  • Good job! Soon it'll be longer and then you'll be the fastest thing on two legs! ;)
  • Welcome and good luck! :)

  • My sister participates thru her work and the farm even delivers it to her building every week! We've gotten a lot of eggplant, which we haven't reallly had before, so it's made us start to try new things. Same thing with bell peppers. I just love the idea of helping out locally while still getting produce that I KNOW is…
  • I use both, but I take the scale's results as my "true" weight. With the Wii, it's usually off based on how heavy I say my clothes are. I also weigh myself in the morning first thing, but I get on the Wii in the afternoon, so there's that difference as well. I think it depends on where each is located and what times you…
  • I love the Chobani Champions, even though they were designed for kids! They're little 100 calorie greek yogurt cups and are yummy! They're less sour and acidic than the "adult" chobanis, and the texture is fluffier too. :) I love the very berry one with either homemade granola or a tsp of craisins.
  • Fantastic! You go, girl! :)
  • Way to go! You are amazing!
  • Welcome aboard!
  • I would just like to point out, yet again, why I love MFP so much. For the longest time, all anybody heard about losing weight or watching your weight was "Don't eat this" or "Don't eat that"... almost everyone has emphasized moderation. I love it! :)
  • Great job! You're doing fantastic! Hope you heal safely!
  • Northern Virginia- right outside of Washington, DC: i've lived here for the majority of my life and LOVE it!
  • thank you for posting this and for breaking the concept down!
  • I love MFP simply because it's so easy to log everything in! I always failed at remembering to write things down, and then trying to figure out how much everything contained was the worst. MFP makes me want to log my food. Welcome!
  • I had lost a fair amount of weight last year (although it was basically by starving myself and I still had no energy). This summer, I realized that I had gained it all back and couldn't fit down the slides on the playground at the school I work at. I work with autistic preschoolers and realized that when one of them would…
  • You can also make a less salty and fatty version of PF Chang's lettuce cups by sauteing ground turkey with some low sodium soy sauce, shredded carrots, water chestnuts chopped, chopped mushroom, chopped green peppers, and Mrs. Dash origional seasoning. Then you place in lettuce leaves. I sometimes top mine with some cooked…
  • HI! Like many others, I have 100+ to lose as well. We can do it! :)
  • Welcome! :)

  • Can I just say how much I appreciate your encouragement.. your journey is a constant reminder that it can be done and has been done.. therefore, I will do it! Thank you so much!
  • I try to log everything, including my vitamins (but that's because I have to track how much iron and calcium I'm getting). Depending on what the meal is, I may not be obssessive about getting the amount exactly right, but I usually get it pretty darn close. Wanting to measure everything else out and know exactly what…
  • My favorite go-to breakfast is two egg whites or 1 egg white and 1 whole egg on a multi-grain sandwich thin with 1 piece of low-moisture part skim mozzarella or reduced fat provolone cheese and 1/2 tbsp ketchup... it's sooo good!
  • That's awesome! Congrats on this seemingly small but very important accomplishment!
  • I have to have either filtered water or super-duper ice cold, arctic temperature water. I also love MIO water flavoring... especially the Berry Pomegranate. They taste fantastic and add nothing! I also will drink sparkling water with lime or lemon with dinner for a "treat".
  • I totally agree that it is extremely annoying when you look at the serving size of something and then have to do advanced calculus equations to figure out how many calories you actually had.

  • Sometimes, motivation to get ourselves in gear comes from the strangest places, but as long as it works, I'll take it! Hope your sump pump doesn't make it a habit, though!
  • It has been disgusting in Washington, DC the past couple of days.. especially yesterday where the temp was over 100 and the heat index (stupid humidity) made it up to 120 in some places. Even the dogs don't want to go outside!
  • that's fantastic! You're doing a great job!
  • Absolutly! Eff that scale! :)
  • I feel the same way! Before joining this site, I felt as if 'dieting' was a chore and hated/loathed it. Now I feel great everyday and love exercising. I can't wait to enjoy being smaller and healthy too!
  • I've been on many a cruise and, yes, the food is yummy to the max. I would reiterate what lots of others have said about making sure you incorporate walking around the ship often (this will also help you to get out and enjoy the ship!). I've only been on Royal Caribbean ships, but their fitness centers are amazing and the…
