I'm also a huge Rodney Yee fan. He has videos of all levels, but you won't find all levels on one DVD or in one boxed set. He also has a good book "Moving Toward Balance" that goes through the basics of many poses. Amazon is a good place to look.

seriously? Wow, there was noting mean in there at all. OP, you'd better toughen up if you plan to stay on the forums.

I prefer to run halfs and I like halfs of all sizes, including small trail runs. I've had as much fun at at Rock n' Roll as I have in tiny trail runs with nothing but water jugs left out as aid stations. I do a few really large 5K or 10K fun runs per year, but I don't really like them anymore. I get frustrated with dogs…

Omg! That made me laugh. I'm glad you are cured. I recently had a pinching feeling on my arch and couldn't figure it out. I thought maybe my socks were to blame and went through multiple pairs trying to correct it. It turned out to be a hair band that somehow got under the insole. It wasn't painful, but just annoying. It…

I found my club in a local running magazine. I visited their facebook page before I went and messaged the group leader about how to join - he said to just show up and run. My club doesn't cost anything, but many do charge something. Usually, they will let you run with them a couple times before they ask you to join. I love…

Chicago Marathon on Oct. 12. This will be my 2nd marathon. My first marathon was complete misery, so my only goal is to enjoy this one.

My doctor never said a word about it. When I lost 70 pounds, she never even noticed and I had to call attention to it. Interestingly, when I lost another 10 pounds, she said I was getting too thin. Nope, never even mentioned possible health problems when my BMI was almost 35, but told me I was too thin at 20.5. I don't go…

Is $100 per week what is really holding you back from IVF? When you have a child, you can be sure you will be spending that much on diapers, babyfood, extra health insurance, and everything else a baby needs. If you work outside the home you can expect to pay essentially another mortgage payment for daycare. You said…

You don't know. Even with vows, promises, and good intentions, there are no guarantees.

I'd consider a different workout on the weekend that doesn't involve the TV. It kind of sounds like you've painted yourself into a corner where if the TV is not available, you feel like you can't work out. I'm not taking anyone's side about who should be entitled to the TV, just saying that you can give yourself other…

You aren't alone. I used to do this to and did it for years because I had a long way to go and it seemed overwhelming. Challenge yourself with mini-goals. Try to stay on track for one day, then one week, then for 5 pounds, etc.

I was a fiend for Ripped Fuel with ephedrine in college. I've also done a hoaxy colon cleanse where you drink psyllium and bentonite shakes and eat one meal a day. I'm not even going to describe what happens to psyllium and bentonite after you drink it. Oh...and I did Alli. Until the unfortunate incident in my work clothes.

I was having enough trouble deciding if I was a "runner" or a "long distance runner". Now I have to consider that I might be a "jogger", too? This is getting way too confusing.

Wrong? maybe. Rude? yes. You could have at least given him a fake phone number before you left.

OMG! I'm so sorry. What a freaking nightmare. :hugs:

pasta with gorgonzola and walnuts is very tasty.

If you are referring to my comment, no one on my friends list is whining about mean people. Having to explain this kind of makes my point. Hence, the pass.
-
Pass. You seem too high maintenance for me. Here's a helpful tip though: you can always send friend requests to the people that YOU think are nice.

Once fabric rips, it's hard to keep it from tearing again no matter how well you sew it back together. It just doesn't work. When I was losing weight, I bought my clothes at thrift stores because I knew I wouldn't be wearing them long. There are lots of nice jeans there. I'd buy a couple pairs, wear them until they were…

Favorite pre-run dinner: vegan fettuccini alfredo. The sauce is made with pureed tofu and nutritional yeast so it isn't oily or heavy but has lots of flavor. Favorite pre-run breakfast: 2 slices Dave's Killer Bread with 1 tablespoon almond butter and as much coffee as I can drink.

It happened to me on the 20th mile of a 22 mile training run. I was only a mile from home and so out of it that I forgot I had my phone and could call for help. I walked home and laid on my shower floor for 45 minutes shaking and vomiting the recovery drink I was trying to get down. It was one of the worst feelings I've…

Not sure why you care about anyone else at the gym. You are there for yourself, right? What difference does it make how anyone else looks?

Oh wow, when I opened this post I expected to read about another problem...I had no idea that heat and humidity could cause wet feet issues since that isn't a problem where I live. Rain and wet streets, however, are a problem where I live. I don't know of any way to keep feet dry, but I do know that thin, synthetic socks…

I completed my first marathon on a vegan diet. I suffered horrible muscle loss from it because, while I was eating enough calories, I didn't eat enough protein. I know the standard vegan line is that it's easy to get enough protein on a plant-based diet. True for the average person, but not for athletes. You may need to…
