the lean cuisine salad additions. I love salad, but I'm too lazy to cut every thing up and measure it all out to take it to work the next day - so the salad additions are perfect for me. I also don't mind the lean cuisine pizzas. I try only to eat one frozen meal a day and then try to drink a lot of water because of…
  • You guys rock! Thanks for the motivation!
  • That's interesting! Both sound like a fun way to stay motivated. Thank you!
  • I do Body Step, Body Flow, Body Pump. I've done Body Jam but I feel like I look stupid the whole time so I don't do it as often. I haven't tried Body Vive. Those are the ones my gym offers. I looooooove these classes. They are awesome, motivating, and so fun. I use my HRM for calorie counting.
  • I will admit I've done it - and I've also been one of those.. "oh well, I've already messed up today - might as well not worry about the rest of the day" but I am trying not to - and people on here who are tough love "stop making excuses" are great gifts to me because it pushes me to stop being a baby about it. So I thank…
  • Agreed!! The trainers in my group training tell us to make sure we know the difference between being sore (which is good) to being in pain (not so good). Once you get that figured out - I think if you're sore - additional exercise is a fantastic way to get past it. I always feel much better/looser/less sore after.
  • You guys are terrible. LOL. I weigh in officially every Wednesday morning. Other times I'll weigh myself in the afternoon before I work out just to see how much I fluxuate in a day because it entertains me. I like the morning number better, usually.
  • I say, probably not. You and I are close in weight/height and I changed my intake to ~1500 on days I don't work out and on days I do work out - I eat all the calories I burned back. I feel a lot better. I was doing 1200 and it wasn't hard to stay at that level food wise, but I felt like crap and I wasn't losing anything. I…
  • This.. is.. awesome.

  • Get a good HRM. I loooove mine and from what I can tell - it's much more accurate!
  • yum! Never would have thought of this.
  • I've used it a bit. When I started using it, I wasn't doing much at the gym and I was S-O-R-E. Now I don't get as sore but you still get a dang good workout. As long as you can keep yourself motivated and stop holding back, that is. A lot of the exercises are the same ones I do with my actual personal trainer. It's worth…
  • I'm on 1230 and I eat back what I work off at the gym. It's not nearly as hard as I thought it would be!
  • Luna Bars are my favorite. The Caramel Nut Brownie and the Chocolate Raspberry. I eat one of them every day for breakfast - Today I didn't have one so I had some special K pastry crisps that I had - and I can tell a huge difference in how Luna bars keep me feeling full all morning. Now I have to be sure to buy some more…
  • Good luck! I'd say get their salad with grilled chicken and low fat ranch... except it's like the size of 10 salads... I have to avoid TX roadhouse - cuz I can eat my entire day's worth of calories just in their rolls and cinnamon butter ;-)
