I love shredding some cauliflower to almost make a hash brown. Egg whites with only one whole egg. And chicken isernio sausage. Great Sunday morning breakfast. Daily what about a protein shake? Easy and on the go

Yes I finally gave up alcohol to lose weight. It has helped a great deal for me to achieve my 20 pound loss. However the second I have a glass of wine I have instant bloating and water weight. It's frustrating
-
Me too. It's disheartening.

I experienced the exact same thing. I was prepared for it but I still get frustrated. I've been so diligent for 10 weeks. Had 3 drinks last night for 3lbs and Saturday night I will have a couple more drinks. After that I will get back on track. But freaking out that I'll have 6 lbs to wait to drop off just because of a…

Is there anything specific you would suggest doing the day after a cheat day? I had wine as my cheat and a few carbs. Scale is up 3 lbs, I know water, but curious how to counterbalance the next day or just get back on the normal wagon and wait it out.
-
How long did it take you to get from 23% to 15%? I'm stalled at 23% myself. I usually don't cheat but am surprised how slow it had become. Curious of your journey. And congrats!
-
It feels like cheating! I did plan for it but still scale says up 3lbs. I know it is just water but why does that have to happen?!
-
I started my journey July 24th. It's hard but it is worth it!
-
I plan too! I have them logged already and am already salivating
-
Yes I will need to take it easy! I will force myself to only one drink an hour

I am happy to have found this Thread. I cut alcohol for Weight loss end of July. It had been a huge difference for me losing 20 pounds. But I miss my wine desperately but if I have a glass I tend not to lose weight that week. Tonight will be a cheat day and I plan to have a couple glasses of wine. I'm nervous what will…

Good for you! I'm preparing today for my first cheat. I've been lchf for 3 months with little to no alcohol and tonight I'm planning to have a couple glasses of wine for two celebrations. I'm nervous but realize this is part of life and having wine will not sabotage my efforts. I will survive and hope it kicks me in for…

Nope never. And it ticks me off. I have been so diligent. But I am lower than I was 5 weeks ago so I applaud my own journey

I say circuit training when I log hiit or crossfit workouts
-
Crossfit is awesome! For everyone and for every goal!
-
I can talk from my personal experience that alcohol absolutely blocks my ability to lose weight. Same calories and food but throw in one drink and I stop Wright loss for a few days at least. Since cutting alcohol I have lost almost 20 pounds.

I feel your pain! I have been in the exact same boat. I gave in to maybe a handful of my daughters nachos and from that I "gained" 2 pounds. I realize it's not real weight but I don't care. It's frustrating. I did realize that downing a bunch of water and iced tea did help me get through my cravings though. Hang in there

Yes I am too. Second round. Day 1. Would love a group. I have my coach but the more support the better

What is interesting is I do Crossfit and after a workout, if I am sore I am up 3 pounds instantly. If I stop working out(for a couple days), I lose 4 pounds that will instantly come back. I know the body releases lactic(?) acid when you work out for muscle repair. My trainer told me I need more protein so the body can…

AND when I eat Paleo I do NOT crave sugar and my hunger is amazingly controlled!
-
all paleo is, is eating clean. No processed foods which cavemen never ate and are destroying our bodies. There is way too much thought on this. It will make you feel amazing. I feel indulgent eating this way and not at all deprived! I have so increased my fruits/veggies it makes up for all the macronutrients I would be…

I do crossfit and got into paleO through the gym. It really is a great diet to feel gratuitous and get strong but I didn't lose weight bit I lost like 6 inches almost instantly mainly from abs. Many in my gym lost a ton of weight. I highly recommend trying it and do it with people. Try the website everydaypaleo.com!

I upped my calories for last few weeks to 1540 from 1200 but have gained. Some may be water weight from a weekend but nonetheless scale shows a gain. I'm not sure if I should lower it back down-what are your thoughts? I would hate to raise my calories again and gain weight. Your input would be great
-
Same thing happened to me last weekend! So frustrated to have not lost weight after trying so hard and then gain so easily even if it is water weight. Mine has gone down by 1 or 2 but still up by a net of 3! Trying to slim down for a Mid June vaca and this really set me back. Who knows how much I will gain on a 10 day vaca…

I would suggest doubling your water intake consciencely!! Eat as low sodium as you can. Ask restaurants to make food w/ o extra salt. Still have your treats but log them in a notebook. Have fun! We do MFP so we can enjoy life more:)

Any specific food suggestions for fighting water retention? I'm pretty consistently under 2500 mg, many days I'm under 1000, but I retain water daily like crazy! Thanks for the book tip:)
-
I'm in the same boat. Except mine showed up as 5 lbs! I'm sure it's water weight but it's not comIng off very quickly. It's been 4 days for one day of a couple bad choices!!!! Anyway, workout 2 times as hard and long and drink so much water you think you may get sick;(. Maybe even green tea to help get rid of some of the…

I've become quite compulsive with the scale:(. I weigh my self daily and lately throughout the day. But does anyone find you weigh a LOT LESS AT BEDTIME?? I weighed myself at 156 last night qt 10pm but this morning at 6 I weighed 163?? I'm sure IRS water but why does it go up so much while I sleep?
-
I wish I could say 'do this' and that would fix it for you. I am in the same boat and all I can say is it is better than the alternative to gaining. Try upping your caloreis or zig-zagging them. Keep at it. I have heard it takes time. We will do this!
