SO MUCH WRONG and FALLACY here. I would correct you but dang...

Fat does not make you fat. :-) Fats are a good thing- they are absolutely necessary. They are essential because the human body cannot synthesize them. While PP is correct (though butter, ghee (which is just clarified butter and cream ARE animal fats so not sure what that little thing is about) that animal fats will not…

Strength training... hit the weights (focus on compound movements- there are programs to follow if you're interested). And do core work- planks, hanging leg raises etc.. and the flab that you're grabbing when you sit- you apparently store fat viscerally (in your abdominal area)... keep eating lean, and get some sort of…

I avoid buffets because I've completed a number of very in-depth food safety courses and.. ewww. hah. But no, I don't avoid locations or parties or restaurants where I know there will be "tempting" food. I have my goals in mind, and I make my food choices based on them. If I am trying to avoid alcohol, yes, I have to stay…

"Angel in a Centerfold" haha.. just kidding. I'd never pass for an angel.

I do try to wash my face right after because my pores are all open etc and it has improved my skin condition. :-) But no (for the fat reabsorption) hahaha. Got to love the muppet advice.

I was told that the weights I lift are "too much for a girl". I'm obviously VERY manly now.

Different sugars are treated differently physiologically after ingestion: some sugar is more readily available and hits your system more quickly, causing a rapid rise in insulin etc... unfortunately fruits often fall into this category (though the fibrous portion of fruits will slow the digestion and retard the glucose…

Your PT is going to be your best resource on this one- assuming for have a good PT- for several reasons: 1. ppl here will be hesitant to offer advice in a medically-related situation, 2. you proooobably shouldn't take medically-related advice from people here. Take your time and let yourself heal... it might take a little…

Working out is my: anti-aging, butt-lifting, anti-depressing, anti-anxiety, thigh-slimming, feel-good, look-good, life-altering medication. I take my dose daily. :-)

You left off over-eating/bingeing, Chronic weighing (defined as more than once per week by the AND) and a host of other ritualistic food behaviors and food associated behaviors that can be considered disordered eating habits. It's rampant. :-) I haven't read the sources... but I will eventually and I'm sure I'll have…

I would like to participate but sadly, the majority of the responses I would put are against forum rules. *muttering*

haaha <3 I second this sentiment!

OMG GIRL!!!! I had no idea! I'm so sorry! P.S. The only dangerous thing about my lifting is my butt in a tight dress... BAM.

Is this real life? Seriously brah... www.facebook.com/baby2bikini I squat 185.. and DL 275 x 2. Haven't broken in half just yet, but I'll let you know when I do.

I deadlift dang near 300 lbs.. and squat more than body weight.. but it's making me bulky and masculine. Clearly, by my profile pic.

Self-hatred, self-doubt, body fat. Boom.

False. A quality rare steak requires no sauce... just a small pool of pretty, natural red goodness.

The psychological ties to food patterns and consumption (coping mechanisms, anxiety response, companion/social eating) are a huge factor in weight status and disordered eating. They should be treated as such... so yes, in the interest of the simplicity that the author himself is seeking to promote, I took his words…

Great article with one exception... "Eat what makes you happy" Food cannot make you happy. Don't eat to make you happy, because you'll be eating forever, always looking for that one magical bite that will bring you "happiness". He shouldn't have crossed the scientific plain into the psychological one with that one,…

I also want Ryan Reynold's body. And David Beckham's body. Think we might be talking about different things...

Agree to disagree. The branched chain amino acid (leucine isoleucine, valine) carriers (among other amino acids) for skeletal muscle compete with once another... meaning when it all hits at once your body is not capable of uptaking it all.. and it goes to waste. Intake from natural sources hit the carriers in a stages…

If the "look" doesn't do it...try "hi". :-)

Don't feel bad... I've only had good ones in TX... and they're few and far between there!

I actively developed/worsened my ED via a website when I was in my teens- everything from mantras to tips and tricks. It was SICK. I never knew how sick until I was in the throws of it and realized I was stuck in a dangerous illness... Looking back I can see how dangerous sites like that are to developing minds...…

I don't know anything about any proposed effects etc... but I have some "monkey-picked oolong tea" from Teavana, and I don't exsctly love the flavor. It's kind of like boiled spinach water. Blegh.

I'm not a newbie.. I've lost two inches off my waist in the last two weeks and haven't lost a single ounce. I'm eating at a deficit (some might say a severe deficit) and I lift.. a LOT. At 25+% BF I have stored energy to use.. and while it is not OPTIMAL to muscle growth, you can develop muscle while at a deficit.
