hind sight is 20/20 - I agree.... I must say I got a great deal of motivation thinking I was going to be proving it was possible.. then WHAM first post and I'm like.... "shucks... she is right technically I did gain fat"... Also I like having witty titles - it attracts good commentators!

thanks for the input :drinker: and stay scrumptious

makes sense - in my unique situation however this back tweak occured yesterday... it is worth saying, I don't have a pinched nerve or broken disk or what not... It just hurts - but I was able to run 5 miles after it occurred yesterday and was walking all over this morning visiting a client with no problems and just a…

I appreciate that input- I am going to be avoiding the Smith all together - I'm going to a Chiropractor today, and usmcmp made the point of it effecting my knees as well, and yesterday when I got off the smith my right knee felt like something was wrong...so both my knee and lower back are bothering me...I have that artic…

Also, after dating dozens of fit hispanic women I noticed many eat at 7pm - and they eat slooowly - like I'm talking a full hour/ hour and a half for dinner - this is actually healthy - and I noticed me eating at 7pm every night keeps me feeling full till bed time at 10pm.
-
I can relate - throw away that crap outta the home... if it must be in it... I'm dating a girl now who basically requires me to keep ice cream and chocolate on standby - just drink a protein shake and feel full... Or I just eat a mushroom or some raw broccoli and it fills you right up. Another idea is to eat a cucumber, it…

^very informative. thanks for taking the time to write that out. Great input.

I'm switching gyms soon and will be getting a freeeee personal trainger for 20 mins for 2x 2 weeks - I'll drill her with questions on 'goblet squats'. thanks for the solid advice! :D ^seriously impressed you figured out exactly what exercise caused it off of hardly knowing my routine.
-
the pain started pretty much the moment I got off the smith from doing squats Ms. Holmes! Seriously... uncanny insight.. :flowerforyou: Ok... fine.. you pointed out on the other thread I also risk knee pain and I also recently have been getting knee pain on my right leg after using the smith.. I guess it's time to figure…

^I paid a full year for my current gym a week prior to graduating from college because they had a one-year $100 student membership special. Once my membership is up I'm going to the gym that is basically a rocks throw from my apartment which will be convenient, and my brother whom I share an apartment w/ goes there as well…

^n!ce! I will just use this as my standard when I visit today - if he takes an x-ray or scheduled me for one then I'll give it the gold 'ole try - if not I'll have to coax a female friend tonight to massage me up. I'll give her the ole chocolate & flowers swap for her back scratching/massage utility.

I previously have used kettle-balls, however I have been staying away from free weights recently to avoid injuries because I have been going to the gym alone. Appreciate your insight. And I can do a great deal more than that baby.

^appreciate this, no joke my coworker is the son of a MD, and his mother is a nurse practitioner and he was telling me it was a big waste of time .. However...the responses on here are going every-which-way!

thanks for the shares - good articles, answered some other things I didn't even think to inquire about.

yeah^ Actually just to be straight up it is better to start off as a turtle anyway to build up your ligaments and get your muscles ready for the motion - your risking an injury if you go b@lls to the w@ll flying right outta da gate, rather move at a steady gait and slowly, incrementally increase the distance prior to the…

lol yes "fat fat" - but I was thinking it would be like inches to my waist line or something - I had started at a 28" waist and right now I am barely 29" - I am wearing 30"30"'s right now and they seem a little loose even. "law of diminishing returns"! Finally got something back out of that ECON degree :D Your point makes…

^this is the truth - trial running is such an amazing experience @LyndseyLovesT - to each their own - I will agree with you that lifting is much better than running and tons of ppl would be in much better shape if they invested an hour lifting instead of an hour walking burning 89calories chugging a 100calorie Gatorade…

lolz yeah that would be an accurate summation. Gentleman - concerning the creatine I have been drinking somewhere around 10-14 cups of water daily, historically I would be around 5-6 cups daily - so I totally will agree a ton of my weight gain has come from water, however I have upped this water intake over the course of…

Well it's not all lean? I still feel like I proved something - seriously I was being told by tons of ppl that I would even loose the six pack - when in fact it looks great!! So when I was making the point of gaining fat/fat I mean substantial fat/fat and I think in many MANY cases it is ppl gaining substantial fat- I have…

I highly suggest not running on a treadmill - running is like one of the greatest things you can do - its time totally focused on yourself. You should pick a trail you enjoy or a explore new parts of the city. I make it a meditative experience. Today I jogged 4.83 Mi - 58:10 duration 12:03 min/mi - it can be slow - just…

Woeee - In 6ish weeks I did indeed gain 10 lbs - I had been eating at a caloric deficit for a long time leading up to this while working my body fat percentage down. Constant HIIT and eating clean with supplements got me there - no need to be so harsh? I have tons of pictures over the past two months of this progression…

I guess I am very worried about getting an injury so I tend to stick to hardly any free weights if I'm lifting anything heavy. And ppl give the smith a great deal of grief but it has helped my core soo much.
-
Oh good question! It was my first time using creatine! =) First time using BCAA's as well - I'm not sure which worked better :P
-
170 lbs with a six pack ;)
-
^certainly not using steroids and I am going to screenshot a 2 month look at my weight for you to see - I guess it is not as crazy pulling back the curtain because I was at 156 and dropped back down to 149 then climbed back up. - going out three months I was at a steady 148-152 lbs. this was my first like bulk - however I…

def - and I forgot creatine concerning supplements - 1 teaspoon daily and I drank tons of water so yeah your math sounds correct.

calipers, but surprisingly the scale wasn't far off - the actually body fat percentage was reported lower than the calipers, however the variance in body fat percentage stayed consistent :) I know body fat percentage on calipers isn't all that great either, but if you see my pics it really has stayed consistent - I've been…

small world! if you bump into me please throw a high! :drinker:

I see what you mean, I did indeed technically gain 'fat'... so I guess there point was true - however they made it sound like it was fat fat- I kept the gains marginal and consistent with my body fay %. The six pack visual was what I was focused on and the fat percentage stayed consistent, so I kept the six pack - like in…
