I just go to Publix and get on the big scale in the store. It's pretty accurate.

You have to eat more. At your current rate you are going to push your body into starvation mode.

I'm 5'2" and have weighed between 125 - 135 since I was 17. I was always healthy, active and approximately a size 6. One morning my husband woke up and was suffering from severe abdominal pains and bloat. That started us on a nearly 2-year journey through medical mystery after medical mystery seeking a diagnosis and cure…

Thanks! I'm not sure why my ticker shows I need to lose 5lbs. I set it to 20lbs, that's what my doctor told me to lose. At my height he said I should be under 135. I will need to reset my ticker. Sandra, I'll check out the BMR calculator. Thanks for that tip!

Thanks! I'm 5'2 and I currently weigh 156. I entered into the site here that I want to lose 1lb a week and it automatically calculated me at 1,200 calories. I work in an office and I am primarily sedentary during the day and then I attend school all evening. I thought 1,200 was fine, I'm not hungry and I'm not having any…

Between those two...beautiful face.

You'll do great!!! One thing I did was to completely avoid cake. I didn't eat a single bite of cake (or cupcake) leading up to my wedding. It helped me lose weight AND it made my wedding cake taste that much better. It was like celebrating my weight loss triumph and my marriage all in one bite.

I know what you mean about photos! It was a recent photo of myself that made me realize I needed to make a change. I started wondering where that extra weight around my face came from and it was awful. Shredded my self-esteem. Good luck to you!! I am sure you will do great!

Eating at office parties. I moved away for a year and lost about 30lbs! When I moved back and was re-hired at my old job I gained 25lbs in a year. This office has donuts, cake, cookies, parties all of the time. I still attend but I no longer eat anything I didn't bring from home. I started seeing results pretty quickly.

My ticker is out of date. It should read that I lost 4lbs. Hooray!

You have a lot of support here. Just know that you CAN do this!
-
Yes, you can! You have 4 months and with the determination that I know a bride can have (went through the same situation myself in 2011) you will look perfect in your wedding gown! Best wishes and congrats on the wedding!

Good luck!! This is a great website and supportive community. You'll do great.

Good luck!! Don't be nervous. We are all here b/c we are in the same boat and have the same goals. Whether it's 10lbs or 100lbs it is still a goal to be healthier. :)

I didn't know it could be closed or hidden. Does it default to closed? I would prefer mine being open so that I could be held accountable.

I am in a much healthier relationship now. My husband is really great. He doesn't care if I wear a size 4 or a size 12 (my range since we've been together). Good luck to you too! I hope you both reach your goals. :)

I had a weight loss goal before my wedding too. I made it but just barely. When our wedding was over I lost focus of that goal and gained every bit of my weight back. My suggestion would be to focus more on developing healthy habits for you and your husband-to-be and a little less on the weight goal by your wedding…

I actually met my husband on MySpace. We both played one of the stupid games. Then we both closed our MySpace accounts but we reconnected a few months later on Facebook. We messaged and talked on there, a year later I visited him, two weeks later I moved, 5 months later we got married, 17 months later we are still together…
