  • Wow! I'm overwhelmed just reading about your life! Kudos to you for being able to handle all that!! I do agree with everything J3nnyvsaid and hope you're able to catch a break soon. I am a SAHM and my husband works nights and has over an hour commute to work one way so when he's home he's generally sleeping all day but he…
  • LOL!!!! Since Jaxon, I'm not a night owl anymore. In fact, I'm complete opposite! I like to go to bed about an hour after I put baby down and if that doesn't happen for some reason or another I get my panties in a wad
  • My little man is a chunk! He's 5.5 months and weighs 17 lbs. He's average height and weight so I'm not worried :) oh and he's in size 3 diaper. Every baby is different, that's for sure!
  • Jodi - DH did that with Jaxon for his naps a couple times and I asked him not to make a habit of it!! He goes down so well on his own and I don't want him dependent on that lol When my hubs leaves for work at 7:30 we go outside for a little while, if it's bath night we take a bath, at about 8 I feed him baby food/cereal…
  • We've recently been thinking about this! We're definitely not ready for another right now (if at all) but it has came up because that's usually the first thing people ask when they see us! We may not have any more but if we do I want Jaxon to be out of diapers..so anywhere from 1.5-3 yrs - I sure hope he's out by 3 years…
  • Thanks for your reply!! Chiggers are bad here as well but biting gnats!? Eeek! I felt weird about putting bug spray on him but I felt he needed something because the mosquitoes are so bad and didn't want him being miserable from lots of bites. I did look on Amazon for a natural repellent but I want to say what I found…
  • Thanks for posting! I was wondering about this! I have used the water babies on Jaxon once (last weekend) and he's 5 months. We don't keep him out long but I'd still rather him be protected than to risk him getting a sunburn. I will only put it on him if I absolutely have to over the next month. I've also been wondering…
  • Oh girl mine too!! I'd also been in labor for a few hours before going to the hospital. I timed them and they were only a few minutes apart before I went in. The contractions were fine until they broke my water after that I felt like I couldn't get a break between them and about an hour later I caved and got the epidural.…
  • THIS^^ I wasn't induced but I did have my water broke to move things along. Weirdest.feeling.ever.
  • I tried putting one of those big pads - like they use at the hospital when you have a baby- under the sheet (I kept a stock of them due to my insanely heavy cycles sometimes) but that lasted for all of one night, lol it was just too noisy so I don't recommend buying those! I also slept on a towel a couple nights but that…
  • Jaxon was/is a great nighttime sleeper, he has a 9 o'clock bedtime and is out within 15-20 min before or after 9. But he's also been an irregular napper. Usually he takes 3-4 30 minute naps but lately he's been taking 3 and one of them an hour long so no complaints here lol He's also always been an irregular eater..he's…
  • Thanks Laura and Rebecca for your replies!! I've been giving him cereal/baby food a couple times a day bc he hasn't been wanting a bottle. Last night about an hour before I put him down I gave him baby food with cereal and right before bed he downed 6oz of formula and slept a 9 hour stretch!! He has been teething but…
  • Oh you poor mama!!!! I'm sorry girl! I hope he gets into a good sleep schedule soon!!! I didn't realize our boys were born on the same day! Welcome to the group btw!!! :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:
  • I hope Jayce doesn't either!!
  • That's the funny thing, we spoon feed him cereal and baby food right before bed but he still wakes up 3-4 hours later lol
  • Bahahaha!!! Love it!!! I've done my fair share of googling but for awhile now I've just been letting the mommy instincts take control!! Funny this is funny about sleep training bc I just posted a topic that has to do with baby sleeping lol
  • I did not even think about doing that! Thanks lady!
  • Our Cruze is so small and my husband is a tall/thick guy we can't even put his seat in the center because where he has to have the seat it pushes on the carseat lol so we keep Jaxon's carseat behind the passenger seat and I ride in the middle in the back whenever we go anywhere. It's the most comfortable for all of us. I…
  • I'm so glad you posted this topic!!!! I was literally looking at them on Amazon all evening yesterday!! I'd like to know more. I found one, I think it may be evenflo so nothing fancy, it reclines and I really like that feature. Rebecca, I came across some of the Britax ones last night as well...are they compact? I have a…
  • I second this! ^^^
  • Niki & Rebecca - Thanks for your replies!! I have tried holding him outward as well but he still doesn't have it! I've found a way, I will sit on the couch and lay him next to me with his legs going up the back of the couch and his head on my leg or on a pillow and he loves it! And its comfortable for both of us, he…
  • Wow, I'm so sorry!! I bet that's a tough position to be in and I'm sure I'd feel lonely too! IMO, it seems like he bit off more than he can chew when it comes to having a baby. You said he will watch Miles for you to do things but makes a big deal? But when he stays out all night and sleeps all day you're supposed to be…
  • Jaxon will be 4 months in 4 days so I'm not really thinking about all that but he is getting curious about my drinks/food to the point where he's brought my drink to his mouth and has grabbed my food after watching it go bsck and forth from plate to mouth. Also, there are only certain times he will let me hold him while…
  • Congrats on your LO!! I agree with what others have said, I ate 1800 while i was breastfeeding but due to so many issues i had to stop (my son was 5 weeks) and that's when I started back up easing into it (that's when I got cleared). by the time he was 2 months I was in full force and losing weight again. :)
  • I've had a hypoactive thyroid since I was 14, probably before. Since I first got my period at 11 I've always had crazy, unpredictable bleeding. I can have a period or just bleeding that will last from 2 weeks to 3 months straight or I can go months on end without one. I also have PCOS so the odds for crazy bleeding are…
  • This is something I'm struggling with too! Glad you posted it. Usually Jaxon is in his walker or bumbo next to me when I'm doing something but I do turn the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on for him when I'm trying to keep him awake when he wants to fall asleep before bed time or when his teething pain is getting to him and I've…
  • Everyone is so right! You have to have the motivation to get out there and do it! My LO is 3.5 months but when I was cleared for working out at 5 weeks, just the thought was exhausting! I started little, only doing 30 minutes per day but as soon as he turned 2 months I bumped it up to an hour. Taking a walk/jog with the…

  • I just recently figured out that Jaxon likes tummy time on my bed! On anything else he's okay for a few minutes then starts fussing/crying but when he's on my bed he's content for awhile :)
  • We have just a regular ol monitor as we don't need anything more, Jax sleeps in our room at night and naps in his swing in the living room where I'm at during the day (hubs works nights/sleeps days) but it is nice for when I'm not ready to go to bed after I put him down or when I need to go outside for something while he…
  • Jax rarely takes a pacifier and will not do any kind of teether! As others have said, we've also been using the teething tablets and they seem to work!
