  • Enjoy yourself and worry about it when you get back. I just got back from Cuba on Apr 5. When they say Cuban food isn't that great, they aren't lying... so I didn't indulge too much in food, maybe only the all you can eat lobster we can Friday evening. Try to get a lot of exercise in if you can... walking, snorkelling,…
  • have you tried meetup? Glad things went well.... keep us posted :)

  • That sounds fun! I would like to do something like that, but not to meet someone to date... not sure my fiancé would like that LOL!!

  • Ya my guess is he probably couldn't remember, so said it to save face just in case!!! Good luck on your date! (or if you had it, how did it go?)

  • 1. Since starting MFP 88 lbs 2. First year I lost around 75, then another 1/2 year to lose the rest. 3. 1300-1350, but I had a cheat day every week 4. 3-4 hours a week, didn't eat back my exercise calories to make up for cheat day 5. hmmm well it changed because I burned more at my heaviest, but around 300-500 per session…
  • Hope you feel better soon. I took a good turn at a month in, but it was over 2 months until I really felt myself. I went back to the gym at 6 weeks and it was too soon. Then went back at 8 and felt a lot better about it. now I am 3 months and I feel pretty damn good. I can work out as I wish, my stomach is finally starting…
  • Fantastic start!! As people say - you are lapping those sitting on the couch! When I started to run I was at 245lbs and I can recall all those horrible feelings in my lungs, I thought I was going to have cardiac arrest right on the road. I did endure thru it and my lungs can handle it now. Keep to it, when you are ready…
  • I can't reply based on your question as I eat meat, but when I ate too much licorice when pregnant my poop turned green. Must just be diet related, I wouldn't panic unless it was bloody or looked like coffee grounds!
  • I think it depends on the person. I was 280 at my heaviest and am now around 158. I had twins, so I had a lot of loose skin. I couldn't fix it alone, so had surgery (profile pic), but everyone is different. I did see a lot of change with weights though - so try to incorporate that. For me, having twins just made it a bit…
  • OMG You look like a different person. Congrats on all your hard work and success. I am happy to hear for you that they are going to remove the skin for free!! I am 3 most post tummy tuck and it's one of the best decisions I ever made. Keep us posted on that :)
  • Hello, I am about 12 weeks post op. Below I posted my befores and my 10 week post op pics. I was about 162, but then had some fun and I think my day of surgery I was about 166. I lost 9 lbs with the surgery - 4 of it was skin. I would also do it again, but it did hurt like hell. This is coming from a twin pregnancy and…
  • What I find so funny/unreal for me, is even after a tummy tuck I still have stretch marks that extend up past my belly button -- that is how butchered my stomach was from having twins!!! My incision looks red and thick, but if you look closely, it's just more stretch marks causing the thickness .... My stomach was screwed,…
  • You are still VERY early on in your recovery. I am shocked at 3 weeks you got the go ahead for exercise with light weights and sex. I got the go ahead for very very light exercise, NO weights at 6 weeks and even then it felt too soon. I only really got back to normal stuff (and being comfortable with sex) at about 2…
  • It's tough to tell especially if it's a mix. I look shrivelled up so I knew lots was skin, but I would be naïve to think there was no fat there. The surgeon will tell you, and look at all your measurements and advise on what he thinks - good time, lose more, etc.
  • I don't think anyone I know would expect the booze NOT to be BYOB, totally acceptable IMO! offer some snacks and/or dinner!!
  • Same as you, I can't go without. I am a 34E and we don't need to scare anyone. I also agree, I never feel mine either, never pull up the straps or have anything cut in -- I guess that's what I get for going to the pricey bra stores for proper fitting?? haha at my size my girls look much better pulled up :)

  • Awesome job! maintaining can be struggle, I've been in your shoes more than once! Hope you enjoyed your trip and you are a hottie! just saying! good job!
  • You look like a whole new person, awesome job!
  • Congrats on your success this far! For me, I got to my goal and went lax and gained 10 lbs, now that I've gotten it back off, I find to maintain is just as hard as losing...so it gives me something to focus on. I have also made some new goals that aren't scale related. I wanted to comment on something that stood out to me…
  • Sorry to hear about the loss of your father, hugs. I lost my mom to cancer in 2004, when she was 53 and I was 23. It will be 10 years in March.
  • Generally lipo is a part of the TT procedure. All the surgeons I consulted planned to do it. Everyone I've talk too who has had a TT had it as well :) Obvisously for the abdomen/flank area... thighs, etc. would be another story! good luck!
  • I am in Calgary, AB, Canada... there are tonnes of threads with AB/BC peeps! Feel free to add me anyone ETA: LOL not sure why I felt the need to clarify it was Canada I live in :P
  • I make a taco salad - I skip the shells/wraps all together. I sometimes add cheese, sometimes don't. So basically lettuce, hamburger, seasoning, salsa, sour cream... yummy! If I do want a real one - I get the 80 calories wraps!
  • I am only 9 weeks post op, but my profile pic is 2 weeks to 5 weeks post op (posted it to show the unreal swelling) but you can see the incision there. I had a csection 8 years ago, and when I went in for the tummy tuck I could barely see the incision from the csection - like seriously so like I had to look for it! They…
  • Awesome! I am 9 weeks today, thought I blew something going back to light exercise but on exam today he said I am absolutely ok! I found out that while he sews the abs back together he also sews some of the skin down to the muscles to help with a nice contour after (ie 6 pack) and this is probably what I am starting to see…
  • I wouldn't say I lost weight doing C25K, but it certainly helped with my calorie burns, and with my healthy diet led to my weight loss! It was hard to start because I was 245lbs and I hadn't exercised in years. Be aware of this, you won't just run awesome out of the gate. I could barely run the minute and when I finished I…
  • Welcome! I remember back when I first started and it can be frustrating. Remember that this is a lifestyle change, not a diet, and you can still eat all the foods you enjoy. Just make sure what you eat is portion controlled, and the bad stuff is in moderation. I found for me it helped to decide how much to aim for, for…
  • I am 2 months post op. I basically did nothing for 6 weeks (no cleaning, no lifting baskets, vacuuming, exercising, baths, sex, etc.) and got clearance 2 weeks ago. I went back to the gym, and felt I was taking it easy, but now have some more swelling -- which I know is NORMAL but I have one spot around my belly button…
  • Maybe in a couple months we can have a get together. I don't mind having it here depending on the amount of people lol I live in a town home and we can discuss a uniform if we still wanna do that. Even just a t shirt we can do ourselves. What does everyone think.??
  • A little too scary for this girl, but if anyone wants to start hiking when it's nicer out I'd really like to get into that!
