  • I only had dumbbells when I started. Body weight moves are also great!! I started with Jillian Michael's DVDs. I'm also a fan of Chalean Extreme (Beachbody on Demand would have her, but there's a subscription fee.)
  • I'm at 10.5 so far! I would love to join in for the rest of this challenge. :)

  • Very inspiring! Congrats, and thank you.
  • There are some really cool groups and forum threads related to recipes. Find the community and the groups tabs, and do a search for what you're looking for. Lately, I love this group, and seeing all the tasty looking veggie foods that people are making:…
  • But what do they replace it with in chemical flavors and artificial sweeteners?
  • I'm a firm believer in "only you can make yourself feel better about yourself" (or happy, or whatever feeling you want to feel more of). You can do this! Make a list of your "whys" and always remember them. Dig deep and find your ultimate purposes for going on this journey, why it's worth it, and how it will make you feel.…
  • Welcome! As someone who is studying nutrition, I would strongly recommend you work with a holistic nutritionist or naturopath to compliment your journey to health and healing. All the best!!
  • It's a small trampoline. Good for stress reduction, lymph circulation, and cardio.
  • Welcome! I'm sure you will find much support!! You can search the forums for WW threads. Best wishes!
  • Congrats on being here!! I really like the accountability buddy group: https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10790611/accountability-buddy/p47 Best wishes!!
  • Yes, weight loss COULD slow down, but that's just an obstacle that might not even be the case for you, and this is a MENTAL game as much as anything else. I think 5 lbs a month is VERY achievable. Congrats on your commitment to health so far! I'm about to turn 35 very soon. It's a good place to be!! Haha
  • I have a rebounder too! It's new and I rarely use it cause I don't know what to do, and get bored. Do you have any suggestions??
  • Hi, and welcome!!

  • Would be interested in joining your group too please. :) I'm at 157 ish and Trying to get to 135-145 ish
  • Just. Yes! To the above! @AnnPT77 reminded me of something I heard recently, too, which was that we are more motivated by goals we set that have to do with something we are GAINING versus something we have to lose or give up. So, losing weight or giving up treats is not a motivating goal, but being able to lift heavier…
  • Hypnosis has been recommended to me. :) I was considering it. I also like tapping (EFT) to help deal with subconscious mental barriers. My advice for long term is eat healthy (learn to trust your intuition vs counting every calorie), move your body every day (doesn't have to be strenuous, but should make you breathe…
  • When I eat low-carb meals (usually breakfast and lunch), I got for a meat (ie chicken) and lots of veg (like a cup or more of brussel sprouts, or whatever you love). I like salads with fish too. Add some oil and vinegar (I like flaxseed oil and ACV) with seeds, shredded carrot, sauerkraut, seaweed, or whatever you like to…
  • @lemurcat2 Thanks for those suggestions!! I will check them out right now. :)
  • I wish I loved vegetables this much... I should try to find some good veggie recipes, cause mine are so boring. All I know is how to overcook them - or put them in soup. Actually, I do make a good bean chili with lots of veggies. :)
  • I started enjoying running in high school gym class. We were supposed to run around the park and the teacher timed us. The fit girls all did it in under 3 mins, and my time was 7, then lower and lower each time we did it! (We only did it 3 times, but still!) Since there, I've been an on and off runner. I joined a running…
  • I love this! I realize you posted this a while back, but I was thinking about finding some texting accountability buddies. Hope all is going well with your zoom group.
  • My goal is just to start being active everyday. I have abandoned most hopes that I will feel motivated to workout... That hasn't worked for me for at least a year! I am trying to build habits now. I hope this helps you in some way. :)
  • I wish I had an elliptical. I just bought a stepper machine, but it hasn't arrived yet. I don't have a lot of space. I have (and enjoy) kettlebells, dumbbells, slam ball, skipping rope, bands, yoga ball... What more does a girl need? (I also want a box, some dip bars, and a bench... haha)
  • Belly dance is something that has always motivated me in the past as well. I wish I was more consistent with it. Have fun!!
