On the flip side, the 100% donut diet is apparently viable, requiring only the right supplements.

But that's not leveling out due to being used to a workout, which was the premise underlying OP's question.

It has nothing to do with hoping you fail. It has to do with all the people who have failed because they overestimate exercise and underestimate intake. If that doesn't apply to you, then it doesn't apply to you.

The epitaph of many a weight loss effort.

What are your goals?
-
Very low calorie diet. In my opinion.

Are you posting this as a mod or as a user?

MFP won't go under 1200. Advocating 800 is advocating a VLCD, Imo. It sounds like your goal is far too aggressive.
-
Yes. Weight loss stopping because you get used to workouts is false. Weight loss stops because you are no longer in a deficit.
-
Honestly, starting slow now is almost certainly the best course. The more muscle you can preserve now, the less you'll have to put back later.
-
Don't eat 52,500 extra calories. Small portions, so "no" if you need to.
-
You'll continue not to level out until you are no longer eating in a deficit. Why do you want to wait before starting to lift?
-
You need to exercise the muscles you want to maintain. Working your legs won't save your arms.

Yeah, that's why I was saying it wasn't the app, but the way they were formatting the mobile forums.

Weirder names than "spotted dick"?
-
The iPad uses the desktop version of the forums.
-
The mobile forums are that way. It's probably not about the app itself, then.
-
Splenda/sucralose is pretty good stuff.
-
I ate the heck out of it while losing and maintaining, and still do so while gaining.
-
The mobile app? With forums?

My Fitbit says I burn 11 calories a minute at my "exercising" pace, so that should be good for a couple of maple donuts per hour. I don't claim to be average, though.

The only things I can suggest are 1) talk to a doctor about it and 2) maybe get closer to goal weight (unless you're already there) before doing it, but that might be countermanded by what happens with 1).

It gets really old fast when people want to play the martyr and outright lie distort what other people write so as to enhance that martyrdom. I mean, honestly, you can't comprehend that, "I think it would be ideal if it were done for a cogent reason. Even if it's done because of a derpy Facebook infographic or a laughably…

It's not a question of opinions versus experience. It's quite possible to reach a factual conclusion about something without experiencing that something. At 50% off, this is your chance to waste half as much money as normal. They don't work.
-
I want to thank you so much for inserting a derpy Facebook meme as I mentioned on Page One as the type of non-cogent rationalizations people use as the basis of their choices. So awesome.

Speaking of poorly explained, do you yet have an explanation for how what I wrote could be characterized by you as saying that someone "needs" a good reason to cut sugar?
-
You could ask HEB if they could get some. They might not, but their customer service is generally pretty excellent. If you have an HEB, you have a better grocery store than most people in urban America.

Is there some evidence here of a medical condition which might make this true?
-
It's not abnormal.

Two pounds in nine days is a lot of progress. Your expectations may not be realistic.
