  • FINALLY!!! I broke through the 170lb. wall that I was facing!!! Lost 11 lbs. on the first cycle of the 17 DD and I couldn't be happier! Now to get out of the 160's .... the journey continues.
  • LOL!!! Love it!!!
  • I joined MFP about 3 weeks ago and the first two weeks i lost 3 lbs. each week. I started the the 17 DD 9 days ago and this week I didn't lose anything. I think maybe I am not getting enough calories because I am a very active person. B4 17DD I was eating 1300-1500 cals. and now on the diet I find it very hard to reach…
  • If you absolutely cannot stand green tea there are green tea supplements out there you could try.
  • I highly recommend listening to the audio CD, "Extreme Motivation". She explains how the program works and has a lot of other advice. Once you listen to it you will be pumped up and ready to Go!!!
  • I was able to hit 1300 calories today on day 4 of 1st Cycle. I ate a lot of protein though. It says to eat unlimited protein and so I did! Got in my calories and I think I feel a lot better about this diet now, cause the one thing i was afraid of was not getting enough calories, that is how I plateaued last time. It just…
  • I am in the same boat. I have been getting close to 1000 or a little over by eating more protein. Also by having my protein shakes that has helped as well. The first day I didn't have my shake because i prefer to mix it with milk and the plan doesn't list milk for the first 17 days. By day two I was feeling really tired…
  • my first day on the diet and I was only able to consume 888 calories and I know that is not enough! I ate a bunch of food too! It wasn't difficult or anything because i really didn't get super hungry...just normal hungry.
  • Bought my copy of The 17 Day Diet today (kindle edition from amazon) and started this morning. Once you read the book it is not a fad diet...it is just putting you through cycles towards a complete lifestyle change. It helps you re-train your body and mind to eat healthy foods and stay away from processed foods. I would…
  • a lot of things factor into a person's calorie burn. Age, height, weight are all the ones they use on MFP but a person's muscle tone also factors into it. The more lean muscle mass you have the more calories you will burn. That is why it is soooo important to strength train. I know HRM and things like the BodyBugg are the…
  • start things off by cutting out all fast food and/or anything you can get without getting out of your car. Then, move on to eliminated packaged meals...tons of sodium and not a lot of nutrients. Also you are not gonna move that scale eating cookies and ice cream. I know this may sound harsh but I am being tough because…
  • My chocolate cravings get pretty intense as well... Jell-O instant Sugar free pudding mix with skim milk is fast and east way to curb the craving. I have also have come across this amazing gum that tastes like mint chocolate chip ice cream! I believe it is EXTRA plus i think there are also a couple pie flavors as well.…
  • I haven't finished the actual program...but I have been doing TF since it came out and I am loving it!!! I have lost about 10lbs. or so but I can really tell the difference in the inches. I am much smaller!!! Love Chalene and love Turbo Fire!!!
  • I have a single serving blender...Hamilton Beach $15 at Wal-Mart. I love it ...blend and drink, kinda like a magic bullet but much cheaper!!!
  • I get the same thing about drinking so much. My husband always tells me he would hate to be stranded in the desert with me! lol I fill a 52 oz. cup at least 3 times a day.
  • Just finished FIRE 45 EZ a few minutes ago and I am drenched!!!!
  • I love TURBO FIRE!!! It is the one workout that I look forward to doing because it is that much fun! Prepare yourself to sweat A LOT!!! Make sure you have a good pair of shoes...I wear the Nike Free XT because they have an internal foot sleeve that keeps your foot from sliding around. There are also so Under Armour shoes…
  • They are total estimations...I recommend either a HRM or BodyBugg if you can afford it. I don't have either as of now ($$$) so I log my workouts and my food and take the calorie burn with a grain of salt. I figure as long as I am consuming at or under my BMR and exercising then I should be ok.
  • If you have been working hard and your muscles are sore then the gain may be due to water retention. Are muscles are 80% water and when we work them hard they retain more water to repair themselves. I have been in the same boat and gained 5+ lbs. in a matter of a day or two. I really try to watch my sodium intake and drink…
  • I absolutely love her new one "Ripped In 30"!!! I would recommend getting it after you finish 30 Day Shred.
  • My doc told me that birth control does not make you gain weight....giving in to the cravings that you may get as a result of the BC will. It makes sense...so just keep your diet in check and stay focused with your workouts! ........ and maybe eat 100 cals. less a day just to be on the safe side.
  • Thanks so much for all the encouragement!!! I will check out that post...
