  • Oh yeah! Totally meant to ask about this too!
  • Alright! It's time to start procrastinating this week's work... bleh. Lacey, for some reason penney's website won't load the main pictures but from squinting at the thumbnails, they look cute! Also, I'm intrigued by the maurice jeans, but there's not a store near me. Well, there's one 26 miles away. Maybe I'll make the…
  • Heyooo, quick weigh-in post. No change from last week. Bleh. 223. That's actually not bad considering I had Cici's Pizza (must have been a Cici's kinda day) yesterday and IHOP for breakfast. Will post more later, sorry for being so absentee this weekend! PS... Eatingwell's Chilaquiles Casserole is amazing, and I added…
  • So after my day of eating horribly, I got on the scale and it had gone down by .4 pounds. Whatever. Need to stop getting on scale. And seriously, who roofied my fiber one cereal this morning? I was falling asleep on the drive to work, it's only 10am, and I think I'm going to fall asleep on my keyboard any second. Lacey -…
  • I'm seriously so jealous that y'all are going to Bruges! It's straight out of fairytale gorgeous. I tried to find the little pub we went to when i went there. It's basement level and looks all medieval... I think it's this one: http://www.curiosa-brugge.com/English/geschiedenis.php but now it appears to be more of a…
  • Lacey, do eet! On a cheat day, obvi. My friend doesn't do the mustard though. I don't know about Kervel soup, but seriously, hit up Neuhaus chocolates in Belgium. Jeezum crow, it's the best. Also, never do the Brussels waffle. It's all about the Liege waffle. I once had one with nutella, bananas, and vanilla ice cream.…
  • lol, sorry Amy! I know it sounds like an odd concept, but it's tasty. I will say, when I lived in the Netherlands, the native diet was similar to that of the Germans, and I hated it. Pea soup called SNERT. Hello... it even sounds gross.
  • Welcome LadyG and Kwick! Be sure to let us know your first names! Blugh, today is a bad eating day. Had some folks come in for a meeting, then my boss suggested I take the group out for lunch. So... Chuy's it is. Belly full of Mexican food. Also, going to visit friends later tonight and they're making "rouladen" which is a…
  • Okay, I'll keep the examining trend going... 1. So in terms of real weight, I'd like to see 215. - Given that I've set this goal again, I clearly failed. 2. Need to get back on working out. 3-4 days a week. - Didn't happen. Not even a little. In fact, I didn't work out for a solid month with business trips and surgery 3. A…
  • Okay, so... starting weight is 223. Goals... hmm. 1. Drink more water - I have a bad habit of stretching one 16 oz Ozarka bottle to last all day at the office. 2. Get back to working out at least 4 days a week - I think I'll focus on cardio for now. We'll see. 3. The poundage goal, which I have yet to hit - 8lbs. The…
  • And welcome, Hosanna! You've picked a great group! Best ladies on MFP ever!
  • Yay, new topic! Are any of you ladies having trouble logging exercise today? Treadmill... no results found. Walking.... no results found. Wafuh? NM... it's working again. MFP has been all sorts of buggy today.
  • I recently bought the Eatsmart Precision Plus scale off of Amazon. It goes up to 440 pounds, looks pretty slick, and it gives me consistent weight when I do what you mentioned. It also seems to run very close to the doctor's office. I love it.
  • Checking in a little late, sorry! Weight is back up at 222.2. Given than I had a saline drip in my arm for two days and haven't been eating very healthily (lots of mushy pasta) since surgery, I'll take it. It'll still be a bit before I can start exercise again too. Pain is a lot less, but I still feel tired most of the…
  • Hi ladies! I'm alive and well post surgery, back home and trying to relax. In lots of pain, but I know that'll get better. Not going to write much as I'm on my phone (my brand new laptop seems to have decided not to work anymore) but I wanted to let y'all know I'm ok. More later!
