Height: 5'3" Age: 26 Starting weight: 140 Current weight: 124 Goal weight: 115-120 How many calories do you eat a day? 1200-2000 Do you eat back "exercise calories"? Somewhat. I keep a close eye on my fitbit one which calculates my total burn. I try to stay in at least a 500 calorie deficit which includes the calories…

Veganism and vegans are a funny bunch. So many opinions about why we should or shouldn't be. Even within the community, there are factions. It is a group comprised of militants and pacifists like any other. As a vegan my opinion is simple: for whatever reason(s) you started and whatever reason(s) you stick with it, the end…

Yes. During the winter, an entire family of mice moved in. Our landlord recommended non lethal traps which we were on board with already. The reason being that the mice will take the poison to the nest in the walls, die, and rot in your walls. We would capture them on a pretty regular basis and release them on the other…

^^This definitely helps me. I pop a couple of Advil to dull the pain and then start with a walk. If I'm feeling up to it, i turn it into a light jog. Yoga is good, too. I always feel better after than when I start.

Having been in unhealthy and controlling relationships before, I can say with confidence that jealously and other similary traits or qualities are signs of insecurity which makes sense in the context of PTSD. On top of couples counseling, I recommend he see his own counselor if he isn't already. It wouldn't hurt for you to…

My bad story: I was a tweenage girl and wanted to go on a run. It was time for me to focus on my womanly figure since I was departing childhood. Running at an average pace, every step was labored and forced. Every stride took so much energy it seemed. At some point I began to feel this incredible feeling of pain in my…

I'm vegan and avoid empty carbs. Most fruits and veggies naturally contain carbs, but they are useful ones and not the empty ones you get from breads. One of my favorite tricks is to put my food on a bed of spinach. Nachos and stir fry are good examples of foods to put onto a salad instead of chips or noodles. Another good…

I have been doing Body Combat religiously for about 3 months; I absolutely love it. I have been doing yoga for about 2 years and Pilates for about 9 months. If you were to choose between yoga and Pilates, I recommend Pilates. Although it is a slower workout, it is more intensive core work than yoga and after about 30…

I also use two snug bras: usually one with more support such as an under wire for the first layer and a normal sports bra that's a size too small for the second layer. I have found that Athleta has some great options and usually has some decent options on sale, too. Cycling, yoga, Pilates, swimming, and the elliptical…

I've been vegan for over a year. I feel better, I'm not as gassy/bloated, my skin is glowing, I have more energy and drive, and the pounds melted away. I donate blood regularly hence am not anemic. My genetically high cholesterol is now text book low. If you do consider vegetarianism or veganism, I highly suggest not being…
