  • It really is! We eat it alot! To add a bit of flavour I normally add a portion of a stock cube to the hot water and a bit of garlic/paprika to flavour it.
  • Oh gosh, I've had the same backache...always thought I had a strong core and was just struggling a bit with picking up my kids...it's all making sense now!
  • Thanks for this...my mummy tummy is the only thing not shrinking at the moment and most likely because I've been doing sit-ups....*note to self* I need to start sucking it in more :)
  • Not sure where you are but these are based on what we can get in UK shops. We have chicken and salad wraps quite often (the lower calorie wraps). I will grill our chicken and then give my daughter (she's 2 and a half) chicken nuggets in hers. Fill it up with lettuce, tomato, cucumber and lighter cheese. We'll have it with…
  • Hi and welcome! MFP will help in more ways than you'll expect. I gave it a go a few months ago, because a friend recommended it, and I didn't expect much but for the first time in years I'm actually losing weight. Making friends who you are accountable to and who support you makes a huge difference.
  • I was still carrying around baby weight from my first pregnancy with my daughter (she's 2 and a half) and when I my son was born in January I was the heaviest I've ever been. So far, I've lost 13 pounds and am 2 pounds away from my pre-first baby weight and a further 20 from being my goal weight. Am always looking for…
  • I have a Weightwatchers 4-in-1 Body Analyser scale. It allows you to set up a profile for up to 10 different people that will be using it. It's very accurate as it factors in age, height and gender. It can measure in kg, pounds and stone. The 4-in-1 function measures Weight, BMI, Body Fat %, Water %. I love it!!!!
  • I'm not sure how long you've been counting calories/trying to lose weight but I found a few weeks into using MFP that my milk supply did a serious drop (my son was fussing at the boob and always hungry). I don't know if it was a growth spurt or my body was struggling a bit to produce adequate with the drop in calories that…
  • I think in my mother's case there were a number of contributing factors - lack of exercise, high stress lifestyle and very poor food choices generally. I'd been saying to her for years that she needs to cut back on the processed food, the high fat food and the bad-for-you snacks she always picks. Thursday gave her a huge…
  • My mom, only 53, suffered 3 heart attacks on Thursday and had emergency surgery that afternoon. Doctor said it was caused by high cholesterol. She's said to make a full recovery. Thing is my mom wanted to sign up to MFP this weekend and have me show her how it works so she could improve her diet. It is being changed…
  • Thank you so much for the advice....I've calmed down a bit now. Think it's been a combination of things - period returned beginning of the week, upped my exercise routine this week and my little man is probably growth spurting. Couldn't have timed it all worse if I tried. I'm currently having a bowl of oatmeal for…
  • There can also sometimes be a delay between what happens here and what happens on FB...have noticed a lag from my side.
  • I have a pair of Reebok Easytones that I wear when I go grocery shopping or on Friday's when I powerwalk with a friend. I can definitely feel the burn, especially on a Friday when we set a pretty fast pace. I love mine. Would love a pair of the flip flop ones and slippers so that I could live in them. People have…
  • I've heard that taking Evening Primose Oil once a day can help to regulate and stabilise us. A very close friend of mine has been taking it and she swears by it. I'm only on a supplement for breastfeeding at the moment but once I stop that I'm going to give it go too. I'm very similar, week before I couldn't exercise due…
  • That sounds just like me - currently weighing 75kg but weighed 55kgs at my wedding 6 years ago...two kids left me looking a little wobbly and flabby and I'm now determined to get back down to close to that weight. I'll settle for 60kgs as my first goal and take it from there. Want to be friends so I can steal all your…
  • Hi there, I'm also in the UK...you'll find when logging in your food that most items from Sainsbury's and Tesco's are in the data base so it's pretty easy. Always wanted to try diet chef....what's the food been like so far? When are you hoping your wedding will be...that should give you a huge incentive, if you ask me.…
  • Wow! Well done...what's your secret? :)