  • Hi ladies!!! Quick one. Got back from Engrrland yesterday, got on the scale. Actually lost weight on a business trip. Unheard of. 221 on the nose. I know it's from all the walking I did there. Sorry I don't have time to catch up yet. Surgery tomorrow morning, so I'll be out for a while, I think. Hope everyone's doing well…
  • Megan, your story sounds so much like mine, it's crazy! At my highest I was 267, worked it down to 193, but then started my first "real" job and stopped dieting and exercising and before I knew it (well, after 4 years), back up to 245 again. I'm currently at 220ish as well. Welcome to the crew! Went to Jamie Oliver's…
  • hi Ladies! So quickly while I remember from looking at this thread very fast: Ashley, 40B is a similar problem. Luckily the sister size is a 38C which VS does carry and is usually fairly doable! Lacey, if you go to Bruges, I'll be SO jealous. I went there in 2004 and it was seriously one of the prettiest places I've ever…
  • Hi all! There's no way I can catch up at the moment. Made it to England, the private car got us lost a couple times on the way from Heathrow to my hotel in Oxford, but I still got to the hotel WAY too early to check in (9am for 3pm check in) so I stowed my bags away and was sent out to explore. 5 hours later of walking…
  • Heyo, folks! Amy, that sucks about your foot. I hope the docs get it figured out and you can be up and insane again. I hate jumping through insurance hoops too. We used to have an awesome insurance plan at work that was $25 for all docs appointments and $100 flat for any surgeries, the downside was that you had to…
  • Okay, I took a few notes on a post-it to reply to this thread. HA! Welcome to the even newer newbies! I'm going to have a crazy hard time keeping up. Katie - I saw something about water shoes, but I can't remember the context. Anyway, I got a pair of those Vibram five fingers, you know... the toe shoes? They're CRAZY…
  • This is cracking me up. My BF is a drummer and a bassist (and guitar, but he's not as good on that than the other two. Shhh, don't tell him I said that.) and he is CONSTANTLY tapping on stuff. And air drums. Air drums always. But hot damn, if he isn't the sexiest thing on the planet behind a set of drums.
  • Lacey, omg the third book. Not giving anything away, but it is by far the best in the series. I'm currently plodding through the 4th book and I feel like I've been halfway done with it for a month. It is SLOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. Here's hoping the new one is much more like the 3rd book. I'm also reading the Girl Who Played…
  • Amy, a year to a year and a half. I think it might be prolonged use of latex gloves in my mouth that is the culprit? Or the adhesive they use. This usually happens every time I get major dental work done. Not sure what the cause is, but it's certainly irritating... both literally and figuratively. I too am not the biggest…
  • Ah ha, interesting. Someone's added Black Eyed Pea's nutritional info here. Dunno how accurate it is, but that's helpful!
  • Amy, do you wear a brace at all? Sorry if you mentioned that before. As for me calling the eating well on business trips a silly goal, I guess I just feel like it's a difficult one to stick to. But I'm going to try! Kendal, I bet that interview wasn't nearly as bad as you feel it was. Katie, I've just never liked raisins.…
  • Oh, and good job on the last challenge, ladies!
  • Yay! Found the new topic. Starting weight will be ending weight from the last challenge! Welcome to Lauren and Ashley! This will be a very challenging six weeks for me, so I'm not certain what goals I should put in place! In the next six weeks, one week I'll be in the UK, one week I'll be recouping from surgery, and two…
  • Victoria, I seriously can't see the men ratings going up that high. Do men even really watch the show? My BF watches it only when I'm at his place on Tuesdays. I've been a blood donor since college, but haven't worked myself up to signing the organ donor card yet. I can't imagine I won't eventually sign it... just have to…
  • Annette, I'm totally with you on the eating like crap thing. For me its a "I was good all week, now it's the weekend WOOHOO!" mentality and I totally need to get over it. The only tip I can give is that if you really want something bad, a great option is to share with someone. BF and I will sometimes get a crazy craving…
