  • Another breastfeeding mommy here - had my third child in April :) struggling to get my calories right and lose weight. I've been back for 3 weeks and have only managed to maintain which has been frustrating but hoping at some point things will start to move.
  • Based in Poole but log everyday :o)
  • I think that's it. I don't think it's expected so much for a mum of two, who's turning thirty, to be losing weight and working on her appearance quite like I have. Plus, I spent most of my 20's a bigger size to what I am now so I think friends aren't used to seeing me the size I am now. Even my hubby says there are times…
  • With toning, will I lose more or gain more? I know it shouldn't be all about the number but sadly at the moment it is for me...
  • Need to keep this to read later....thank you! Am 10 pounds away from goal weight and think I need to start toning now. Was thinking just this morning that I need to find some good toning exercises
  • Friend request on it's way....From Surrey :)
  • My weekend diary got so ugly that I stopped logging...and true to what you say, I was up at 6am doing 30DS before the rest of the family got up!
  • I allow myself a "treat" everyday....here are my options...so far, a few months in of calorie counting, I haven't binged: Skinny Cow ice-cream sticks (94 calories) Weight-watcher treats (brownies, carrot cake slices) Low fat chocolate mousse pots (around 60 calories) Nutella ( a simple teaspoon from the jar) A biscuit…
  • Day 3 and 4 are the worst....I could hardly walk up my stairs let alone lift my kids but I pushed through and by day 5, I was back to normal. If you choose to carry on, do the modified version of the exercises and don't do anything that causes excruciating pain. I started adding in extra stretches before and after and that…
  • Unfortunately, I think they are there to stay. They will fade if you look after your skin and you may be able to pull off a bikini again but there will always be a subtle reminder of the pregnancy. I say this after two kids wrecked havoc on my belly and have left it looking awful. My eldest, 3 and youngest, 7 months, each…
  • That's what I log it as...I do try to go to the extremes when I play so that I use as many body parts as possible and I only log it if I break a sweat. Played 15 minutes this morning with my daughter :)
  • That was a good giggle! Well done by the way!
  • Gosh, so many of my questions have been answered. Definitely think I need to up my water! I drink generally 10 - 12 glasses but wondering if my body is needing a bit more. I'd also been wondering about how short the warm up and warm down are. Will add some extra stretches in too. And the feeling of throwing up afterwards…
  • Ooooh yum! Saving this for one night this week...have all the ingredients from my last shop.
  • Hi Mary, So sorry to hear about you losing your dad. Very tough losing a close loved one. I'm 27 too but it all started to slow down for me when I was 20, round about when I met my hubby. Two kids later...need I say more? Goal weight for me is just under 140...about 10 pounds away now and MFP has been such an awesome tool.…
  • I put my snacks in at the beginning of the day so that those calories are taken up before my day even begins. I then work the rest of my meals around them. Sounds terrible but it's not everyday. On the days when I feel like I'm going to seriously overeat after my 2 kids have gone to bed are the days when I make a cup of…
  • Hi, I'm currently 147 lb but would like to get close to 130. Lost 18 so far. I've started changing the exercise I do each week and about to buy a jump rope to add something new. I'm a stay-at-home mom so fit exercise in when I can. Would be interesting to see what others doing at this stage....
  • I've had friends mock me for calorie counting...it gets quite ridiculous the comments that come out of people's mouths. One thing that hasn't been commented on is my 16 pound loss in 3 months. Wondering if people are embarrassed to say they can see I've lost weight or if no one can see a difference. Not sure what is…
  • There is hope, promise! My son, second child, was born by emergency c-section 6 months ago. I read all the posts saying I'd never get my tummy back (I lost it after my first child) but I'm half way to my goal weight and I can already see that it's flatter than it's ever been. The bench is decreasing, the skin is tightening…
  • Hi, I'm in Surrey :)
  • Whilst doing my own search, I found this link. Think my friend was talking about a breast feather lift...but, as you'll see it is considered surgery  http://www.breast-plastic-surgery.org/non-surgical-breast-lift.html
  • i have heard that women fall into two categories when breastfeeding - those who shed and those who keep it all on until you stop. Only things to consider that have affected my loss (which is slow and steady) is: 1. How much water are you drinking? I'm only breastfeeding twice a day but try to drink at least 12 - 14 glasses…
  • I'm a pound off a healthy bmi and want to lose about the same as you so going to.....bump....hope you don't mind :)
  • Hi, I joined when my son was 3 months old and have been able to succesfully breastfeed and lose weight and still am nursing my son (who's now 6 months) and losing weight. When adding your food to your diary, search for breastfeeding. It will give you the option to add either 300 or 500 calories to your daily intake. I just…
  • I have a friend who uses walking.about.com :)
  • I just looked online and Tesco sell The Skinny Cow range :) *mental note to pop some in my basket after my next shop*
  • I gained five pounds with my last TOM!!! I was horrified so I completely skipped that week's weigh-in and at the next I'd still had a loss. Think it is largely water retension and let's face it we do tend to eat the things that we normally are able to resist.
  • I give myself a little treat every day :blushing: either a little extra sugar in my tea or a biscuit after supper. I'm trying to make this a lifestyle change so that I know I will maintain it. I used to binge eat all the time when I was trying to "diet" but doing it this way has led to proper cheat days leaving me feel…
  • I'm in Surrey
