There are several possibilities. The first is that you are eating far more than you think you are. This is likely if you aren't weighing, measuring and accurately logging everything you eat. Second is that you have put your body into starvation mode by eating far less than you're burning. If you're only eating 1350…

Not to be an *kitten*...but perhaps being logged into MFP isn't the best choice to make while at work with a boss you think hates you lol. I'm at work, but my work is unique in that all I can do is sit here and wait for more work to come to me, and my boss doesn't hate me.

Unless this person is a registered dietician, with full knowledge of you and your situation, I wouldn't follow this advice. If you can't lose at 1500 calories and MFP is saying you should, then you need to double check all your weighing and measuring, ensure your exercise is being logged accurately and if all that fails,…

Shock your system a bit. Eat 2500 for 3-5 days, then go back to 1800 and see what happens. I'm no dietician, but I have definitely read that a shock to your system can help you get back on track.

Do you weigh and measure everything you eat? Estimating serving sizes is a major way people make mistakes on their intake. Also, I highly doubt your maintenance is 1500, I'm thinking you've been under-eating and your body has been fighting back by not burning calories.

And here's the harsh words that no one else will tell you. Before you try to decide if you're being discriminated against, whether because of gender, or anything else, you should consider if perhaps your boss treats you poorly because you are simply not performing at the standards they expect. I have absolutely no…

Stop thinking about weight at this point. What you want is look, not 2-5 lbs lost. Start eating at maintenance and doing exercise for the toning you want. Since it sounds like you're already eating at maintenance, you should just keep exercising. I guarantee you that 2-5 lbs is not visible on your body except when you are…

The other option is to just dump the guy who doesn't support you in your healthy choices, and doesn't care enough about your wishes to compromise at all.
-
Not sure how to help you I guess. I try to hit my macros, but I don't really care if what I eat is processed etc. I have never been a smoker, not really an addictive personality. Salty and greasy foods are my vice, and I don't feel miserable at all after I eat them lol. I don't even feel guilty as long as they're within my…

Its a tough job market in many areas. I'd strongly suggest finding a new job that you're happy with before you give up on the old one. I know many people who've been searching for good work for years. You also have to accept that good paying jobs will require you to make sacrifices. I work in a 24/7/365 environment, and we…

Likely a chicken stir fry with lots of garlic and spices for me....and make enough for tomorrow for lunch too.

Once you make the decision that you can eat all of that stuff as long as you log it, what you'll find is that logging it makes it far less appealing. When you are accountable to the calorie counter, you can choose to exercise more and then eat the cookies, or sit on the couch and not eat the cookies. The cookies themselves…

I don't have problems really...I give in to most of my cravings, but for the most part I've found that the ones I miss are chips, and they are just too high in calories to be worth it most times. I think I've eaten one small bag since I started three months ago. I have pizza and pepsi almost every day though.

I'm not sure what type of mobile device you have, but I use an app called drivebit. I just hit start when I start driving and stop when I stop. It automatically logs driving as the activity. I only log longer drives like 20 min or longer. Driving actually takes more calories than you might think. I suspect a large number…

If MFP's automated system set you at 1200 calories, then that is fine....That sounds to me like you may very well be on a 2lb per week loss schedule, which isn't ideal when you already appear to be close to your goal. I'd suggest reducing your weekly loss goal to 1 lb, maybe even 0.5 lbs, and that will up your calories…

I don't like running at all...but I do it to earn the horrible things I want to eat lol. My fitbit feeds me for exercise. I'm one of the crazy people, I went from no running at all to 7.5k in about 2 weeks. Prior to that, I had been walking about 90 minutes every day or two for a few weeks. Instead of starting with small…

If your body hurts, then it isn't ready for more. You have to really pay attention to injuries early on, and only do as much as your body can handle. Know the difference between aches and true pain. One easy one I read somewhere was that if your first few steps in the morning hurt, then you are not ready to run that day.
-
I have a fitbit one, and I love it. It syncs perfectly to MFP. I haven't had the garmin, so can't comment on that, but when I was doing my research up front, the Fitbit One had better reviews than the garmin, which is why I chose fitbit if that helps.

Stop denying yourself the foods you want, and you won't binge. Pizza and Pepsi are my vices, so I budget calories for them almost every day. Yesterday I had two cans of pepsi and a whole thin crust pizza and I still lost 0.8 lbs this morning because I was well within my calorie goal. I know that I can never eat a diet of…

Sorry to tell you, what you lost in weight was water weight. You didn't burn 3500 calories doing yard work. I did 10 hours of hay baling, only let my fitbit count steps, didn't log any of the hay lifted etc, and that showed that I had burned 4400 calories for the day to that point. Unless you did 10 hours of yard work, you…

I used to think MFP gave me too many calories too until I did a bit of experimentation and research. I discovered that at the end of the day, MFP and fibit give me almost identical calorie goals when the fitbit exercise is taken into consideration, its just that MFP appears several hundred calories higher for most of the…

The fitbit calculates your calories burned from existing (heartbeat, breathing, etc), then adds calories for moving. MFP knows how many calories it expects you to burn during the day. Each time your fitbit updates, MFP takes the current calories burned and estimates how many you'll burn for the day at that rate and adds or…

I had a brief look at your diary. It looks to me like you're doing fine, but yesterday you were 432 calories under what MFP said you should eat. I believe their threshold for eating too little is likely around 400 calories under goal etc. remember, its an automated system and doesn't actually consider your whole lifestyle.…

I work dayshifts and nightshifts...7 to 7 12 hour shifts. I usually eat three meals on dayshifts. My nights, I usually eat lunch when I get up in the afternoon and dinner around 10 pm at work. That's my last meal before the next afternoon. Might not be the most healthy, but I've still been losing weight. I do notice that…

Well, I always give in to my cravings, however in this case yours will be difficult to satisfy since McDonalds only sells Coke, not Pepsi lol. Joking aside, fit it in to your calorie goal and you'll thank yourself.
-
Actually, 2 months is at least 60 days. You might be able to get close to your goal weight if you work hard. Just be healthy about it, and expect that you won't meet your goal, you're just trying to get as close as possible. 160lbs is entirely doable I'd say.

Those are calories you burn through movement, you will still have the calorie deficit you set on your plan. One thing I find is that my wife's flex gives her many more steps than my Fitbit one gives me, so I don't trust hers. To combat this fear, many people on here eat their calorie goal, plus 50% of their exercise…

I had plateaued for 5 weeks or so through June and early July. What got me over it was a bit of a shock to my system. First, look at your weighing and measuring of your food. Make sure what you put in your mouth is exactly what you're logging. That could be one issue. After I had that sorted, I dropped my calories to 1400…

Nothing. I eat after I run. I do drink some water before I run. It is my understanding from limited knowledge that if you eat before you run, you teach your body to burn the carbs in the food you've eaten to fuel the run, and you will struggle during longer runs without food. If you run before eating, it teaches your body…

Actually, I would venture a guess that what you're experiencing are drunk drivers, not tired ones. Drivers steer towards what they are looking at, drunk people see a runner and look at them, and their gaze gets stuck there. Their brain in its foggy state forgets to look away and therefore they steer towards you. Being…
