That scarf is just all sorts of awesome! My Mum was at school (English Grammar School) when the fourth doctor was going and they used to sew 2 school scarves together to make them really long Dr Who style .

Good luck hun. If you get a chance one weekend go to the Huddersfield one. It is massive and a very good crowd of supporters too
-
Did the Huddersfield one when I was visiting my bro and we have one in Tilgate (Crawley) and in Horsham (where I live). I've been out with injury but are doing a couple of 5k runs before I return to do a park run again.

Hey Hun, You really are having a bad time and I really hope it gets better soon. I'm also 5ft7 and lose and gain and lose and gain. It does sound like you're not eating enough....fruit, salad, meat, get whatever you can inside you whilst you are at work. Also, if you can afford it being self-employed, it sounds like you…

5ft 8 and 1200 calories a day? You're potentially eating too little as well (MFP does estimate a bit low). Don't freak out at the scales. Cycle is probably a really good reason, I find that I might gain a week before sometimes. Just keep going and see what happens next week.

Potatoes and parsnip low carb????

Hey Hun, I'm about 86kg and am looking to get to 69kg or under but I don't have a baby, just a problem overeating. Whilst breastfeeding you will be burning up to an additional 500 calories so bear that in mind. http://www.shape.com/lifestyle/mind-and-body/perks-and-health-benefits-breastfeeding Also be aware that MFP does…

I have some slimming world cookbooks which are great for recipe ideas and low cal. I always change the processes slightly to tailor to our tastes but there are some great ones in there. If you have any ideas just send me a pm and I can look some up for you?

Lifting will do wonders for your core strength and you will lose inches (where it counts) :o)

Trying changing one aspect of your style. Be brave and grab a pair of skinny jeans or jeggings but keep it comfortable with a looser yet flattering top. As I guess you guys are autumn time, I've always found jumper dresses nice for the cooler months. Can wear a pear of tight jeans or jeggings/leggings with them easily. You…

30DS gave me good results but to be honest, if you've only recently started you probably won't see them until about day 20 onwards.

Not convinced by those breakfast biscuits for lunch. How much sugar do they have in them?
-
Sorry, I don't lift as I can't afford a gym membership at the moment and also have foot injuries to content with.
-
Hi Paul, Where are you emigrating from?
-
Hiya, I think it can be done but putting more pressure on yourself to lose the weight by a certain time can cause you to fail just due to the pressure and fear of failure. I lost 2 stone in 5 months last year and I did have blow out days occasionally. Just try and do what you can and try not to focus too much on trying to…

Did 30 Day Shred last year and lost inches and was really chuffed with the toning. In terms of logging I am not sure as I wasn't counting the work out as it is very difficult to measure.

Cross fingers!

I've worn shock absorber bras and I cringe when I see women working out with boobs flapping about in a normal bra. Looks painful!

I did a bit of a play on words.... Foodie - Someone massively into food. Motion - as in exercise. (food emotion - the feeling I get all too often when I get stressed/bored/upset and reach for all the food)

I agree with the cultural differences but I think there are much bigger differences between mainland Europe and the UK for example which like the US, is suffering an obesity epidemic so I don't think as many people will point stuff out. There will always be those losers out there who will poke fun and jibe because they…

Hey hun, I'm getting married June next year and yes, have quite a way to go to get into the Wedding dress sitting in my Mum's wardrobe. Feel free to add me if you so wish :o) I'm starting out again after losing a lot of weight last year and regaining in the last few months.
-
That is awesome! I hope if I ever get pregnant I can be as determined as you throughout it!
-
When I was using the gym it was different (maybe a UK or because I'm a girl thing): 1. Men watching me do squats 2. Me watching Men do squats 3. The other girl in the weights area who chats about lifting :o) 4. The teenagers spending aaaaages on one station chatting whilst they do a million reps. 5. The older boys lifting…

I'll be keeping my eyes open for them! (formerly ms_leanne)

Hi UK'ers Don't forget to join the British People! and Team UK Groups too where you will find more British Islanders.
-
Might have to try that Suz.
-
I'm sure there are Jen but perhaps they're not in this group?
-
Logging daily at the moment but only just started after losing a lot of weight last year and unfortunately regaining a load at the end of last year. Feel free to add.

I did it last year and it is amazing what it does to your middle girth. I think I only lost 1kg in that time but visually I looked very different (from the muscle gain/definition).
