I have four -- 10, 17, 21, 22, and a grandson. I never had c-sections, but two hernia surgeries above the navel, appendix, and ovary surgeries. So the belly is a mess. I've been lifting heavy, walking, some silly 80's aerobics that kick my butt, and stopped drinking pop. I'm not tiny or even in "average" weight range yet,…

Love this post! I planned my coming out for next spring at my daughter's graduation. I have it all figured out in my head. lol I'd love for someone to say, "oh, hey... OH, HEY!" And do a double take. That's all. My husband and kids are the only ones who know, too. The body is definitely changing (I was surprised by the…

Thank you for this! I needed a remotivation. I am the same height and started nrolfw in August, got derailed here and there between losing a loved one and a root canal torture week, but I'm still going. The visual results are slower and that is hard to swallow, but like you said, you have to work for yourself and not…

Similar. I turned 40 last month and thought by now I would have it all together. No milestone has been enough to change me, except for my daughter's graduation in 2012. Then we moved and as soon as my life gets a little unstable, food is the go-to.

It's too bad we aren't a little closer. I'm just a mile east of Goddard, but it's still a trek for us to meet up and jump on trampolines or something. :) We moved here from the Boulder, Colorado area last May. It's a bit different than Colorado... but I love the open spaces and less traffic congestion.

Gwen Stefani/No Doubt have some good beats, but I'm a hard rock or alternative music girl when I'm in the zone. Puddle of Mudd, Local H, Queens of the Stone Age... all have fast songs, slower songs, long songs, to match pace to. Music sung by a strong female inspires, too. I shuffle it all up.

I like to eat a ton and then swear from here forward I'm done. I know what drug/alcohol/whatever addicts go through. Or think, "If I start now, I'll be xxx weight by the time _____ comes around! Wow, it's that easy!" I love the calculations, sabotage the work.

I hear you! My youngest is nine and I can't use the postpartum excuse anymore. I'm helping raise a 5-month-old grandson now and I do feel postpartum again. You're younger than me of course but we have a similar starting point. I'm here for you!

40 5'3" SW 178 CW 178 GW 145, will reassess at that point (but I'll be over the moon for sure) Walking, yoga, quickie videos, and hopefully some gym time. I used to use my membership much more, but haven't really felt the love there since we moved to another state. I didn't think it made a difference, but it kinda does!
