  • Hey Ladies! There is hope for us, I'm 47 and am in the best shape of my life AND I had a baby at 45! I also was no slouch in HS either, I ran track and swam so I was thin and in shape (or so I thought). I credit Beachbody workouts to my success. Diana
  • I have the same issue and my son is almost three! I have lost almost 25lbs and have been doing Insanity and Hip Hop Abs since Febuary. The Insanity (three rounds) helped lose the weight and tightened up my abs. I'm finishing up Hip Hop abs and both have made a huge difference, it's almost gone. As soon as I finish this…
  • I agree, a HRM is the only way to go to be accurate. The problem with MFP database and the site you provided is they only go off your weight and time excercised. What they don't take into account is your fitness level.
  • How are you measuring your heart rate? You really aren't going to find a simple calculation or app for it, I don't think. If you do let me know because I have looked...LOL I use a HRM and it calculates the calories burned according to my heart rate. Everyone is different so you can't really do a simple math equation to get…
  • What an awesome job! Congratulations on your weight loss, keep up the good work. Diana
  • Depends if you want more calories. I use slender soy no sugar added, optimum nutrition milk chocolate whey protein, ground flax, 1/2 banana and berries. You can make it anyway you want, depends on what your goals are. Diana
  • You know what?! It's going to sound crazy I know but I eat 600-700 calories for Breakfast *gasp* BECAUSE I know it's what I need for me to continue through out the day. do what's right for you and forget the rest! diana
  • I lost weight while also building muscle, it can be done you just have the right kind of diet. I eat all of my exercise calories back and I have a fairly clean diet with lean meats, fruits, veggies and nuts, no processed foods! While losing weight my diet consisted of 40% protein, 40% carbs and 20% fat. For the last 5lbs I…
  • I'm lucky enough to live here in Oregon (originally from Texas) so they are available everywhere! However, I do find them at my local grocery store in the bulk section. Do you have something like that where you shop? I would check there first. Diana
  • Good job on your weight loss! I don't see why you couldn't do a hybrid of both even though you have completed a full program of each. You will have to learn the moves and get used to them but you would have to do that even if you were only doing one. If I were you I would use your Turbo Fire for cardio workouts so replace…
  • For me it is. I eat between 400-500 calories high in protien at Breakfast. Once I started doing this I started to lose weight more quickly. I'm not starving by snack time nor through the rest of they day. I feel for me it keeps my metabolism going and I feel good and have the energy I need to get through the day. I also do…
  • What a wonderful gift you have given your Grandchildren, YOU!
  • I I just finished my second Warrior Dash a couple of weeks ago and a friend of mine asked me to write a review. I have posted the link below, you may find it helpful but I think the one you are going to do is much harder but it will give you an idea. I recommend tight clothing, something that you will be able to run it…
  • Your welcome! I don't drink it on a daily basis, only use it for a cleanse and I love it. Each person is different though so do your research and do what's right for you. Diana
  • Here is a list of the supplement facts and ingredients: http://myshakeology.com/uploads/fckeditor/mdbody/File/downloads/ShakeologyCocoa.pdf Diana
  • First of all let me tell you I LOVE your disclaimer!! LOL... I am am a member of Beachbody and have been since 2004, not a coach nor do I want to be one either. I just believe in their products. I used the Shakeology cleanse to break through a plateau. It worked and I lost 5lbs. I agree it's expensive but if you have to…
  • Hello! I have done three rounds of Insanity and have lost 22lbs. I went from 35 inch waist to 28. I used Insanity to lose the remaining weight I had from having my son. It is a hard workout program but you should be fairly fit from Turbo Fire. The thing I recommend is to not give up. When I first started I couldn't even…
  • LOVE IT!! I have a library of Beachbody workouts and this one is by far my favorite. I love Shaun T and he keeps me motivated. It's going to be hard in the beginning and you will think to yourself, "what did I get myself into"?! If you get it don't give up, just do what you can and you will get stronger evertime you do it!…
  • I have read about the diet and have seen other people on it and what they ate. From my understanding of Turbo Fire (I know most of the Beachbody workouts well). You are not going to be eating enough calories. Your going to have to add to the diet if you want to be able to complete a TF workout. Why don't you follow the…
  • Gotta love Shaun T! Fantastic transformation, good job on your hard work! You look fantastic! Diana
  • I just finished my second Warrior Dash on Sunday and wrote a review for a friend of mine. You can read my blog here; http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/dcgonz/view/so-you-want-to-be-a-warrior-147907 It will give you an idea on how I trained and what the course and obstacles were like. Diana
  • I'm sorry but I laughed so hard at that! I so know how you feel. When I first started I thought there is no way I'm going to finish 60 days of this craziness when I can't even get through the warm-up! Good job, keep it up. You will love your results. I just finished my third round and I still struggle through some moves…
  • I have done the Shakeology cleanse and highly recommend it. I needed to get through a plateau and it helped with that. The thing I like about Shakeology is you actually get to eat. You have three shakes a day and fruit for breakfast & 1 snacks. For dinner you have a salad with either chicken or fish. I was not hungry at…
  • Really?! Like we don't know what we are doing? Most men don't care, they are into their workout and if they are looking it's to check you out or they are impressed by the fact that you are lifting weights. I wouldn't sweat it.
  • Excellent post!
  • I have done both workouts. With P90X I did three rounds and lost both inches and weight. I lost around 12 lbs. I then got pregant and to get back into shape I started back with Insanity and have lost 22lbs. I am by far in better shape with Insanity than I ever was with P90X. Once you get through P90X I recommend trying…
  • If it's sold on Amazon it should be legit. I know you know the danger so I'm not going to say anything about that. But I will say, fat burners are a waste of money. The industry plays on the human urge to find something to make it easier to lose weight and there is no magic pill that's going to make it easier but they got…
  • You are changing your body composition and losing fat while building muscle. This is the best article I have found on the subject. It gives a visual of what 5lbs of fat looks like compared to 5lbs of muscle. Once you see this, then you start to understand how your body is changing but maybe the scale is not moving.…
  • I think it depends on your body composition and the brand of clothes. I'm 5'7", 127, BMI 20, Body Fat %17. I can run anywhere from a size 4-8, just depends on where I shop. Diana
  • I'm 5'6", 48 and I am currently at 127.5, my goal is 125. I had my son at age 45 so anything is possible, age should not be a factor. If you set your mind to it you can reach your goals! Diana
