  • Kelika71: I know it because it did it. Last year, when I started I lost 46 pounds without any exercise.

  • And my dinner. Dinner: Water Apple Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad (romaine lettuce and tomatoes only). Hot tea (no sugar) I remove cheese that comes with the salad but do use dressing that comes with it.

  • Thanks LoveMy3Boys for your comment and question. I cut it into several pieces and consumed it piece by piece together with toast and turkey.

  • When I am a situation that the fast food restaurant is the only solution, then Subway is my choice.
  • I weigh myself every day. Try to weight yourself in the morning. Wake up, use the bathroom, take off your clothes, and step on the digital scale

  • My knowledge and experience say that it is not possible to lose fat only. I’m afraid that some muscle loss may be unavoidable if you want to lose weight fast. Losing weight fast - at least at the beginning - has its benefits. There is no better motivation than seeing the results of your hard work and reaching your goals.…
  • The role of exercise in weight loss has been wildly overstated. The truth is that you don’t have to exercise to lose weight. I can state that because I have lost 46 pounds without exercising at all. Being active and exercise is great for our health, but in terms of pounds, exercise contributes a little towards weight-loss.…
  • I agree with you. Being a parent is the most important job, while being a parent of teenager is the most difficult one.
  • I have the most important job. I am a parent. There is no more important job in any society than raising children. I have two kids. Son started college three years ago. Daughter is starting her college in September. What do I like the most of it? Loving my children no matter what and giving them unconditional love. Also,…

  • I know the feeling. I can’t get myself to drink green tea. However I know that I would force myself to drink it if anything else didn’t work and my weight loss depended on it. Losing weight is a complex process and it requires several action items. The most important is to stop eating unhealthy and fattening foods - foods…
  • Stop eating unhealthy and fattening foods and start eating fresh vegetables, selected fruits, and lean meat.
  • You don’t have to exercise to lose weight because weight loss can be achieved without exercise Diet changes have much greater effect.

  • I struggle with water drinking, too. Please take a look at this: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/224200-drinking-enough-water

  • Sure. Take a break. It is a healthy and practical thought. Restarting when motivation is higher will bring better results. The feeling of being restricted is not supportive. It is better to think about what we do in context of choice we are making. Diet changes have a greater effect on weight loss than exercise.
  • I have been eating this way for a year. This method provides my body with the right amount of fuel, nutrients and minerals it needs. I totally eliminated foods that have empty calories and those that are filled with unhealthy fats, sugar and artificial ingredients. In addition to fresh vegetables and some fruits I also eat…
  • I believe that questions asked on this forum are directed to all of us. It means that anybody can respond, offer comments or share experience. I don’t think responding to a post should be reserved to those who are certified nutritionists, licensed fitness advisors, or hold degree in medicine. Having opportunity to read the…
  • Another coffee lover here. I love Starbuck coffee and used to have 3-4 Starbucks each day. A year ago I got very strong motivation to make immediate changes in what I eat. I also stopped drinking coffee then. I quickly lost 46 pounds. The first few weeks the coffee part was the most difficult for me. For ten months I…
  • I live in the big city where life goes on fast and many people are impatient. I can easily imagine people’s reactions, if someone asked a calories related question before ordering in the deli. I would probably have been one of those people, if that had happened more than a year ago at my deli. At that time I did not want…
  • What specifically bothers you right now?

  • I am a scale freak and weigh myself twice a day. First time before breakfast and second time when I come back from work. It is probably a ritual that confirms to me that I am doing something about my weight. Every time I see a different third digit, it feels so good. Don’t worry if your weight fluctuates. As long as your…

  • When I was seventeen I was slim, practiced karate, was in love and thought that life was beautiful.
  • There are many ways to attempt to lose weight. One of them is eating food that supports weight loss process. If you give this approach your complete commitment, there is no question in my mind that it will work for you, too. But you've got to stop eating food that does not support weight loss. You will be amazed how easily…
  • This is great. What a smart approach.
  • I gave up practically everything I liked. Few years ago it would be unthinkable to me to give up Big Mac, pizza or Chinese food, but this time I did it. Last year I developed very strong motivation that helped me implement drastic changes in my eating habits. As far as food was concerned, I was determined to do anything…
