  • Im 4 months (today) and I can eat 4-5 oz and Im 4'2
  • Youre on a roll OP....no pun intended  !
  • WTG Amy! I had my surgery 4 months ago today
  • Good luck  We'll all be here waiting to hear from you!
  • Surgeon here provided us w/ guidelines and expectations on how many cals, protein and sugar (liquid or powder) should have (no more than) whether we chose to purchase these at the clinic or elsewhere. Ive noticed that some things people are posting as drinking may have more cals or sugars than what I was allowed. This is…
  • Look up chair exercises and whatever you cant/aren't able to do, customize it to fit your needs. For example, if youre viewing someone jogging or running in place, instead do air biking...just be creative and stay moving throughout the video!
  • I know this is late in posting but what about eating 1/2 the burger and instead of ordering fries, ask to swap it out for a side salad or fruit. That way you can feel good about having eaten healthier than you would've in the past!
  • Youre 18 what...?
  • Look up chair exercises...if theres something the instructor is doing that youre not able to, just modify it to meet your needs! Someone once suggested to me to get the Wii fitness (of course it would require me to have the Wii  ) because our local pool is at the HS and its only open for like 1 1/2 months in the…
  • Its your on preference on eating back your cals! Some people say eat 1/2 while others say, if your hungry to dip into your "bank" or exercise cals...do what works for you because we're all made up different! What 1 chooses to do is not a complete reflection on what someone else chooses to do
  • I was sleeved 10/16 and haven't been given any "goals" for weigh ins. Ckmeyers, do you ever feel anxiety when they give you a # to meet?
  • You can look up Chair Exercises and then for the 1's that youre not able to do, you can just modify them! The exercises are not done at top speed so you don't have to worry about trying to keep up.
  • Would something like Alka-Seltzer help? Just wondering since you mentioned drinking the baking soda water
  • Where are you getting your Turkey patties from?!? Mine come in at 240 cals and 31 protein
  • I understand her and bikrchk It would be nice to not always have to be running to the site to get my cals logged in before the stroke of midnight. I mean come on, Im not Cinderella! Wouldn't it be freeing if we didn't have to jump online for every morsel but to just knowingly be thoughtful of our food choices? I don't…
  • Could you smell it yourself?!?
  • So it has more or less to do w/ how youre drinking it (decaf or regular) as to how you can count is as your liquid/water
  • Missie, you beat me to it....I had the vanilla and chocolate Pure Protein but vanilla was mild in flavor. My husband would say I gravitated to the chocolate more often than not!
  • Ive known people who ate and then said "I didn't even care for it." So it was pretty much wasted cals and less for someone else to have  You enjoyed it and you go on, tomorrow is always a new day to start fresh!
  • Never heard of this flavor, next time Im out Im gonna go look for it!
  • Growing up we'd have tuna w/ relish or we'd cut up a pickle into it, add mustard, mayo and cut up celery. Now, I don't have the patience for all that so its usually everything minus the chopped stuff  Tuna melts....YUM!! Id never had it made this way before but I was helping a friend w/ her yard sale and she…
  • LOL...I was thinking of this from the Tuna Helper spectrum
  • I always though MFP didn't go any lower than 1200, this is new to me!
  • Sammers, I wish youd read my thread that I posted after my surgery (mid Oct). Although I didn't have the gas or "shoulder" pains, I was vomiting sick and in pain. For me to say that means something because Ive endured several surgeries in my life so like my husband explained to them "she has a high tolerance, so if she's…
  • I love how they hype up the audience by having the "winner" run through a pic of their old self. I think the show that "we" can relate to for WLS should have something like that :agree:
  • When I did a search this is something that I read: Dry mouth. This occurs when the flow of saliva decreases and can be caused by various medications, salivary gland problems or continuously breathing through the mouth. Without enough saliva, food particles are not cleaned away. If you suffer from dry mouth, your dentist…
  • I get what OP is saying, we learned that to get our pants on we had to put 1 leg in at a time. Isnt all this pre-op and then months following post-op suppose to be teaching us so that we can lead a detached life of not having to count or check in? Isnt that the freedom we're looking for?? The every day choices that we make…
  • I could start having health bars after 3 months so I got a few single 1's before surgery. I ended up donating them because at 3 months I was able to have most anything and Id much rather have the real nuts (cashews, pecans, boiled peanuts etc) than a few crushed into a health bar. Its like instead of picking out what you…
  • 400....wow :anguished:
  • This was me before surgery. If Id get close to or get past a certain time Id feel very nauseous. Sometimes Id have dry heaves because there was nothing in there to come out, those were times when I was past the point of no return. If I could catch it before that came over me then it was just a sickly feeling that food…
