Oh, I just use the yogurt in my protein smoothie anyway. I add a scoop of whey protein powder to that.

If you don't have a fine mesh strainer/colander you can use a regular colander with a piece of paper towel or cheesecloth in it. Either way works fine.

I rode today too. Got a late start though, and ran into traffic and construction. Ugh. When it took an hour to go seven miles I gave up and rode back home!

I need some glove recommendations. Since I'm riding in a different position now my hands are getting a little sore, especially the top of my hand right at the base of my fingers. I don't like full gloves though. What do you all use?
-
Hawkeye, what kind of gels do you get? I want to try some but not if they're nasty!
-
I did 11 miles this morning but I'll probably ride again later.

Years ago my exhole and his friend rode from Syracuse, NY to Rising Sun, MD. That sounded like an amazing ride! The Pennsylvania mountains had to be interesting.
-
I rode 7/2 (picked up my new bike and rode it home!), 7/3, 7/4, 7/5. Not sure about today, it's going to be really hot and humid and thunderstorms later.
-
Oh, MAN! Didn't see this post until now. Since the Tour started I've only ridden 4 hours and 20 minutes total. I just bought my first road bike last week (in my avatar!) and still getting used to it.

Well, you guys are making me drool with your great bikes but I'm in love with my new Trek! :-)
-
Cloggsy....NICE!! :::drool:::
-
I went out for another 90 minute ride. I can't stay off this thing!! Cloggsy, do you have a Boardman bike?? I've never seen one.
-
I just did my usual hour ride for the first time with the Trek. It only took 30 minutes! :-D
-
Wow, that's a lot of miles...great job!!

My bike adventure this morning: I went back to the bike shop to have some adjustments done. They had me riding the bike on a trainer while they watched and took measurements. Got it adjusted so it's a lot more comfortable now. I was riding home and I got about a mile and a half from the shop when I hear CRUNCH and the…

reprobate...I just had to say I LOVE your username!! :-D

I gotta take the bike back in tomorrow for some adjustments. They have a tiny parking lot for test rides so it's really hard to tell whether something fits you or not. Riding home I was pretty scrunched up and it was hard to unclip at stops. So they'll take care of that for me, even if it means swapping for another size.…

Well, I decided to go with the Trek! Rode it home, what a difference from the "old lady bike"!! Wheeeeeeeee!!! I decided against the Felt because while the Garmin paint job kinda looked cool, I thought of the guys that have the street cars painted like NASCAR team cars. Every time I see one, I think "What a douche!" I…

*It has everything to do with how you see Andy have a mechanical and you take off up the climb* Yes, that took a high level of douchebaggery.

Contador Cocktail: 1 liter of whitewash 500 ml oxygenated blood 20 mg clenbuterol Don't know if we can post pics here but I'll try. If it doesn't show, the pic is of AC with an enormous glass of some pink liquid. <a href="http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v638/ThisPerfectDay/?action=view¤t=contador.jpg"…

I found "The Flying Scotsman" DVD on eBay for a couple of bucks. Anybody else rooting for ABC to win the Tour? (Anybody But Contador) ;-)
-
Ooh, I love "Breaking Away". I liked "The Flying Scotsman" a lot too. Graeme Obree's announcement this year really shocked me!
-
Rainman, no problem! There are a LOT of bikes I'd love to have but they'll have to wait a few years! I REALLY want a Cervelo. I was in heaven riding that one. The other shop has an $8500 S-Works and he said, "You can ride that one if you want." HA! I was afraid to BREATHE on it!! In hindsight, I probably should have ridden…

I'm up for a cycling challenge! I sold my Specialized today so I gotta go pick up a road bike. Still haven't decided between the Trek and the Felt, though. Decisions, decisions!
-
Ahhhhh!! WHY did I have to stop at ANOTHER bike shop??? Last week I was ready to buy that Trek that I was in love with. Today I stopped at the shop where I got my Specialized and they had a Felt F95 that was in my price range (well, with my Spec on trade anyway!). I LOVE THIS BIKE!!! But I loved the Trek too!!!…

I'm a giant bike nerd, too. My DVR is filled with bike races.
-
I've never seen a used Cervelo for sale around here. I'd never even seen ANY Cervelo around here until I went to that bike shop. It's just not possible to buy that one yet. I don't mind an entry-level Trek for a few years. It's still a lot more bike than the Specialized slug I have now.
-
Ohhhhhhhhh, I am in LOVE...with a bike. I just test-rode a Cervélo S2 :::drool::: and it was fantastic!! Of course it's WAY more bike than I need right now, not to mention way out of my price range! I rode the Trek 1.1 which is more in my universe and I love that one too! The Cervélo can wait a few years. :::sigh:::
-
Also, does anybody know I can change the miles on my TickerFactory ticker?? I can't get to it for some reason!
