I'm a firm believer in positive thinking. It's not easy, and it takes willpower, but forcing myself into a positive attitude has made a huge difference in whether or not I succeed.

Bump<3 I'm at a loss as to how to organize my equipment, xD.

I literally know how you feel. I plateaued at the beginning of the summer, despite trying very hard to keep it up and it just sent me into an awful depression. What really made a difference for me was when I would start to feel upset and frustrated, instead of curling up and crying I put on my shoes and went for an epic…

If I haven't eaten in awhile, I will make myself a small protein shake with cytosport protein powder and some banana slices. Or occasionally I will instead eat a hard boiled egg and some un-sweetened apple sauce. I will wait about 30-45 minutes and then get started. It always helps boost my energy levels and works well for…

I do some exercises daily that I think are considered calisthenics. I'm not quite positive though. I do roll ups, bicycle crunches, bridge raises, bridge planks, lower ab triangles, lower ab scissors, partial squats, and the pilates 100 move. I do like those sort of exercises. I will add the book to my list of things to…

Right, okay that does make sense. xD What I've been doing for the past month and a half is using the 5lb and 6lb dumbbells and instead of buying heavier ones to progress, I've just been adding more reps. In your opinion, would I be better off buying heavier dumbbells and doing fewer reps? I do indeed have medical issues…

Bumping, because I would love to see what blogs people recommend. I too am in need of some inspiring ones to read!

tkillion810: I am a very hands on person, so doodling is right up my ally. I scrapbook, play various instruments, prefer hand writing to typing, knit, and prefer tangible things like that to keep my fidgeting to a minimum. Which makes it near impossible for me to log my food/exercise daily online. I've tried, but it never…

LolHaribo. xDD Yea, I figured a chunk of it is genetics, and the rest is fat content, but I kept finding information where people "prove" you can and it just made me very confused. Haha

h7463: Thank you! I will definitely check out those videos!!! sathyai: Luckily, one of my best friends has been an employee at Victoria's Secret for the last few years, so I've been properly measured, many times by her as my weight/body has changed. It is crazy what a difference the right size can make! =] rides4insanity:…

I am indeed doing cardio and HIIT for the general all over fat loss because I know I can't spot reduce. Unfortunatly I don't have the strength to do push ups or pull ups at all, but maybe soon enough! I will definitly check out the recommended videos and programs though! Thank you for the recommendations! mfleeg: Good to…

I have a horrible tendency to give information/advice based on very specific/uncommon personal experience, that is not particularly accurate for the person I am advising. xD I'm working on it though, haha. I've got an ankle that I've had a few surgeries on (It's got a 7" plate and 6 screws which I am hoping to have removed…

As stated above, I was basing those statements on personal experience and I realize that since that experience involves pre-existing joint conditions, the information I gave is not accurate. I will edit that bit out of my post so as not to spread misinformation. Edit: I do not seem to have the option to edit that post, but…

I have to go in for a few more knee related things, so I can definitely ask for recommendations then, but the appointment isn't for another 4 weeks, so I was hoping to find something basic to hold me over until then. Then get something specific once my doctor has more test results to base her recommendation on.

As I was reading your post, it actually started to get weird because I am 5'3, 226lbs, lead a sedentary life, and started exercising regularly 2 months ago for the first time since high school. So, twins! Let's be friends. =] But I agree with everyone who says you seem to be doing fine. Listening to your body is crazy…

My information is based solely on my own personal experience, and that of people around me, so I apologize if it's not accurate. I will have to research a bit.

Pilates is a great way to start off, also! It's something that you can do at home, without any equipment, and it can help build muscle or tone depending on what you want and what you do. Definitly a great basic daily workout though to help you start getting into shape! Check out the blog and YouTube channel "Blogilates".…

Haha, thanks. Yea, she's pretty fantastic. Keeps your energetic and motivated, and she's great at talking about irrelevant things to keep you distracted when you really start to feel the burn.

I don't know of too many YouTube fitness gurus/instructors other than Cassey Ho, but I would workout with her in a heartbeat! She's extremely enthusiastic, energetic, and it's contagious while watching her videos.

I've had a RHCP playlist playing on repeat all day.

I can't even imagine how difficult this is for you, and I'll bet it took a crazy amount of courage to open up. So rock on for letting it out. All I have to say is that it can be very easy to convince yourself that you need to do something, even if that something isn't actually good for you. Try your best to keep opening…

Currently I have it filled to the brim with a ton of stuff, divided into sections. I'm about to take photos of it so I can post those! I also keep a pencil pouch inside it with my workout headphones, pens, highlighters, other writing supplies, chapstick, a measuring tape, and a glasses cleaning cloth.

Amazing friends who take me to run errands. I don't drive so errands and such can be frustrating at times. So I'm definitely grateful for friends who save the day and help me!

I'm also not there quite yet, but am working towards it. For the last week I have taken to walking at least 3 or 4 miles a night (about an hour ish, since I speed walk on and off). I'm hoping to work my way up to being able to walk 15 miles straight with no rest, but I'm taking it slowly (bad knee and ankle on my left leg)…
