I had thought about the surgery years ago. Last moment though, my insurance was canceled and I wasn't able to go thru it. I didn't see it at the time, but it was a blessing. Counting calories on MFP i've been able to drop 110 pounds and will continue for another 180. Starting is always the hard part, but once you get your…

Why do people keep suggesting to throw away perfectly good food? I've seen plenty of homeless people that wouldn't mind having a kit kat.

I started at 530 lbs, and this week i finally hit 429 lbs. working on another 100 lbs. Don't get discouraged and keep your expectations reasonable. Last thing you need is crash dieting.

I'm 40 and a candidate for hip replacement but my doctor's won't do surgery on me because they keep saying i'm too young. I know though that i need to lose at least another 100 pounds before they will consider the surgery. I've done mostly bike riding when my hip lets me and walk every so often when i get a chance. I've…

I was down 100 pounds last year, but 15 pounds back on after Thanksgiving. I'm back down to a 100 pound weight loss but still need another 150 lbs. Still going strong and not going back to where i was ever again.

I started at 530 lbs and have mobility issues with my hip. My main form of exercise was my bicycle and swimming. Just recently I started doing DDP Yoga which i dint think i would get into, but its DDP so it was worth a shot.

I dropped a shirt size recently and bought some new shirts with the smaller shirt size. They feel good but when i sit down their a bit more fitted. I love wearing baggy shirts, but i have seen the way i look and its just not a very nice look although its way more comfortable. I think i'm going to tailor my shirts though to…

I concur on the easy one you get going. I started off at 530lbs and a year later am down 96 lbs. Dont get discouraged and keep working on it.

you can also find answers to question you may have by searching the archives. Try and check there first before posting a question that has already been answered. Also, dont take everything you read to heart. Plenty of times, people may sound like they are being rude to you but they are not, they are just tired of answering…

lately I've been going with two scoops of protein powder, banana, almond milk, and spinach. I'll occasionally substitute one scoop of protein powder with a serving of pb2. I'll also throw in some mint extract but will skip the pb2 if i add mint.

I thought the master cleanse was going to be replaced by the Peeps Cleanse?

I have lost 93 pounds so far on mostly diet changes. My mobility is compromised a bit since i have arthritis in both of my legs. I get exercise when i can, but my focus has been on maintaining a caloric deficit. I've learned that playing with the numbers and portion control has been what I've focused on. I don't restrict…
