One year ago I was taking two shots a day (insulin and a medication to help my body produce insulin) and 2 different kind of pills to control blood sugar and also taking pills for cholesterol and blood pressure. I got off the shots many months ago and am down to one of the pills and half dose of other one for blood sugar…

My NSV for today. Saw my doctor this morning, and I no longer have to take BP meds! I am slowly but surely getting off all these darn pills! Two more to go!

All this talk of pumpkin has my creative side wondering if you could make pumpkin cookies like the peanut butter ones talked about so much. maybe pumpkin, egg, brown sugar and pumpkin pie spice? I might have to try it.

+1 - love me some pumpkin!

You want to do this 691 line spreadsheet of entries for me? It is REAL fun! Not mind numbing at all. I am on line 300, and going cross eyed!
-
I get funny looks from other drivers too!

I dance hard in my car when I am driving, flailing my arms so I get some step count! I totally accept that as fact.

Great news... I keep bouncing up and down. Been between 175 and 180 for months now. I want to get down to 150 eventually.

Came in today to find that there were donuts for one celebration, bagels for another thing and cake and cupcakes for a birthday celebration, it will all be enjoyed! It is one of those kind of days for me, I did not get enough sleep, got up not feeling great, had to go get some blood work and the tech had to stick me 3…

I will be feeling that tomorrow for sure. It was awesome, I really felt like I got a good workout!

It is a boot camp. High intensity interval training you might say.

HA HA I thought exactly the same thing! It took me 5 hours to get back to Kent from Liverpool and that was enough for me![/quote] And this is one reason I can appreciate living in a country the size of the UK as I hate travel. Anything over 2 hours and I've had enough! Did you get up to anything interesting in Liverpool?…

We have tried Barramundi and it was not too bad - baked it with lemon. I just can't do salmon.

Which ones are those? I am also not a fan of fish.

Thanks for the tip!

I would say it did help.

I play in a weekly billiards league. It is a double jeopardy league, which means we play both 8 ball and 9 ball. I love to play pool. It has become a family thing for us, we were on a team with some co-workers that has evolved over time to me, my husband, my two sons, one of my daughter in laws, my son's best friend and…

What happened to the random pictures thread in the batcave?

In the beginning I weighed or measured everything, then started to get a feel for how much it was, and stopped, maybe that is part of the issue with my stall in weight loss - well, that, and peanut butter.

Testing this out, I have a headache right now, and I am opening the unwanted pep-o-mints now.

I once got a pretty risque email about some weekend plans at work from a coworker whose wife's first name and first two letters of last name were the same as mine, he did not even notice it populated my email address instead of hers. He was very embarrassed. I just replied with something like - Can I bring my husband?
-
Shame I was not there! I would have given you the whole roll.

Confession: Here is my ridiculous confession for today. I was craving something sweet, (pie) and went (via stairs) to 4 different vending machines in the building, until I found it! the glorious Mrs. Bairds Apple Pie! I inserted my dollar, punched the letter/number combo for the pie, and voila!! the machine gives me a roll…

If you like fantasy/magic/witchcraft, The All Souls Trilogy by Deborah Harkness would probably interest you, I have only read The Discovery of Witches so far, but it was good, and I know others who have read the other two (Shadow of Night and The Book of Life) as well and loved them all.
-
I just realized, I am about to read this one for my book club this month... I am hearing good things about it.
-
I like fiction, historical fiction, some non fiction if it is a mystery (nothing too serious or dry). The most recent good read for me was What Alice Forgot by Liane Moriarty.

Yes, thanks and you too @Susieq_1994
