What a great story! Way to go, you are doing great!

Oh my gosh! You are only 23!! NO, it is not too late. This is how I see it, and this is just my experience. I cannot go back to how I used to eat, because that is what got me over weight in the first place. So, is it difficult to acquire new eating habits permanently, sure it is. But my old eating habits weren't working.…

Great job! I'll bet you feel very proud! You should. I am a little ways behind you, but I'll get there. I am down 29, and ran a 5k on the treadmill. I know it is not the same as on the road, but I felt good doing without stopping. Good luck going forward.

Works for me if still under my calorie goal. Otherwise, I would feel like I am cheating on a diet, and worry about it. I am not really on a diet, just eating a set number of calories a day. I don't feel deprived of food this way, and it is working for me. Now, if you jump up and "snack" on a cookie 10 or 20 times a day,…

Most posters have the same thought, don't diet. Eat the amount of calories of your normal foods that create a slight deficit, and lose weight.

Hand fulls of cereal out of the bag, and peanut butter.

I count the calories in wine and beer just as I do in chicken and broccoli. I have been seeing a steady weight loss for about 10 weeks now, so I don't feel it has hindered me any.

Exactly! Mondays so that you don't go crazy on the weekends with eating thinking, "I'll get it back off by Friday weight in time"..

"Dying ain't much of a living boy" "Why Johnny Ringo, you look like someone just walked over your grave".

Congrats! Don't say "Sorry"!!! That is what this site is all about, people who want to hear about others succeeding at what they are trying to do! Way to go!

I am a fan as well. No live events anywhere around here, so have to catch them on TV when they are. Also no bars that show the events, I live in a very small community. But I keep up when I can. Used to teach martial arts in K.C., of course nothing even remotely like this. Most of my students where high school kids. So I…

Nice job, you should be very proud.

I dont' really see myself as inappropriate, I just say what I think! you can add me

It has helped me. I never have really eaten that bad, I just eat a lot. Now with setting behind a desk, I just can't do that. The biggest issue for me is I relate a diet to not eating. So even now, I don't eat near enough, then finally can't stand it anymore and go nuts. So the charting is helping me realize how many…

Absolutely amazing, way to stick with it dude!

I lost quite a bit of weight once before, 50+. The one I hated the most was, "You've lost a lot of weight, have you been sick"?
-
Awesome! Way to stick with it!!

When I really need to kick the cardio up to drops some lbs, I either do the stairmaster machine that looks kind of like an escalator where the stairs just keep coming, or I do a spin class. Both of those make me sweat like crazy, and I can get results on the scales. The elliptical is more of a cool down machine for me,…

Awesome Job!

Where I work out it is mostly a smile or a nod. I don't usually talk to anyone I don't really know because I don't want to be perceived as that 40-something guy who tries to talk to the girls! But, I live in a very small community and know most everyone at my gym.

I really liked the first few CD's in the mid 90's. "Curb" and "The State". The next one, "Silver Side Up" was just ok for me. I haven't been blown away by anything since, but I still like them and listen to them. I caught a concert on AXSTV a few months ago, I think they were in Sturgis maybe? I thought it was really good.

Hi, I am 48. I have lost and gained weight all my life.... I don't find losing it any harder now, what I do find tougher is the amount of time I can spend in the gym, my intensity at the gym, and time to recover. I can truely feel a difference between exercising, playing basketball, whatever now and in my 30s. Just part of…

Pretty much the same with me. I need to lose 35 - 40 lbs. My biggest issue is in the evenings. I am not hungry, but just feel like I should go to the kitchen and get something to eat. I don't know why.. I have been sticking with MPF for about 5 weeks now, except for the eating in the evenings for no reason, I feel like it…

I am no where near maintaining yet, still have many to lose. But, I don't eat back the calories I burn at the gym so that in the evening if I go over, or have a few beers, I don't worry about it cuz I know I am at a deficit for the day. I have no idea if that is good or bad, but it is working, and I don't feel like it is…

I leave mine open. It seems the only people who look at it are the few friends I have acquired, and they seem to be helpful and comment on my fix of foods. It has been ok for me.

That is really an interesting observation though. Many kids openly smoked when i was in high school, but the only tattoos you saw (usually) were very poor self inflicted ones. My kids now go to the same high school, and I don't see very many at all smoking, but I have noticed at some sporting events some VERY nice ink on…
