@craigo3154 Thank you Sir I appreciate your support. I keep fighting the physical part by daily exercise and that's what we all do cuz it's the easier part. Fighting the mental part is a whole other game and I'm loaded for bear!

Happy 4th ! Exercise: 35 minute walk with the dog-2 miles, 30 min of yoga and 20 min of mediation and pranayama Tracked: Yes...every little thing Calories: Stayed under my goal Miles for the month: 15.5 30 day yoga challenge: 4 days Lesson Learned: I learned to be aware of ME at heavy food events of how I am relating to…

@RangerRickL and @craigo3154 This is some good stuff! I was invited to a cookout today and did NOT want to go. In the past I randomly munch, just mindlessly munch at events with food, I randomly munch when I am anxious. I don't even realize I'm doing until I feel the consequences. I have some moderate anxiety so I know…

@craigo3154 Fantastic ! Words I need to hear. I think rewards do work much better than strict removal of everything forever. Once in awhile is good enough for me. I'm done with punishing myself and defining everything around food and 'good' and 'bad'. Thank you!!

Oh and I found this challenge under the "challenges" board. It should be an official MFP challenge though.

July 3rd Exercise: 30 min of power yoga and 38 min of walking the dog Calories: Stayed under target Tracked: Everything tracked Doing reallly well so far. Honestly thinking about what I'm going to eat and what kind of exercise am I doing to generate extra calories and NOT use them all. Today I earned exercise calories but…

Awesome posts guys!! @RangerRickL and @craigo3154 I have a similar reaction to gluten. I had an endoscopy and the Dr said he saw redness but blood work was negative. However, at that point I had cut out most gluten and was not aware that you had to have been eating gluten to get an accurate test. >eye roll< So I stay away…

Eating out got me today. Dammit. I went over a couple calories (took a skip day) and learned a lot when it comes to what restaurants to go to. Privately owned places aren't so great. It's difficult trying to guess the calories and ya don't realllllly know everything in the dish (could be hidden high calorie items). So I…

July 2nd Taking a 'skip day'. I went over a few calories due to eating out. :(. DRAT !! It wasn't a great menu for healthy items. I picked the least calorie item. Exercise: 160 min total walking briskly. 7 miles total and 30 minutes of yoga Calorie budget: :( Tracked everything: Yes Miles: 12 30 day yoga challenge: 2 days!

Day one a success!!!! YAY!!!! Date: July 1st Exercise: 68 min trail run for 5 miles and 30 min of yoga Tracked: yes! Calories: Yes!! Question-- Does anyone use their exercise calories or a portion? Not sure what the general feeling is about this.

@02bridget I know right?!? I guess I need to get "Menopause for Dummies" ! :D
-
@Slimpossible007 YAY for you! I know how hard it is and have battled for a long time. I'm much better than I used to be but I still need some work. Going to do a Whole30 starting July 1st (no sugar, grains, etc).
-
THANK YOU so much for that! I have no idea what's going on and don't know where to turn! I appreciate your words!!

I'm 48 and I think I'm going through menopause? I kinda don't even know what that means. No period for 8 months. Lately it seems the waist line is growing with out a reason. This sucks...

First time challenger here and I'm excited but terrified at the same time! I'm at 1220 calories daily and that freaks me out. I've used MFP off and on for 7 years. After looking at my weight stats from the past 5-6 years I'm in the exact same weight place (give or take 5 pounds). UGH! I'm 48 and live in Ohio, mother of a…

I thought I was the only one that GAINS after running long!!!! I wish I knew why this happens too!

REST!!!!!!

I have tried it....gu and gartorade upset my stomach too. They have too much sugar and it gave me GI issues. I now use GU Brew for hydration and Hammergel which has much less sugar. Made a WORLD of difference!!!
-
Never done this before but I'm in! My goal is running 125 miles for Feb ! Dawn
-
Take it easy this week nothing too crazy.. If you trained with Gu then use the Gu. Be sure to load up carbs a couple days before then light meals the say before. I would have a nice 400 calorie breakfast that morning (oatmeal and a banana). HAVE FUN!!!!
-
Done!
-
100 each side??
-
LOVE running in the cold..I prefer it over the heat. What I find weird are those people running on a sidewalk at noon in JULY!! I'd pass out!
-
Eating a calorie deficit DOES NOT work for everyone!! Been doing that for years and I haven't lost a pound
-
I have the same problem but during the say and after dinner!!! Am I not eating enough of something>?
-
Watched it this morning! Just what I needed for Day 4!!
-
I second that motion!!! BAHHH AHAHAHHAHAA

I'm having a hard time understanding why you would be commenting on this topic at all ? If you don't agree with Paleo then okay..but the OP I think is asking for legitimate pros and cons not continuous insults or arguing for the sake of arguing. Just a question.
-
I absolutely love good conversation...however some arguing for the sake of doing it is kinda weird. The paleo lifestyle is just absolutely brilliant..EAT CLEAN NOT CRAP! How anyone would think that's not a good idea is beyond me. I may have said this before and I will suggest it again. Watch "Forks Over Knives" and you…
