I had to look it up! We just call it zucchini here!

I would never worry if my sugar goes over because of an apple. Natural sources of sugar are much better than something with HFCS or other added sugars. Just make sure that the other parts of your meals don't have extra sugars. Oven roasted instead of honey roasted turkey, or black forest ham instead of honey baked ham.…

I think lexik covered everything that are my go-to's. If you have a Kroger near you, they carry a line of yogurt/protein shakes called Carbmaster. The yogurts are 60 calories and 4 carbs each with a lot of flavors to choose from. I haven't tried the shakes though. I usually by the EAS Advantage Carb Control shakes.…

I've had the Fitbit charge for just over a year now. I could care less what the calorie burn says, I never even look at that part. I just try to always meet my step goal and stair count. And it's nice to see the time or who's calling without checking my phone! ;) The sleep tracker is also interesting. I definitely see…

There's a local (only one of it's kind) Chinese/Thai place we get takeout from usually once a week, although I've been trying to push my husband for only once ever two weeks. It's amazing. I have no clue how to track or estimate the calories. It's too much food for one meal but you can't help but finish it, it's just too…

I'm enjoying 70's Funky Town type music while I work out right now. I found a fun playlist on YouTube and just let it play through. It's all upbeat and keeps me moving or dancing while changing weights! :D

I did Stronglifts 5x5 for several months last year and was never able to do the OHP with the bar, only dumbbells, but was getting close before I stopped. We have a 45 lb bar and 65 lb bar in our home gym and I was able to work up to benching them with plates towards the end. I've just started back to working out this week…

I love my van!!! Wouldn't trade it for anything except a newer one!

I'm short, only 5'1" and currently at 154. I'd like to lose 15 pounds as an initial goal point. Just coming back to MFP after quite a long break.

I think I'm probably a pear shape. Especially after having two kids, it's impossible to get rid of the belly fat. I carry just about everything between my stomach and thighs. My chest is the first place to lose weight which really sucks because it's not that big to begin with!! And then I don't feel like I look any…

Do you have a single serve coffee maker or do you make a whole pot every day? Cutting back on the amount of coffee I make, means I'll drink less. I use a french press every morning and it's two full mugs of coffee. Some days I drink both and some days I only drink one. Also, several years ago I switched to a sugar free…

That is impressive. I've been on MFP for 5 years, but nowhere near as consistently. My longest streak is my current one at 156 days, but even several of those I didn't log every meal! Seriously, congrats on such a big milestone!

LOVE! Starbucks?

Walking is never a waste of time, it's just not going to give you the same results as spending that time weight lifting would. I spent the entire month of January walking 4-5 miles a day on my treadmill while watching Netflix (Usually between 1-2 hours/day). That was probably a waste of time, because I could have done so…

I'm 5'1", and I'm sure if I even look at more than 1300 calories per day I gain weight! I've been off track for the last few weeks, only logging here and there and got lax with weighing food. Time to change that because scale hasn't budged since that happened too.

genaw.com/lowcarb/recipes.html Check out that site! I love her easy cheesy chili chicken, enchildada chicken paillard, and just like stuffed baked potatoes. If the recipe has a 4 or 5 star rating, I've tried it and and probably loved it too! It's organized very nicely and offers variations, and carb counts.

It's an awesome month for a birthday! July is mine, my twin sister's, my mom's, and my daughter's birthdays!

Left side was in November. Right side was a couple weeks ago. About 20 lbs difference. Not a huge change but it's there!

SW (for this challenge): 144.8 lb CW: 143.6 lb GW: 125.0 lb Weekly weigh-in day. Small loss this week, but I did weigh in after eating breakfast so maybe it could have been a bit more. I have not been trying as hard as I should be. I pulled a muscle or something in my back during my deadlifts on Monday, so I skipped…

EAS AdvantEdge Carb Control Ready to Drink Shakes. I prefer the strawberry cream or rich dark chocolate flavors. About 100 calories, 2 net carbs, and 17g of protein.

I log throughout the day when I eat. Sometimes I keep a notepad on the counter and write down measurements as I'm preparing so I can log after we've sat down to eat. Sometimes I just grab my phone and log everything as I fix my plate (and usually everyone else is done eating before I even sit down!) Weighing everything…

SW (for this challenge): 144.8 lb CW: 144.0 lb GW: 125.0 lb Pretty decent week considering my kids have been on spring break, we've had entirely too much junk food, and I've only managed to get in one workout. I'm actually thrilled with my progress this year, because I haven't cut out anything I love. I'm just more…

A few months ago I started Stronglifts 5x5. I think it's the single best thing I've done for myself this year. My only regret is not starting sooner. I will always recommend lifting over cardio now. Cardio won't build or tone muscle, and only gives you more calories to consume each day. Lifting will change your body! And…

Just sounds like a lot of excuses. If you want to do it, you'll make the effort. Same with weight-loss. You have to want it more than you want to be fat. (I'm not saying you as in you personally...just in general. I give myself the same advice). Everybody has to start somewhere, whether its their weight-loss journey,…

It doesn't take hours a day, but yes non-consecutive days are important. I'm doing Stronglifts 5x5 and usually about 40-45 minutes M/W/F.

Never too late! (Well at least not until July!)

Glad I'm not the only short one out there! I'm between 5'1" and 5'2"..I usually round up. Currently at 145 lb with a GW of 125. I've been lower and I've been higher, but I think 125 is a good maintenance point for me. Open diary as well. Some days I definitely do better than others!
