  • My point is that I would rather pay for people's birth control than this current program. And actually from what I understand, the bill is reducing the amount available for a lot of the state programs and they are claiming that they are going to start restricting it. What really sucks about it is that people like us who…
  • Wow. There's a special term of crazy for my mother in law. Even better, I totally want to send it to her. She told my husband that he had every possible disorder under the sun growing up - (his brother, too), and still claims that there is virtually no way he can be a normal functioning adult without a boatload of meds.…
  • Also, if you aren't working, we are probably already paying for your birth control (among other things). But those who are working struggle to pay the cash value of these meds. We pay cash for our doctor visits, and it's $200 just for a clinic visit - that's expensive for some people even before the birth control! So if we…
  • Huh. Right now (before Obamacare), people in my state automatically get medical coverage if they are pregnant - regardless of income, assets, etc. So instead people can get pregnant, apply for coverage, have the entire 40 weeks paid plus anything else they want done (medical, dental, etc.), then get coverage for two months…
  • I'm doubtful, but it would be nice. Although I already have mine. I think we should be offering free IUD's. More long term and fool proof than any other birth control method except surgery, and nearly as effective!
  • Gloria Jean's Butter Toffee k-cups (although these are my second favorite now that I've discovered macadamia cookie flavor.... but I haven't had enough to beat out the butter toffee.) International Delight Coffee Creamer - Almond Joy Starbucks Refreshers Strawberry Lemonade Energy Drink. Apparently I have a caffeine…
  • I've discovered that my eyes get a lot of compliments lately.... and physically I'm learning to appreciate them a lot. That said, I think I'm hilarious. I'm probably not, but I think I am... and that's my favorite part about me. Also, that I'm kind of nerdy.
  • A pound of ground coffee and some sweetened condensed milk and fat free half and half. I have an iced coffee addiction. Also chicken. Some sort of produce that looks tasty (it's Minnesota.... we have limited selections.) I'm also currently in love with Emerald's S'mores breakfast pack. Best snack/trail mix combos ever.
  • I have a set of 1lb and a set of 2lb weights, and my 2 and 3 year old use those and join in. My 3 year old son doesn't stick with it long, but I've just kind of laid down rules (stay out of my way, this is not 20 question time, beware - random kicking!) and after some time they finally caught on. It's never easy or the…
  • I was walking regularly a while back and I bought a pair of Nike walking shoes and a pair of Skechers Shape Ups (the smaller ones, not the super huge ones) at the same time. I ended up using the Skechers all the time, because the shape of the heel and sole of the foot made me walk correctly - I tend to turn in my foot a…
  • I don't give a rip about height as long as he can make me laugh.....
  • ONE of my favorite Disney movies. Although Up is better in my opinion.
  • Super Troopers is the #1 favorite in this house. Closely followed by Zack and Miri Make a Porno.
  • Bah! I forgot da bacon!!!
  • Fun Dip. It's like good-girl-that-never-tried-drugs version of crack. Archer Farms Strawberry Dragonfruit mix packets. If I know I need to drink more water, this will always get me to down a glass. Iced coffee concentrate. The Pioneer Woman is evil and wonderful all at the same time. Canned spinach. Me love. Wine.
  • Laptops. Despite the post, I do need them - I'm self employed and this sucker goes everywhere with me. Also, sometimes I work from the couch, from my bed, from my office, from my car.... I'm all over the place. Although my laptop is less mobile now that I bought an iPad. If I'm just on the road checking properties, etc., I…
  • I read some of this, and I'm just shocked at how harsh people can be from all sides of the fence. If it works for someone, great. If it works for you, great. Don't force your goals/dreams/aspirations/ideals onto other people. I eat what I eat, I'm happy with it, my goals are not what other's goals are, and I leave it at…
  • I didn't take time off, I just jumped into level 2, and hated it for 10 days. Some people skip level 2 because they hate it so much, but I wanted to do the program the way it was meant to be done - and if it's hard, that means I'm making that much more change happen with my body! I did 30 Day Shred, then immediately…
  • I honestly look less at the day to day and more at the week as a whole. If I go over one day unexpectedly, I try to stay under a bit the next day to make up for it. My life is never predictable, and I've found this to work really well for me.
  • I won't even try Mio because of the artificial sweetners. And I'm usually not a food snob, but I'm just not interested. Target sells a strawberry dragonfruit mix under their brand name that is sweetened with Truvia - love it. I also am very into the Starbucks Refreshers line, although in general I prefer the Target stuff.…
  • I'm on the road probably 3 out of 5 days checking foreclosure houses. I stop at convenience stores all the time, so I totally feel your pain. Sometimes I get lucky and they have a low cal healthy snack I can grab, but sometimes it seems like it is all just junk. It's not easy. Also, sitting in the car trying to cram as…
  • I had crazy awesome results in my waistline and measurements with 30 Day Shred and Ripped in 30. For a half an hour a day, I love it!
  • That helps. So maybe I need to spend more than $50.....
  • No biking all week long.... life gets in my way! Went out today, though! Time : 1 hour 41 minutes Cadence goal : 80 Distance 26.17 mi Average speed: 15.4 Calories burned per HRM: 1354 Sunburn? Yes. Also, I picked up the dry Refresher packets at Starbucks yesterday. I love the canned refreshers, but was intrigued by a…
  • I think it would last a lot longer! You could leave it up there for a few months.....
  • Yowzers. Okay, I did a ton of research when I decided to get an IUD. There are two common ones - the Mirena (hormonal), and Paragard (non-hormonal). Paragard is wrapped in copper, which repels sperm - but they don't know why. They just know it works. It also changes the uterine environment to make implantation difficult.…
  • I know that I ate 1,200 calories for three months and didn't lose a pound. I started "cheating" (and logging it) and eating around 1,500, and the weight started falling off like crazy. Then I did some reading, decided to never eat below my BMR, and life has been good since. :-)
  • I am by no means a professional. I got my first DSLR a few months ago "for work", but it's been easily just as much for fun. I'm loving the trick with Canon where you can flip your lens and use it as a macro - it's not as fantastic as a "real" macro lens would be, but I'm not sure which one I want yet. Also, lenses become…
  • Photography is about the only thing mentioned here that I can stand to do. Although I was seriously into music performance for a long time - but I assure you I was never really sitting still in my chair!
