Well done Beeps!!

Impressive indeed! I am wannabe ironman, but have run a few marathons. I am trying to get back into the running zone, but there seems to be many issues holding me back. I blame everything on aging and menopause.

Hello all. My out of town meeting was canceled at the last minute (prior to leaving) so was happy about that! I know I would enjoy the meeting, but was not looking forward to the 4 hour drive and the overnight stay. Instead I went for a little run after work and then had a nice visit with my lady friends. :) It turned out…

I feel your pain. The measuring tape is a much better (and truer) indicator.

Once again, I have been on the road a lot. On the road again tomorrow. Sigh. I did get a run in, followed by an hour of Pilates last night. Was planning on going for a little run today and it is SNOWING out! Horrible, wet, white flakes. Ugh.

I tried urban poling last night. apparently you are supposed to burn way more calories walking, using the poles than without. Anyway, it was a good walk and would use them again. May as well use the upper body as well while walking, making for a more of a full body workout than not.

Our stories are similar - age, sweet tooth, menopause weight gain. Sigh. I hear ya sister.

gave up my run to attend a one hour"core confidence' class that was marked as "intermediate Medium Impact Class". Well! It was an hour of lecture and practicing our breathing to strengthen our pelvic muscles. Ugh! What a waste of my workout time!
-
I find that yoga helps more with stretching and pilates works more on the strength of your small muscles. The pilates movements are more subtle. both work well for core stability. I do both, find them different, but love them both!

An hour of glorious Pilates yesterday. Starting to incorporate stretching and strength into my workout. Will help with my running. :)

What are the Vintage Olympics? Never heard of them before.

snowshoed for an hour yesterday. Will probably be the last time. Snow was way too wet....which means spring is on its way!
