On the weekends I cook up 6 cups (Cooked) steel cut oats, season and have one cup for breakfast. I add an extra cup of water to the rest and then pour them in to a muffin tin( 6 to a tin) to freeze. Once frozen I pop them out of the tin, put them in a zip lock bag and take them with me to work Monday morning. The frozen…

Beer! Calorie deficits from running allow for some great treats. Having some goal runs planned helps. I have a hilly half marathon in August that keeps me heading out the door to train. Also when I do run I try to not do laps. Out and back runs are great because once you are at the half way point you have to run that…

Awesome job! Good luck with your fertility treatment! My wife and I went through IVF 17 years ago and my daughters are 16 now.

Wow, guess I should have checked the post date on a few of these. I sent some requests a year late!

5 mile run before work.

Not into the meal replacement shakes, but I do like to pair up an inexpensive protein shake with something like a bowl of steel cut oats in the morning. between the protein and the oats, I feel pretty full until early afternoon.

Doing my first HM in August. It got some hills, so am gonna try to incorporate some travel to hills or treadmill incline sessions as part of the plan. I found a 20 Week plan that looked pretty good. Not sure where I found it.

Great tool as a trending device. I could care less if the calories or steps are accurate. If I use the same device every day I can see if I have done less, equal or more than previous days weeks, etc. There is value in that.

I have to try this!

I use the FR220 and a Vivofit. If you find a good price on an original Vivofit, they play together nicely. Garmin Connect gives precedence to the watch, so if you track a run on your watch and are also wearing the band, it will use the calories from the watch for that time period, and your step calories for the rest of the…

There is a reason Sundays are long run days and football days! Major calorie burn in the morning, and a feast in the afternoon! I don't stress the calories on those days, but am conscious of the fat and sodium i consume on those days.

The dog tags are a good idea. I wear a tag with 2 ICE numbers, my name, date of birth, allergies and blood type.

Lots of good suggestions here. I carry a compact 9mm in a belly band. I also carry a good quality tactical flashlight. I have stopped both man and beast in their tracks with a beam of light in the dark.

Just get old and you will be waking at 3-4 AM anyway! I like to get out and run before there is traffic, so 4 works for me. I just bought a fitness band and it is pretty fun to have my step goal done before 8 on run days. I work in an office environment and I can stay sharp, just need to get up and stretch once in awhile.

I have a Vivofit and a Forerunner 220, Both sync'd fine today. (EDIT) Oops! Syncing to the Garmin Connect apps and website, but not to MFP

World class grin right there! Congrats!

Sounds like fun! Doing a MudFactor 5k in next weekend, so obstacles but not the undead. The zombie part sounds like a good time!

CVS brand Protein shake, and a 1 1/2 cups of steel cut oats with ground flax seed.

I have the CM9, and have shot the LC9 a lot. Both are great choices. I carry the CM9 in a Remora no clip holster. it stays put with drawstring and waistband tensions pretty nicely.
