I was a habitial scale person, daily first thing regardless of what was going on. Two weeks ago I had my husband hide my scale and I am doing my normal work-outs, eating right, and not letting a stupid number dictate what my day will be like. I am going to weigh in once a month, but I can tell you it has already made a big…

I have been following a low-carb lifestyle going on three years. I tend to eat my carbs in the morning because they fuel me for the day. I typically eat oatmeal in the am. I have much more energy, my mood is better, muscle tone is more defined, I have super low cholesterol & healthy blood pressure, you name it. I still…

OMG I thought I was the only one. I started it when I quit smoking. I love the taste in the first few minutes. It is fine, no significant calories, fat, or carbs. Can give you headaches from chewing though :)

I have salt cravings too! I typically reach for dill pickles that tends to help and calorie wise not a bad choice. i switched to sea salt too, it is wonderful. Good luck.

I started a boycott myself about a week ago. it was starting to run me and I decided I can't let a number dictate the kind of day I was going to have. I am going to weigh once a month and see how it goes. I have heard clothes are a better indicator so I am going to test that theory. Best of luck!!!

Not a huge fan either. I make myself eat half a banana a day. I do love veggies though.

Wash and prep all veggies on Sunday and bag them up so they are ready for salads, snacks, lunches, dinner, ect... I swear by this. I do a weekly menu for dinners too that makes life easier.

I used to work out in the morning and I would feel energized all day. I started a new position that requires me to commute and I leave much earlier so I have been working out when I get home. I am absolutely wiped out in the evenings and my energy levels are dragging all day long. I can't get the motivation to wake up any…

Go to McDonald's and get the Asian Salad w/Grilled Chicken. I love, love, love it! It is fast and under 400 calories, and DELICIOUS! Hang in there, no Sonic!! Luckily we don't have them where I live but for some reason they still advertise here, I saw the fried ice cream it does look divine! Good luck!

Keep at him! My husband was the same way, drank over 40 oz of soda a day (regular) ate at every fast food daily. He was facing serious health issues at only 25 years old. 5 years later he is 50lbs lighter, eats sensibly, and is getting ready for an iron man tri. I can't keep up with him anymore! There is tremendous power…

Good for you! My husband and I bit the bullet and bought nice bikes last summer and are truly having a blast. We have made a lot of great friends in the cycling community and started our own "Saturday Coffee Ride". Enjoy your new adventures it really is worth the investment!

My chihuahua is a fabulous trainor. He runs five miles a day. My husband and I take turns taking him out, it is adorable he starts stretching as soon as he sees his leash come out. You just never know. It is a great thing to do with CRAZY puppies, we sleep a lot better now.

I've been following a low carb lifestyle for about 2.5 years. I have found that I need some carbs for energy so I always eat oatmeal in the morning it really helps give me a boost and it is very filling. If I find I am super tired or lethargic I always keep a South Beach bar with me.

Thanks for all your support and suggestions. I know I need to up my carb intake so I really am trying. I have been religous about low/no carb for about two years, and I am at the point where I don't even want them anymore. I will keep you posted on how things go.

Haven't lost a single pound, but my shape looks different. I have trouble sleeping but that is/can be normal for me. It is a Sprint (short distance) 3 mile run, 12 mile bike, 3 mile run

I am preparing for a duathon on June 1st so I am trying to really focus and I thought I was doing pretty good. This morning my husband told me I need to slow down and that I am not eating enough to fuel all the exercise I do. He wants me to be prepared that there will be a lot of others in the race that won't train like I…

I live by my crock pot and you can make healthy things. Chicken breast, diced tomatoes, onion, and garlic to taste- cooks all day and the chicken is super tender/ add a salad and you have a great healthy meal in no time. Turkey chili- brown up some lean ground turkey- throw in crock w/3 cans of beans, 2 cans of diced…

Yes I have been there myself, my cycle even stopped for 6 months. My Dr. told me to up my calories and slow down a bit on the work-outs. We are still trying, I guess you just need to relax a bit, eat a little more, and let nature run it's course, maybe through in some extra wine and mood music too  Zenmama's advice…

I bought a road bike last summer and am officially hooked! I even bought an indoor trainor this winter and have found it to be a blast! I truly feel it is the most fun way to get in a great cardio work-out. Give it a whirl explore your inner child! I was skeptical too, I preferred running at first but now I do both and…

Any of the Beach Body series are fab (Turbo Jam, P90x, Slim'N Six) they really are great!!! Not sure if any of you have in demand cable with the fitness channel but that is the best way to try them out and they have probably over a 100 on there, anything from walking to abs to getting ready for your wedding. My new fave is…
